The Boston cream had a rich, smooth filling with the perfect chocolate glaze, and the strawberry sprinkles donut was perfectly sweet and nostalgic. What makes this place special is that it's both affordable and consistently delicious! They have all the classic flavors but also some specialty donuts if you want to try something different. The old-school ambiance gives it a real Brooklyn charm, and it feels like stepping back in time. Just remember to bring cash because it's cash only; but it's absolutely worth it.

The shop has a retro vibe reminiscent of a 1950s diner, offering a wide range of pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast options, making it a beloved local fixture for over 60 years. During a visit to Greenpoint, Brooklyn, I decided to explore the local food scene. As I researched, this donut shop kept coming up as a top favorite among locals. My daughter and I stepped inside, and it was buzzing with activity. The place had a nostalgic feel, and it's a cash-only establishment. There are so many donuts to choose from, but my daughter went with a Red Velvet, while I opted for a Sugar Raise--a classic sugar donut because it was my first time here and I wanted something simple. The donuts were decent. The Sugar Raise wasn't extraordinary, but it was fresh. I gave my daughter's Red Velvet a try, but it didn't quite hit the mark; instead of a subtle cocoa-vanilla flavor, it was pretty heavy on the chocolate. The service was friendly, and I'm glad we took the chance to visit this longstanding bakery, which has been around for more than six decades.

They recently started selling sandwiches and breakfast fare next door. I walk my daughter to school in the morning and the aroma of freshly baked bread is addictive. I almost always have to go in. The one thing I cannot resist is their ham and cheese croissant. It's huge and about $4.50 a pop. It's buttery and flaky and absolutely perfect... especially since Nick +Son moved to greenpoint. Nothing like a freshly baked croissant. They also deliver which has been a good experience as well.

The cafe sells INCREDIBLE food. The breakfast sandwiches are beyond delicious. They customize ur breakfast sandwich as well & the employees are very nice & welcoming. The smoothies are DELICIOUS!!!!! They only have 1 size which is probably the only bad thing about this place. Then there's the bakery on the corner of manhattan av and Montrose. The BREAD sold there IS THE BEST BREAD U HAVE EVER HAD!!! It's fresh all the time ( very soft) & they have a variety of breads. They also sell coffee and cakes. Fresh bread is constantly coming out due to it selling out so u may have to wait 5 minutes for a new batch) I give Tasty Bread Artisan a 10/10.

stopped into Paris Baguette the other day and it's exactly what you want from a chain like this…read more Not pretending to be artisanal, but still hitting a solid level of quality. I grabbed a ham and cheese croissant and a strawberry soft cream cake. The croissant was actually flaky with a decent butter flavor, not dry or bready like a lot of chain spots. The ham wasn't cheap-tasting either, which I half expected. The strawberry cake was light and not overly sweet, more whipped cream than sugar bomb, which made it easy to finish without feeling gross. Also tried their iced latte. Nothing fancy, but it wasn't burnt or watery, which honestly already puts it above a lot of similar chains. What stands out is consistency. You can walk into almost any location and know exactly what you're getting. Display is always stocked, everything looks clean, and the ordering process is quick even when it's busy. It's not a destination bakery, but that's not the point. It's a reliable, better-than-average stop when you want something quick that still feels a little elevated.

The staff is really nice and easy-going. Also, the young (I think) 2nd Gen owner (very cool seeing the culture carried on) is there a lot. Everything is freshly baked and a good portion. Even the sandwiches and salads in the packaged food case look really good. I've had the custard cream bun, hotdog garlic roll, & a egg, ham & hash brown roll (wasn't a huge fan, the hash brown doesn't stay crispy). I've tried the Portuguese egg tart (Pastel de Nata) & that wasn't so great - reminded me of the egg tarts from Aldi, sweet bland filler custard. The staff can heat the pastries up for you, but it might take at least two rounds for larger items. Highly recommend the round fried rice flour/mochi doughnut, soboro bao (the peanut butter crust-topped bun) & if they have, a coffee/mocha shell-topped bao. You can't go wrong with a Korean chiffon cake slice - not too sweet, and light as air buttercream. Not sure if the strawberry cake is based off of Japanese strawberry (birthday) cake. I've never had their drinks, so don't have a review about them. I don't get the impression that the drinks are the strength of the café. Paris Baguette is a chain from Korea. I think their cafés in Korea are a lot bigger and very nice/comfortable, the US version is a more minimal and quick service kind of set up. For $4 -15 you can get a decent pastry, sandwich, or salad which is a great option for the area, LaGuardia Community College students & hotel guests nearby.
