Finally stopped in to Lutz Country Store and Cafe. I usually think about it on Wednesdays, but that's the one day per week that they're closed. Had lunch with my 12 year old son there today. We both had the Cuban Sandwich, mine with potato salad, his with fries. We each had a bottled Coca Cola with our meals. First, let me say that the store itself is VERY charming. Having spent quite a bit of time in true country stores in my life, the owners did a great job recreating that atmosphere. The employees were all friendly, considerate and professional. They had Pixie Sticks on the table, which I haven't had since I was a kid. My son had never had them, so he enjoyed that tasty sugar rush. :) Food came out about 10 minutes after ordering. The potato salad was a traditional, non-sweet recipe, and was very good. My son's fries were phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned. I grew up in the 70s and 80s, and spent A LOT of time in Ybor City visiting paternal grandparents, so I've eaten some fantastic Cuban Sandwiches from mom & pop diners that no longer exist. The sandwich came out looking beautiful. The roasted pork had a good flavor - a little on the salty side, but not overpowering. The ham and salami were also top-shelf. All in all, I'd have it again. The table next to us ordered the burger and also a BLT, and both looked amazing. Will come for breakfast the next time.

Decided to try this new place in Lutz. They have done a great job of remodeling the exterior and interior of the building. The parking lot has also been remodeled and their was adaquate parking. We showed up to late for breakfast and ordered off the lunch menu. I ordered the Pastrami on Rye with the cucumber salad. My wife ordered the BLT with the cucumber salad. The pastrami with melted swiss cheese was excellent. My wife also enjoyed the BLT which came on sourdough bread. It was a good lunch and we definitely will come back to try the breakfast menu!

Outstanding smash burger! Shoestring fries with a Coke in the bottle for a 10 out of 10 experience.

Fantastic as always! The food is fresh. We love their pancakes and french toast. Our kids devour…read morethe kids meals every time! Their coffee is also good, fresh! This is a good sized location and they are very quick.

Out of my bookmarks and into my belly. Finally, after years of thinking about Brunchies, now I can…read moretalk about Brunchies-and there are good things to say. It's in a strip mall, along SR 54-west of Wesley Chapel, but not by much. It was bigger inside than I expected and had a cozy/quaint family feel to it. Lots of tables booths-busy on a Monday morning but no wait-and it wasn't loud-just "humming." My server came right away. He was polite and attentive and kept track of me well. I appreciated his offer of a to go cup for my water. This was going well. And then, there's the food. I ordered the goddess omelet-made with three egg whites, spinach and so much gorgeous, salty, tangy, glorious feta. I didn't wake up thinking I was going to have the best omelet of my life that day... but phhh, I did! It was filling, but not heavy or greasy. It was cooked to perfection-and the fillings were fresh and abundant. It came with potatoes (or grits) that were also cooked perfectly-not soggy or too hard-and lucky for me, no onions. It was also the perfect portion. Any more and I would have felt guilty for eating them all (I never leave a potato bite behind). And... after craving bacon for about a month... I gave in and got some-nice big slices, thick and crispy. This was a happy and tasty surprise. A clean, casual, yummy place with plenty of parking. I will be back to Brunchies a bunch(ies).

I went for weekend brunch and they offer bottomless mimosas and sangria (red and white). A heads-up: the sangria came straight from the bottle without the usual fruit you'd expect. Not my favorite take on it, but the vibe and service made up for it. Staff were super friendly and attentive, which really added to the experience. The food? Tough decision between the avocado toast breakfast and the breakfast pizza--but the pizza won. Solid choice! I got mine with sausage (you can also choose bacon or veggies). Extra veggies are $1.75 each, and I added mushrooms and spinach. Worth it. Oh, and they've got a brick pizza oven, which is always a bonus. Fun detail: their pizza/calzone topping menu has a cheeky note that says "No pineapple--don't ask!" with emojis. Gotta love a place with a sense of humor. Highly recommend checking this place out. I'll definitely be back--especially for pizza and a cold beer during a Lightning game.
