Although I'm from Pinellas County, I came across this place almost 15 years ago and fell in love with it. It's out in the industrial area where food truckers come to get a good meal, diner style. it's a small diner hole in the wall, but not hole in the wall as far as unclean or messy. I am talking fast efficient service, small mom and Pop diner serving up good quality food. Every time I come, which is probably been about three or four times in the last 15 years as I always forget about it when I'm driving through Tampa, this place has never let me down. I always get a standard breakfast, but those home fries get me every time. The coffee is strong and it's good and you don't get that at a lot of restaurants. I can't say that I'll be back because again it's been 15 years and I still keep coming back. So take that for what it is lol. read more

Place has some character sure but could use remodeling. I went here because I wanted steak and eggs. Unfortunately they dont serve eggs after 11am, which I could understand if they also served dinner past 3pm. However they're only open until 3pm though and it was super slow so I dont see why ordering breakfast at 11:30am would've been an issue. So I settled for the chicken gyro. Wasn't bad but was definitely mid, (something I could've probably made better at home). And I ended up paying almost $20, but felt like I didnt pay money, felt like i lost money. Great price and the food was delicious. I ordered the cheese omelette with egg whites and hash browns with cuban bread toast. $1 up charge. My partner ordered the 10oz steak, scrambled eggs and home fries and toast. She likes her eggs dry and they were cooked to her liking. The steak was ordered medium and cooked medium. After i ordered a bacon eggwhite and cheese sandwich for later. I ate it there lol. It was good. The coffee was fresh and kept coming. The service was outstanding and friendly. We never had to ask for a refill. Our server was that on top of things. I believe she was the only server at the time. 6:30am to about 8am. Legit diner!! What a gem. Great prices for brekkie and lunch. Didn't take photos of the pork chop dinner, their country fried steak special both came with mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and a slice of Cuban bread, very filling. We also got a Greek salad, huge, tasty, and clam chowder and chili. Only took photos of the chowder and chili. Was too hungry. Server was super sweet, attentive and knowledgeable. She also wore a mask. We also got a half sweet half not iced tea and it was perfect. I'd def recommend this joint. read more

They dont care anymore-grits are not boiled in salted water, order is never the wat you order them, been asking then to get smoked sausage for over 7 yrs-toast is never really thoroughly toasted. Butter tasted as if fridge needed cleaning as it had picked up a stale/old taste. Horrible county inspection report. The Food was plentiful, tasted incredible and all homemade! You have to try their Eggs Benedict with Hashbrowns that we had covered in cheese, onions and mushrooms. One of my most favorite places in Tampa. As a little girl I used to get so excited with my grandfather or parents would take me here for lunch. The owners are a fantastic couple with a love of food and people that you can immediately sense when you walk in. Mostly lunch regulars that work in the area, its packed at lunch time and is just the right amount of full on Saturday mornings. Everyone knows each other and if they dont, they welcome you with an immediate hello There are daily specials that are easy on the wallet but absolutely delicious. I always joke with my dad about getting the Monday Spaghetti because there are usually traces on his tie. The homemade Clam Chowder is a must try and anything greek on the menu is always a delicious bet! If you are a breakfast person as I am, the egg and cheese sandwich on fresh cuban bread is a must try on Saturday mornings... plus real shredded and flat top cooked hash browns. Due to my unexpected day off from work courtesy of Hurricane Irma, I searched for a breakfast spot nearby and that lead me to the Anderson Road Café. From the outside it's not the best looking place, but my breakfast delivered. Props to them for not closing early and panicking like Panera and Starbucks. The parking lot is extremely small and it's tough to get in and out of. Inside is a lot larger than I had anticipated as there were over 20 tables. Nothing was crammed and the restaurant was very spacious. The menu had terrific value to it along with a nice amount of options. My food was out in under ten minutes and the portion was enough to feed two people. Every ingredient on my dish was cooked nicely and it tasted great. My server was very nice and came around often just to check on me and refill my drink when needed. The mom and pop atmosphere with diner feel to it makes it feel like you're right at home. The breakfast is definitely worth the trip to Anderson Road Café. read more

Initially I don't remember the fish & chips all are talking about & truthfully I have never tried it. This restaurant is open for breakfast & lunch. It seems I am in the area at breakfast time & that brings a smile to my face. They say the test of a good cook/chef is how well they can cook eggs. We ate here for the first time going on the ratings. The soda was flat and they didn't change it out. Hmmm...Husband ordered Bacon Cheeseburger and I ordered an Italian Sub. The Bacon Cheeseburger tasted like it had liquid smoke on it and it was ok. I ordered the Italian Sub an needless to say it was a Disappointment!! To say the least it looked like a lot of meat, however the bread was stale and way to much for this sandwich. I've never seen an Italian Sandwich not toasted or hot. Been going here for years. Charming little place to have breakfast or lunch. Great daily lunch specials that include tea for an extra dollar. I haven't found anything I don't like. My favorites include Country fried steak, baked chicken, salsbury steak and open faced turkey sandwich. Friendly service. Definitely recommend. Only complaint is the parking lot has patches over patches, needs to be re-paved badly. Be careful when driving in and out. read more

I drove by this place a few times on my way to work and thought "I'm gonna have to try this place"...Well, it's a good thing I did. Fish N Chips are fantastic...Not the frozen fillets you find in the store...These are fresh cooked.
