Our Airbnb host told us about Anderson's Coffee Company and we were in the area for breakfast while visiting Austin, so we stopped in. If you like coffee or tea, come here, but don't walk in expecting to buy a coffee or tea beverage to go - this is solely a roaster and gift shop that sells bags of coffee. We were welcomed in right away as we entered and helped with some recommendations in choosing a bag of beans - the employees were helpful and really nice. I had fun browsing the retail area with lots of mugs, coffee cups, travel mugs, tea kettles and tea pots, did I mention the mugs? They have a LOT of mugs. Nate got one that is heat sensitive with birds on it that change color as you add hot coffee. There seemed to be a slight emphasis on Japanese and other Asian items as well as several cat themed items, so I was smiling a lot as I kept noticing cat things. They had a whole display of fancy chocolate, some was pretty expensive. It was fun just looking around! It was a bustling shop as they were packaging up tons of coffee to ship out. Nate bought a pound of the Arthur blend which was recommended by the person helping us. Overall a very nice shop and highly recommended for any coffee lover.

I want coffee, do you want coffee, who wants coffee? Anderson's Coffee Company is the iconic coffee shop in Austin. It's over a 50 year tradition in our city. If you want the best beans, best teas, and or coffee supplies, candy, cards, gifts, then you need to come here. A well know establishment on Kerbey Lane and I promise you as beginner or coffee connoisseur, you won't be disappointed. The staff are beyond friendly and so darn knowledgeable. There isn't a bean they don't know. Always willing to recommend a tasty treat. Coffee beans rotate and then there are their amazing house blends. KG always steers me right with her recommendations. I recently purchased the Arabian mocha, small bean coffee described as a bit fruity. I never thought coffee to be fruity but OMG this is beyond delicious. They sell in whole beans and also can grind to your liking. I have an areopress and that's my jam. If you want the best it is here, 50 years plus says a lot.

I was very unhappy with the quality of the Guatemalan coffee. I've had it all over Guatemala and hadn't twisted anything as bitter and nasty flavored as theirs. Won't make that mistake again

Best coffee I have ever had. Non- acidic. Best roaster in the state. I can't drink any other coffee.

They have the best coffee. We have to drive all the way from Houston to get it but it's worth it. Try the organic Sumatra!

If you're lucky they'll have Flores Bajawa in, but if not, the Dark Sumatra is a close second.

Nestled in a cute food truck park, this place is a walk up and go kinda order but your coffee is out fast considering the long line. I may be the current Duke of this location, but there is still a lot for me to try. And dang, I really want one of those really nice tote bags. Before I discuss the coffee order I got this time. I wanted to shout out the customer service for being ridiculously amazing. Maybe it was because I got there super early and right when they opened, but this was the first time I did not see them super stressed and low-key freaking out. I usually walk away with my beverages, but this time I sat down. One of the baristas actually came out and checked on me to see how my drinks were. I found this to be super special. Okay, now onto the dirty chai that I ordered. I asked (when I asked about the floral notes that I was tasting) if they made their own chai in house and the woman told me that they in fact did. She also mentioned that I got the end of the house-made batch so what I was tasting might be different from a normal order. I thought this was quite interesting and this was another unique beverage, despite being a staple at many coffee shops. Would I order it again? Probably not but it was good! Also, with the Shoyu butterscotch, I would stick to the iced version. So thank you Desnudo for another great vibe and for making my one hour round-trip always worth it!

But not so terrible that I would never come back. The staff is really nice and attentive, and they have delicious pastries near the front of the bar as well. There is plenty of seating and charging outlets so you can continue to use your computer, or tablet as needed. It's also in a really cool location with pretty art outside. My recommendation to the staff would be to amplify the syrup flavoring just a tiny bit more on their special drinks. Other than that things are great!
