dark chocolate was nice flavor, not bitter, like other dark chocolate.

I purchased the lars bar. very yummy. also had a dark chocolate hazelnut bar. Their chocolate is very good. I definitely will stop in again when i travel to Illinois.

my fiancé and I stopped in today- I had shared some candies with him that I got from my last visit to Richmond and we knew we *had* to go when we got the chance. the shop smelled so good- the smell of sweets hit your nose as soon as you walk in. Katie was so sweet and told us all we needed to know about the candies her family's shop offered. I can't wait to come back in July! (plus we got these little frogs in a blind grab bag from the shop! we both told one another how we got the best item right before revealing them to one another and laughed how perfect they were)

Chocolate. Donuts. Gifts. It is a happy place! We entered on a cold day walking the streets of Richmond, IL. We took in all their gift offerings like Christmas ornaments, household supplies and... chocolate! Loads and loads of chocolate. The homemade bars are the best. I got a chocolate peanut butter crunch - it is sorta like a Clark bar or a Butterfinger. Those are for reference only because these Anderson bars are in a league of their own! Then, they tell me they have these homemade donuts. I get some - a 12 pack for the family. They are smaller two-biters so don't judge... they were fresh, warm and melted in the mouth type of donuts! So, so good! It was a fun place to be. A happy place to be. My only regret - I didn't buy enough candy bars!

A Richmond (& Barrington) institution, original family run chocolatier & gift shop. Stopped by today with my Daughter& Bride for some after dinner treats. Picked up their: Dark Chocolate Toffee bar, Orange Flavor, Peanut Butter Cup delicacy, and others that barely made it home. Nothing like fresh homemade chocolates. Their gift shop is also worth a stop & pick up for those hard to please folk. When in Richmond ( on your way to Wisconsin) stop by & buy some...Your worth It! Cheers!!!

A local delight with kitschy decor, 5-star customer service. A good stop on a laid back Sunday to Lake Geneva. HOUSEMADE CHOCOLATES -- a blast from the past chocolate ingredients and preparation. Niche. RETAIL -- plenty of Jelly Belly selections. Seasonal decor. Variety of hard candy selections.

Pretzel rods - mmmm. My personal favorite.

What a delightful shop! My family and I stopped in yesterday after touring some of Richmond's antique shops. I enjoyed a white chocolate-dipped pretzel rod and the rest enjoyed a variety of homemade hand-dipped chocolate bars. My husband's toffee bar was especially delicious! Not a huge assortment of candies, but a great amount of chocolates. Definitely stop in if you're in town!

Cute shop in the heart of downtown Richmond, Anderson's sells milk or dark chocolate bars with something like 50 different ingredients to choose from, as well as bon-bon type chocolates and gifts. The best flavours in my opinion in the bars are the dark peanut butter crunch (kind of like a richer & more peanutty Butterfinger) the milk Raisin (tastes like a WAY better Raisinette) and the milk Peppermint. If you like chocolate, this is a MUST if you are in this area. They also do online orders too!

Cute little gift and amazing #candy #store

The donuts were very moist and fresh and everyone I shared them with were raving about the flavors they tried. The caramel pecan donut is my favorite. I also wanted some unique chocolates to bring for an upcoming girls weekend and picked up some cute items in their Celebrations section near the back wall. I visited around 11:30 am on a Sunday so there were a lot of cars parked near the Brunch Cafe' and in the parking lot, but I found street parking in a free, 2 hour maximum spot down the street. It was fun to also see seasonal items decorated with St. Patrick's Day and Easter themes already in the store. There are some tables and chairs inside too, to enjoy a coffee and conversation.

They had the most amazing donuts fresh and not greasy like most other stores. The flavors they had to choose from were fun and unique. They also have some gluten free options of treats. They have hand made chocolate I got a few for another day and finally ate them the chocolate was good and creamy. The raspberry had a nice flavor profile. All I can say on the donuts is drool drool. I will be back if I am in the area again. Go eat them. Oh such cute candy for the holidays.

I visited to get a little something sweet after dinner. They have a dozen or so ice cream flavors, plus fudge and chocolates and other candies. I chose to get a milk chocolate caramel and a marzipan fruit. Both of them were great, but I especially loved the marzipan. I rarely eat marzipan, but when I do, I'm always reminded of how much I love almond paste. Yum yum. The people who I was with who got ice cream said that their ice cream was good. I took their word for it because I'm not a big ice cream fan! The people behind the counter were very patient, as some of the people in my group were indecisive. There are just so many great goodies, and it can be difficult to decide what to get! The people at Kilwins get it, though.

This location, in the heart of downtown Lake Geneva, looks similar in many ways, but I felt like it was more spacious. When we were there, they were making several batches of fresh fudge, and the smell was overwhelming and delicious. It took me a few minutes to decide, but the staff were friendly and patient. I ended up with a few different cones: Kilwins Track, Salted Caramel, and Cherry. My biggest complaint? They gave me way too much -- it looked like at any second it was going to topple off the top of the cone. :) All three cones were excellent, and I'd be happy to stop by again.
