fun vibes, but off putting actual drink flavors? speakeasy/dark interior, walked in on friday night around 7:30 ish without a res for 2 people. you can walk in and just get lucky like we did or hang around behind the bar to wait for someone to leave we got the beet cocktail and the ginger/carrot one. ginger carrot one was definitely better than the beet one although like a worse version of the carrot cocktail from rex at the royal lmao. the beet one tho was bad?? gross, kinda like a fresh pressed juice if u added liquor which just makes both parties taste worse. entire menu had the vibe that they wanted that 'wow' factor with the flavor pairings but at least the ones we tried fell short of that mark and were just a bit gross wouldn't return tbh 1 drink per person after tax and tip is about $25 so for that price a lot of better bars out there read more

Went for drinks last night and had an amazing time. The bartender was lovely and I'm so sad I can't remember her name at the moment. The drinks are pricey, but unique and tasty. I could drink many of those 'bourbon infused with lamb' martinis. My goodness! Perfect for a date night or just hanging with friends! Cool vibes! read more

The ambience and drinks here are amazing! We made a reservation approx 5 days in advance and the person on the phone was super nice and helpful. The service once we got to the restaurant was okay but very slow and a little bit cold. We sat upstairs which may have been the reason the service was slower but we felt like they were a bit uninterested. We had to hail them down and then they seemed kinda annoyed we wanted to get a second round. It was a sat night but there were other free tables. Came here for evening drinks last Friday for the first time but had been looking at the place for a long time. What a great experience! We got a reservation for 4 people so we could sit at one of the tables. Venue is small, dimly lit, and surprisingly quiet. Staff are friendly and attentive. Menu isn't huge but is very varied. Lots of savory snacks. We had the cheese board which was fantastic with lots of house made jams and dips. Some unique items which was great. We also had the beef tartare with Manchego. This wasn't as good - the beef was just overpowered by the cheese. The drinks though were fantastic! I had the Nothing Beets a Dala Horse. Such a unique flavor, great texture, and absolutely delicious. Also had the boomerang which again was some unique flavors with nothing overpowering. The vegetable and Swedish flavors that made their way into everything were great. Really some unique drinks that you can't get anywhere else. Only thing I wish is that they had a couple non alcoholic options. Price was reasonable compared to other cocktail bars in the area. Have already started recommending this place to others. What a little hidden gem! Pretty unassuming from the outside but once you walk in, you're transported to a night filled with great drinks, great food and a beautiful ambiance. It's pretty dimly lit and I could see this place as the prime post dinner date night spot as you can easily hold conversations at a normal speaking level. We got seated upstairs, which was definitely a more intimate environment and I really enjoyed this. Service was impeccable and the server was able to provide excellent suggestions and we thoroughly enjoyed all the drinks we got. Price point is a bit higher than typically Philly prices but you definitely get what you pay for! Definitely some of the best drinks that I got here. Highly recommend! read more

Lately I'd given up on cocktails. I like to be around them, like when the people I'm with have them and to maybe steal a taste, but it had been a long time since I had one that grabbed me. Andra Helm is making amazing cocktails. Like, Hop Sing level cocktails (perhaps the highest compliment I can give). The beet cocktail is outstanding. Flavorful, with a muted sweetness, and interesting. The beet is the star, but we did not have a bad drink. The bar and lounge is beautiful, dark, and intimate. Great place for a date. Service was friendly. The food was delicious. I was disappointed that they were out of the herring, but I'll definitely be back. read more

This has been on my to-try list even when they just started construction and updating the outside. Definitely has a secretive speakeasy vibe, with no obvious sign and a painted black door and brick - when you enter, boom, super bright colors and patterns but low-lit. Such a good third date spot to impress someone! The bartender went above and beyond to make our experience great. They recommended specific cocktails and gave us the rundown on the owner and history of the bar - woman owned and curated! They even made a special zero proof cocktail for our sober sister. We peeped a chef philebrity, Joe Beddia, come to the spot as we left. Unfortunately we had just eaten, so we didn't try any of the Swedish bites, but will definitely return to try some of these. Philly definitely needed more speakeasies, so I'm so glad this space is here. read more

Ambiance was very cool! We sat upstairs & it was cozy, especially for a date night. The cheese & charcuterie board had a good variety and was tasty. We were so full from it that dinner wasn't even necessary. All drinks were great, but the Bee-DSM Coretto was our favorite hands down. read more

This was my first time here and I felt very profiled in the way that I showed up to the bar in high-end athlesiure with my friend and it was a very bad experience. The two hostess treated us like we weren't viable customers and had us wait for 10-minutes to see if the bartender has capacity to make us drinks. Upon seating, they asked to see our ids. We knew mutual people at the bar and I asked if they had checked their ids and they said no. We were given a time limit at bar seats. It was obvious they gave the bartender information as I looked up caught them looking at my friend and I. I've never felt more not welcomed in a bar in my life. I would give this 0 stars if I could. My boyfriend and I left after half an hour. The waitress was extremely condescending; she refused to look us in the eye and spoke to us in a babyish voice.
