Where do I begin? Based off the good reviews I saw for this place, I figured I would go with my father for a pleasant Friday evening dinner. The atmosphere there is small, but admittedly homey. The waiter was nice and we were promptly served with drinks. However, the problems became apparent after that. Our table ordered two appetizers: fried calamari and garlic knots. It must've taken between 40-45 minutes for them to arrive. The reason given by our waiter for the delay was something to the effect of "Sorry, we had to deal with our pizza orders." I guess this place has trouble separating their take out service from their dine-in service; nonetheless I've never heard that given as an excuse for late-arriving food before. Our table then got our entrees. I will admit the food was all very tasty. However, while I was trying to enjoy my dinner, I disturbingly lost my appetite. Enter Ardini's rude owner/manager (I don't know his role). What I do know is that he was very rude. Without my knowledge, as if out of a movie, he barked in my ear something I could not understand. You'd think it was to ask me how my meal was or m if I needed anything. No. He instead rudely ordered me to take my shoes off one of the adjacent empty chairs; frankly I must forgotten my feet were placed there (I often shift my legs from position to position, so my left leg was crossed over my lap and was apparently touching the empty chair). I completely understand that the owner does not want my feet on his chairs, but you cannot yell at your customers like delinquent schoolchildren and expect them to return. I wound have no problem if he asked politely, or if he was incapable of himself asking nicely, to have our waiter ask me instead. Given the owner's rude tone, I instantly lost my appetite. It was a shame since the food was very good and I looked forward to having more. Perhaps the owner should spend more time ordering around his staff--given the 40-45 minute delay for my appetizers--instead of bossing around his paying customers. read more

11/1/1019 was my first time going there for apizza I was iffy so I got the Margarita style cuz I was cheap. $12.88. It smelled amazing in the business when I picked it up in 15 mins. Very packed with people. Once I smelled it in my car" I was like OH yeah" love that stink of delicious food. Opened it like a treasure and was picture perfect and tasting like I'll be going there 1-2 X a week if not more. I'm a Zuppardies guy since it's in west haven. When I'm in Orange CT this is my solid goto for excellent apizza. Next I'll try the Mashed Potato Pie. Great job Adinis. Went again last night for Meat lovers small pie. I was first introduced to Andini's when my boss ordered pizza and salads from here. I was blown away by the quality of food had to offer. My favorite pizza from here is the meat lovers pizza. It embodied the perfect flavors with a crust that was perfectly crispy. This is one of the best pizzas i've had in the area. The gorgonzola & walnut salad as well as the caesar salad was also huge and filling (the larger size is good to share). Andini's seems really passionate about the food that is being pumped out, and doesn't skip corners to compromise on quality. Which is something I really admire. All in all, a great place I will be back for more. read more

Always a great meal at Andini's! Owners & staff are great too! Really doesn't disappoint meal wise, it's become a staple for a good Italian meal in Orange. Could use a face lift inside and pump the heat a bit more in the winter. We use them often for our catering needs. Would love to dine in more in winter though. read more

We enjoyed lunch in the late afternoon. The service was very good. I had Pasta w/Meatballs Linguini two veal meatballs, marinara, fresh basil, parmesan. The sauce was very good and served with a spoon. The veal meatballs were tender and appeared to have been cooked in the a sauce. My wife had Gorgonzola & Walnut mixed greens, candied walnuts, cranberries, balsamic vinaigrette along with Eggplant Rollatini lightly breaded, with ricotta. We had a glass of house red wine. The only negative comment is that we were not offer any bread with the meal, which to us is unusual for an Italian restaurant. We would go here again. read more

The garlic knots are out of this world! I also enjoyed the calamari and lobster ravioli. Everyone in our group loved their meal. The portions are generous and the service is extremely friendly and great about substitutions/dietary issues, etc. Finally, the basil martinis are delicious. read more

We've been looking for a good local pizza and have been so far not too successful. This was a Margherita pizza. The pizza tasted like pre-chopped garlic from a jar. I know as I don't care for that taste, although I do like garlic, and this is not my only criticism. The pizza itself was basically a typical cheese pizza with a basic mozzarella cheese, sliced tomatoes laid on it and with sone garlic from a jar on top. It was just ok, not deserving of 5 stars, not sure where other reviewers are coming from. I expect a thin crust pizza, fresh mozzarella, flavorful tomatoes or a nice san Marzano sauce, and some fresh nice basil added before delivery. To be fair, I'm likely way more picky, and didn't care for Colony pizza as well as a few other local favorites, so it could be related to my own bias. read more

I purchased 3 great salads from here in different ocadecided to change it up from my usual... and there was big long thick straight hair wrapped under and around the left side of my salad. Sooooo gross!!! But I understand it happens... so I called And I was told to bring it back then I was told to throw it out. And they remade the salad for me I brought it back to my work now my break was over... so I ate between customers and noticed they left out an ingredient that they charged me for... I was told next time they won't charge me for it... over all imjust not happy because I really was looking forward to good food. If I go back I hope this doesn't happen again. read more

Light, warm, perfect. Between the penne a la vodka and chicken martini, a winner was too close to call. The winners were the two of us! Simply delicious dishes. And generous portions. Just had two large takeout pizzas. They were delicious! I was worried about trying a new place for pizza since this meal is no longer a cheap meal and a real investment. I ordered one bacon and one sausage. The crust was thin and crisp and the sauce was very good. Both the bacon and sausage were tasty. All three of us said we'd order again. A couple was sitting at the bar and a few people were at tables. Not bad for a very cold Thursday at 5:30. The waitstaff seemed friendly and pizza prices were no higher than any other restaurant I've been to. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because they have an extensive dinner menu that sounds great but I haven't tried yet. They are open for lunch weekends when we are looking for a bite to eat so I'll try a dinner then and update my review. read more

First time here, and it's was a great experience! We started with garlic knots which were not your regular knots - they were better and drenched in a garlic sauce, yummy! We got three pizzas - half pepperoni, half pineapple, margarita, and the meat lovers. The pizzas are about 12 inches big, one size for all, and are cooked in a brick oven. They were great! This was a great little find for a last minute Mother's Day lunch. We will definitely be back again. We had the garlic knots for an appetizer and my husband had the Alfredo with chicken, and I had the Pene a la Vodka. Both were delicious large portions that we shared with the kids. The food was quite good and you could tell there was a great deal of thoughtfulness about he preparation. By this I mean - the pizza wasn't too cheesy, it wasn't greasy or oily, the grilled Caesar was fresh and flavorful but not overdone! All in all I'd say the place was very solid. Not the best ever... But extremely solid. And sometimes, that's what you need. Don't be like me and judge a book by the cover - rather give this place a shot and I'd bet you won't be disappointed. I went here with my family for Father's Day and we couldn't have been happier. The food was amazing. The mistake was made on my sister's order, she ordered alfredo sauce and got marinara. The issue was corrected in about 5 minutes with profuse apologies from the waiter (who I believe was the owner). PLUS my mom & sister ordered Malibu baybreezes and they actually sent someone to the store for pineapple juice instead of saying "oh sorry we can't make your drink because we don't have any juice". Who does that?!?...lol. A place that cares about their clientele. That's who. The prices are a little on the high side but the food is absolutely worth it. My wife ordered take out from this restaurant and I will say the food was amazing. The only knock I have on this restaurant is when my wife asked for help to carry the food out because she recently had surgery on her arm, one person at the restaurant refused to assist her. Thankfully another person working at the establishment overheard what was going on and came to help. He apologized for his rude co-worker and went above and beyond.
