Tasting room with some great bartenders serving some unique drinks with a variety of interesting ingredients. There is a long bar with many seats, and a bunch of tables in the back section. You can bring in outside food as well. Menu has seasonal and classic cocktails, various whiskeys, and flights. Tried the Penitent Regret - pineapple rum, spiced pear, lemon, spiced bitters, and nutmeg. Very great tasting heavy on the fruit flavors but not overly sweet. Quite refreshing. Llamita Vegana pop-up was here and I had the sampler platter- Mac, shepherd's pie, beans, kale, other - all vegan and gf. Two fellow Eliters were nice and interested to join me. The food was quality and I personally loved every bit. Llamita might be on par with Vedge for me as one of my favorite vegan places. I also had the grasshopper and an Amaro which is a banana cocktail that uses a dry banana and some spices and it works so well. I had stopped in here a little while back and really loved it, so while doing a little "tour" for my bday I asked to come here with a few friends. They now love this place too. The people working there are great and friendly- they treated us really well. The drinks are really crafted well. We really appreciated their clear ice for old fashions which they special order! The vibe and space there is really nice. Their candied bacon was DELICIOUS. Amazing drinks, terrible service. We spent over 3 hours here for only 2 rounds of drinks!! I am all for a laid back vibe, but it was a little bit ridiculous. After ordering the first round (3 drinks), one of the drinks was served and the server didn't even know what drink it was. The other two drinks then took another 20-25 minutes to be served. Second round of drinks were served to the wrong table. After realizing their mistake, it took an additional 25 minutes for all the drinks to be remade. They brought out a round of whiskey on the house, which was a nice touch but I would've rather just had a discount on the bill. Olives were delicious and all drinks were amazing, but if you come here make sure you aren't on a strict timeline. We were in the "dining room", so maybe sitting at thr bar is the way to go. read more

Four Humours is an incredible cocktail bar! My group tried about 6 different cocktails, and all were amazing. My favorite was the Clover Club, but other noteworthy ones were the Bacon Old Fashioned and the Velvet Remedy. That said, you really can't go wrong with any of these. The snacks were delicious too, and service was super friendly. The overall ambiance was fairly quiet, at least on a Sunday afternoon. Prices were super reasonable for the quality and taste. I'll definitely be planning to return the next time I'm in Philly. read more

Can Yelp let me give 6 stars just one time? We LOVED visiting Four Humours. When we arrived the bartenders helped us find a seat at the bar. We happened to be right in front of the head bartenders work area. When we went to order I got a recommendation to try, Son of Man. It was a delicious drink made with care. Throughout our time there, we had conversations with the bartender and he even let us sample an Amaro we saw on the shelves (on the house), and gave us good mixology tips because of my fiancés interest. One of the most notable things about this bar is the ingredients they use, they source local and high quality ingredients to make their drinks. I wish I lived across the street to come here all the time. The vibe of the bar was classy but fun, everyone was enjoying themselves and the bar was a super nice setup--very long and held a lot of people. read more

I was with a partner and asked a bartender for help choosing my second cocktail. He started with a generally unhelpful attitude and kept pushing (maybe because I am female?) a sweet rum coconut drink even though my questions were directed towards bourbon based cocktails. I asked him to describe a different option listed on the menu and his annoyed response, verbatim, was "I don't know....what it says." Sir, I can read. It is not obvious what a flavor profile will be like purely based off a list of fairly uncommon ingredients. Is it entitled to expect some help when ordering a $20 drink? After 5 min I had to give up as he was so unhelpful and off-putting. Their website says, "Any good barkeep or doctor must listen, and sense which elements each visitor needs--and that is how we aim to please." I do admit that reading this business maxim afterwards did provide Humour. If I return, I will avoid this loud grey long-haired pompous rude dude. The other female bartender was much more helpful although seemed fairly overworked, making up for the coworker preoccupied with his friends at the other end of the bar. Being a whiskey fan, I love to hit up local distilleries. Because they were short staffed during my visit, I wasn't able to tour the facility, so I toured the old fashioned menu, instead. Great variety of offerings, nothing too "mixologist" and a few more traditional offerings. And I always appreciate a nice ice cube! read more

