If you don't see the book you want, Jen can order it for you. There are author talks and book signings, event nights and giveaways, as well as board games and art for sale. Several book clubs are offered during the winter months for thoughtful discussions, learning new skills, making new friends, and reading fun. There's value in community. The owner is named Jeff he's super laid back and a reminders me of a OH (original hipster- just made that up but as a gift to you I will let you use it-Your Welcome) not that new age hipsters that are taking over Brooklyn faster then that mice on a NYC subway station. This shop has all your favorite music that has inspired the vast majority if not all of the current music your hearing today. Jeff opened this store over 30 years ago and is a music genius himself. This shop is packed floor to ceiling with very cool Atracks, Vinyls, Tape Cassettes, CDs of all oldie but goodies. Music is a passion for some people and you can feel that this store is filled with not just music items but packed with Love. You can see that like this name of this shop music is in Jeff's DNA I'm not a music person. I love music but hated my grade school musical teacher so that were I being to dislike music. Evens&Oddities made up for this as my full haul from Massachusetts. I was impressed upon walking in. I felt like I'd walked into a wizards shop with so many trinkets and wares to pick from. The atmosphere is perfectly dark and eerie. The selection is so unique, I can't say I've seen very many chameleons and zebra skulls in every shop I've been to. The thing that really stood out to me was the pieces of art. Most oddities shops you walk into will sell individual bits and pieces but Kyle has done a beautiful job of turning the puzzle pieces into art. I felt I was really getting my moneys worth with stuff I can put on my walls and shelves. The shop owner is extremely kind and a joy to talk to!!
