So when I consulted with him, he exactly knew what the problem was, gave me a decent quote and even gave me a tip on how to claim my lifetime warranty on parts through MOEN. I did what he told me to do talking to MOEN rep and I got my brand new faucet for free! He installed the new faucet and fixed the leaks and he made sure everything was tested properly. He cleaned up well, showed up on time and answered all questions very professionally. He has a friendly and positive outlook and always smiling. We even shared a few laughs when talking about home improvement projects. He grew up locally in Pleasanton, I reckon, so it's nice to support local business owners. Unreliable. Scheduled with Sam for some work, the day before he cancelled due to feeling under the weather. (Understandable) We agreed to reschedule a couple days later. Sam didn't show up for the rescheduled appointment, i texted him and he said he's still feeling sick. (He could have updated that he wasn't coming) We rescheduled for the next week. Again the appointment passes and I text him. Sam claims an emergency came up and asked to reschedule. (Fair) Also claimed he lost my contact info and was waiting for me to call/text. (Not sure how that's possible unless he got a new phone since we've been texting for multiple weeks). Sam agreed to meet the next day... Guess what. No show again. No response to text. We didn't have to go out of our way to find the correct parts. The cost was also very reasonable (we shopped around before finding Samuel). He provided excellent service, great communication throughout the process, and answered any questions we had. He also pointed out some things we should watch out for in the future (our heater is 10+ yrs old, we actually didn't catch that; didn't try to up-sell like others) and provided some advice on fixing our disposal. I was looking for a plumber to look at a kitchen faucet issue I was having. I found Anderson on Yelp! and decided to give them a call. Left a message and Briana returned my call promptly. I explained to her my issue and sent her a couple of pictures she requested and arranged for an afternoon appointment for Sam to come by to do the repairs. Sam fixed my issue over the phone! After looking the pictures and hearing what my issue was, he called me and told me what he suspected what the issue was and walked me through the fix. Out of the numerous plumbers I've been speaking with the past couple of days you and one other company (which I used before, but he was booked until next week) were the only ones that really tried to help me out instead of the other way around. Sam is the owner and he is fantastic! He came out to give a free quote (which a lot of places don't provide) and was incredibly knowledgeable about my gas line and backyard set up. I wanted to lay a new gas line to my 3 gas appliances in the backyard b/c my last contractor did a horrible job building it and the gas line cracked and leaked below the ground. Sam was very honest about the fact that I shouldn't waste additional money on testing for a leak b/c he's certain by now the leak is probably all over the gas pipes b/c my contractor used shoddy materials and the soil has eroded the pipes over the last 8 years. He explained what it would take to properly replace it, offered some cost effective solutions. But in the end I decided not to do anything to my yard just yet b/c I'm waiting for after the fall when we aren't using the yard as frequently to do a complete remodel. I am definitely going to call Sam back for that work and to fix some water fixtures around the house when we're comfortable having people in the house. They offered to come out within the hour to see to the mystery leak issue (water company said a few gallons was leaking somewhere while house has been empty) so it was a find-the-leak situation. Nice company, had to reschedule once, but that was no big deal. The only problem was he said he would evaluate our sewage issue, never mentioned that there would be a cost for his evaluation, and then sent a random bill for the evaluation? This was our first time working with Anderson Plumbing, we just found them on Yelp when looking for some opinions on a sewage issue, so when speaking to him on the phone he sounded like he wanted to come over to help out. We didn't know what that meant, he didn't mention any costs, or what he would be doing, he just said he would like to stop by. When he stopped by he didn't mention an evaluation cost to us then either? If he had mentioned there was going to be a cost, it would have been no big deal to agree to the price. But, instead he sent us a surprise invoice without any agreement on what the price should be for an evaluation? He told us this was our fault for questioning the bill since I guess it was just assumed he was allowed to charge us whatever he wanted since he came out? So in the end he told us not to call him again. All we told him was we don't mind paying for evaluations, but we believe it is his responsibility to communicate the cost upfront, not send a surprise bill? Anyways, life goes on. read more
