Jose and his crew absolutely rocked. They were able to scale the large trees in my backyard, and kept the cut limbs from falling on my roof. I called again to ask for an estimate because I filed a small claims against the owner to have the tree removed and I know an estimate will be required. When the owner called me back, she raised her voice and said she refused to get her company involved. Even though an estimate isn't a binding contract, she said it would drag them through the mud. I've never had someone react this way. I ended up hanging up on her because she was so rude and unprofessional. I didn't sign up to be lectured nor do I need to let someone berate me! She acted like I was 5 yrs old. Said I should put myself in her shoes and she used to work for a law firm. Ok? So have I. An estimate isn't binding. And I'm taking legal action. It's tough to choose a tree company - there are so many out there, how do you choose? I see…read moredifferent company trucks in our neighborhood all the time trimming our neighbor's trees. We did some research and had True Tree Masters come out to give us a bid. Steve, the owner I believe, came out. We liked him so much we didn't bother getting other quotes and hired them the next day. They were able to start the next day, which was great! The crew was early both days, and they are knowledgeable and careful in their work. Sometimes it is stressful hiring a company, because you always talk to one person at first, and you agree on all kinds of things, but the people doing the work don't always know all the things you needed done. Do not fear here: Steve was on-site both days to supervise and help out his crew! That was very nice to see! The workers did an amazing job and you can see they enjoy their work. We also very much appreciated that they take away all branches. They used a big wood chipper on site to chop up everything and take it away. That was a big deal for us as well and we were super happy for that! Acorn came highly recommended by the city…read moreas Code Enforcement had gotten some complaints in Southlake (imagine that) for the tree being close by a electric pole , but the guy from the city said they were a great company. So I called and spoke with Chris from Acorn. He got back to me right away. He was able to me be a day later and that was only because of my schedule not his. He came out and I told him what I wanted to have done to the tree. It was nothing fancy. It was get it off the citys electrical pole, the neighbors fence (which broke some) and they could just leave the rest for now lying on the ground. We talked about price and a day. His guys actually showed up earlier than the time stated and already had started working on things. Called Acorn and told her I would be writing a check and Brittany said she would be coming by to get it. But instead Chris came by to make sure the guys were doing what they should be. And he actually had them do a little bit more than originally planned! They did a great job for such a hot mess of a downed tree! So I would ABSOLUTELY 100% recommend hiring Acorn Tree Service.