A1 cocktails in the cutest little venue. Casual yet sophisticated. Local but metropolitan scale drinks. Four Humours offers the perfect ambiance. The staff is friendly and sociable. I visited on Sunday around brunch (2pm) and we didn't wait longer than 5-10 mins for a cocktail. I am newly 21, and I went here with my family for a fun night out! honestly, I don't really enjoy the taste of alcohol. but, the drinks here are amazing. I had the velvet remedy, which was the perfect sweet drink for me. we got an order of mini pickles (delicious) and the deviled eggs. it was my first time trying those, and I loved them. the vibes were great, and the staff gave us shots on the house. i really don't like shots, but these were great. We've been meaning to check out Four Humours for a while now and were going to go last Thursday when we found out last minute they only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Thankfully we hadn't left the house yet. So we went the next day with our puppy. The bar looked soooo nice inside but since we had our puppy, we could only sit outside, which was fine. Our server was great. Even though we sat outside and thought we might get neglected, this was not the case. Our server checked up on us many times but was not intrusive. He brought us all waters (yes, even a dog bowl for our puppy) soon after we were seated and a lil dog treat later for our puppy. This place is super dog friendly. Our server also recommended fantastic cocktails for our preferences, even though, I'm sure all the cocktails are delicious. And there are so many options, there is something for everyone. I would love to try all of them eventually. We had the Bacon Old Fashioned, Brown Derby, The Concussion, and Bramble, with a side of $1 cheese puffs. The cheese puffs were good but just a tad too salty. We sat outside and enjoyed our drinks till it started to get dark and windy. When I went inside to close the tab, our server asked if our puppy would like another treat, which was very thoughtful of him. Came here on Sat evening around 5:15p. Didn't have a reservation, ended up waiting like 5-10 mins for a couple bar seats. Had the time to appreciate the inside architecture which was pretty cool with the feeling like you're sitting within a whiskey barrel. When we finally sat down, we got a look at the cocktail menu and all the drinks looked great! We tried the An Apple a Day, Saffron Boulevardier, and two of their other drinks as well (one of which was a bartender's choice). I've been really looking forward to trying this place and finally got a chance to venture in for an after dinner drink. First of all, the place is super cool inside. The design and low lighting are perfect for just hanging out and enjoying a drink and conversation. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided solid service. Now, for the important part, the drinks.I tried the Boulevardier and the Brown Derby. Both of these drinks were excellent, but the Boulevardier was amazing. This place is actually a 10 and but I can't give that rating so a 5 will have to be enough. The entire place is a vibe, when you walk in it has a boozy wood smell and the bar looks like it is in a barrel. We came about 10 minutes after they opened on a Friday and got a table for four but I was told we got lucky. I wasn't sure what to drink so I asked for help and was asked a few questions before a drink was recommended (it was also my friend's favorite drink) so full trysting I ordered the recommendation. The drinks were expensive but I would have licked the glass dry it was so good. I got the Clover Club it was a gin based drink which made me hesitant but I am soooo glad I trusted my friend and the bartender it was so creamy dreamy and fruity. My husband got the Velvet Remedy and was very surprised by the drink he thought it would be too sweet but the strawberry enhanced the bourbon it did not take away from it at all. If you are in Philly and you are looking to grab a great drink this is the place to go! The owner was even encouraging us to take photos by giving us a light because not only did the drinks taste delicious they look incredible as well. read more

My friend took me to this bar that I never heard of before but I loved it. It's pretty laid back and chill. They have a lot of drink choices from flights of beer, wine and bourbons, rums and scotches. I got a flight called The Kinsey. If u like strong liquors straight you'll love it. The staff greeted us promptly and were so friendly! This place is popping' and I heard last night was even more busy because of this venue has a meet and greet event with some of the local artists that they support by allowing them to display their art and will even let patrons buy pieces off the walls. The signature cocktails, whiskey flights that let you sample some local talent, and even a few wines. The snacks are on point, especially the savory Housemade pimento cheese spread!
