Nice spot full of succulents and cacti. This seems to be their specialty. It is all packed into a small area, so there is some jungle roaming discovery to do in this area, as you have to trudge through some thick areas with very small trails to find some of the items your looking for. Staff is super nice and helpful. We've been here a few times, always looking for more Desert Rose plants, this trip they had a lot, some blooming, but the cost has gotten crazy. This is a huge nursery. They sell a lot of plants but also they have so many pots and Mexican potteries. I do think those potteries are overpriced but I enjoyed looking around the store. I went there to look for marigolds for Día de muertos. I knew it was the end of the season for the flower here but was hoping they would have some left. I looked around but couldn't find so I asked the lady there if they had one by chance. The lady didn't even look at me and just said "we don't have it if you don't see it"... I mean, I am asking because I see too many plants and maybe I am not looking the right section ? What kind of customer service is that? I left quickly after. There is another big nursery just down the street and there everyone was so nice and I felt more welcoming. And I was able to find the flower there! read more

Best kept secret on the West Side of Fort Worth! Customer Service is great! The guys that work here are super nice and helpful! There's just about everything you need for landscaping. They had quite a few customers needing help at the same time. The gentleman that worked there was very cool and attentive to everyone. Please, stop by and take a look around. I'm sure, you will find something for your garden. They have a variety of colorful Mexican Pottery too. This pottery seems to be popular. I've seen it at Albertsons, Lowe's and Mike's Garden. I've made a handful of large purchases at this business and I'm sad to say today will be the last. I just had the account manager accuse me of doing the damage to my brand new vehicle- I would have zero problem owning up to that if I did that. I had two employees load a pot yesterday and didn't tell me that they damaged my vehicle in the process. Accidents do happen- but i don't see how they would have missed doing that. I would expect employees to be experts at loading vehicles with these larger, heavy pots better than the buyers... lesson learned. I was sad to discover the damage after I had already left the property, so unfortunately nothing can be done to rectify the situation.. but how the account manager handled me was by far the most unprofessional, combative, awkward, accusatory and defensive I've ever been spoken to. They didn't even want to hear my frustration or my findings of the damage and proceeded to shut down the conversation with telling me about their totaled vehicle instead. "Who cares" seems to be the running motto here in every way... read more

This is the best nursery I have been to in Fort Worth. Much better than Calloway and more competitive pricing. The selection of cacti, succulents, and palms is incredible. Plants often harder to find like string of pearls and string of bananas are here in abundance. They even have some very large potted Saguaro Cacti, which I have never seen outside of Arizona. Honestly, even if you aren't looking to buy a plant its still worth while to pop in for a visit to view the incredible plant collection. Went here for the first time since moving over this way. I loved it. I bought a few tiles and a gorgeous Lantana plant. We didn't actually buy anything from there today but the place is beautiful the people were so helpful and the supply seems endless they not only grow their own stuff but they had endless plants which are beautiful they have fantastic gargoyles beautiful pots all kinds of knickknacks and Windchimes we wanted to plant pansies and the gentleman gave sound advice telling us that in Texas this time a year is not the best time that they'll just die off and was willing to help us make other selections definitely a place to go again read more

This place is worth a stroll-around, even if you don't buy anything. It's a lot bigger than it looks, filled with huge vases, a variety of native plants, trees, and shrubs, and lots of garden decor. Inside the store the decor takes on another personality, one that is very colorful and almost tribal-looking. I thought many of the items were pricey, so I probably won't be a regular, but I enjoyed stopping by to see what Guardado offered. If you have a good budget and are looking for cactus/agave and good advice, look no further. We were (positively) shocked by the high level of personalized customer service we encountered at Guardado's Garden Center. They have a wide selection of high-quality succulents, which appears to be their specialty. Upon arrival, we were greeted by one of the knowledgeable and helpful employees, who guided us through to a purchase of nine very attractive plants. Having one employee who can answer all of our questions is a rarity these days. Also, another employee helped us load our car with our purchased plants and lined our trunk with newspaper (Yeah, I know!). The only drawback, if I could call it such, was that you do pay for quality here. However, after the clueless big box nursery experience, perhaps some investment in higher quality plants and advice will pay out in the long run. read more

Guardado's is a beautiful Garden center off Alta Mere in Fort Worth. I first spotted it a couple of years ago for the Talavera and other clay pots I could spot as I zipped by. Might be a good landscaping business (I couldnt tell you), but a decent person and a well run business for sure this is not. We went in to their establishment on May 6th and had an unfortunate accident. Their parking lot is less than stellar, no big deal.....but when visibility is reduced due to other vehicles, a sharp turn pulling in around those vehicles, and two pieces of steel rebar sticking out from one of their parking blocks (that they were aware of and did nothing about) damaged our vehicle. Under normal circumstances you would be able to see the obstructions and not park there, but given the circumstances we could not see well enough around the other parked vehicles and mistakes happen. Well, the steel pulled our front bumper cover off (partially) from the vehicle. We go inside the building, no manager on duty (personal trip) and the owner is not on-site either (vacation). So, we are stuck with dealing with a very young man (nice I might add) who couldnt really help us. He did tell us that "they" were told to push the steel into the existing holes and did not and that he actually had seen the steel protruding perviously and did not fix the problem. So, contacted both the manager and the owner (a total of 6 times) and received the following response from the owner Eloy Guardado. "I will call you tomorrow with the details on my decision after reviewing the video from the cameras on my property", that was on May 17th and still no response. I followed up with him again on May 23rd and here we are, a damaged vehicle that we feel like they are partially to blame for. I as the driver have some responsibility, but no response after confirming that he would follow up, what a pity. In this day and age, its like if I dont respond it didnt happen. We certainly wont be doing business with them. read more
