Target - Like a Monet; it looks nice from far away but up close it's a damn mess!

Date of visit: February 12, 2025…read more I was admittedly impressed upon driving up to the store given that it looks like no other Target I've ever seen on the outside, the cabinesque look of the entrance lending itself well to it surroundings. But all of that initial feeling faded away quickly when I saw that both trash cans outside the store were absolutely overflowing, reminiscent of the aftermath of a music festival, the garbage piled high and also surrounding the cans as though they had not been emptied in days. This sadly is the new normal for Target, the high standards from when I worked there long abandoned as they continue to try to chase Walmart instead of doubling down on the service that set them apart and made them the superior choice. While the inside of the store was definitely cleaner than the exterior, service was MIA (also their new normal) as not a single employee interacted or even looked at me while we browsed the mens, electronics, and grocery departments. The cashier was definitely not friendly, either; exactly why I lean towards self-checkout these days, it's harder for a computer to be rude to you!

For the second year in a row, trying to sign up for Target's so-called "college student discount"…read morehas been nothing but a nightmare. The registration system simply doesn't work, no matter what I try -- and once again, I was left stranded with no support. To make things worse, the in-store manager was not only unhelpful, but also rude and sassy, as if my inconvenience was an annoyance to them. I asked for assistance and was brushed off with attitude and zero effort to actually solve the issue. This I called customer service and stayed on the line for over an hour while still waiting in store. The result? Absolutely nothing. No resolution, no help, just more wasted time and frustration. For a company this size, this "discount" is nothing but a sham -- a marketing ploy that fails to deliver and leaves students hanging. After two years of this mess, I can confidently say: Target, do better. Or just stop pretending this discount exists.

Yah, they do good work, friendly and know their stuff....but, I was not too happy with their fees…read more I was quoted $85 to just transfer my data from my old hard drive to a new PC as the OS crashed on the old one. When I picked it up I was told my bill was about $145....about 70% more than the estimated quote. Now I know it could be higher but you would have thought they might call. They just said it was more involved than they thought...so why say it is fairly straight forward and it would be about $85, why not give me a range.....plus I had all the data on a back up drive. I might have just done it myself for $150...But I would probably go back BUT ask for the actual costs...

We have been working with Bastech for over four years now. The knowledge they posess always ceases…read moreto amaze me. I have received quotes on all work done in our office and the actual invoices are always as quoted. They built three brand new computers for us as we could not find anything powerful or fast enough without spending a fortune. Bastiaan also created our website and continues to maintain it for the past three years. Very professional, kind and quite witty, even though this has nothing to with computers, Bastiaan and his staff are a real pleasure to be around. We use this company not only for all IT issues and questions but quite often call them for assistance when purchasing anything technical and current. This company is not the cheapest in town however it should be obvious we consider them the best company in town to work with regarding anything technical and computer oriented as we continue to have an ongoing relationship with Bastiaan, the owner of Bastech. I cannot say enough good about this group.
