Contusion, It's Showtime This is such a cool spot!! We visited for pre dinner drinks, and they have the most fascinating cocktail menu. I mean where else would you ever find a popcorn butterscotch drink?! And my fruity one was fantastic too. And they even have an option for you to ask the bartenders to whip you up something unique and special--you just tell then your preferred flavor profile and alcohol of choice! The bartenders were super friendly. Cute interior

Llamita Vegana pop-up was here and I had the sampler platter- Mac, shepherd's pie, beans, kale, other - all vegan and gf. Two fellow Eliters were nice and interested to join me. The food was quality and I personally loved every bit. Llamita might be on par with Vedge for me as one of my favorite vegan places. I also had the grasshopper and an Amaro which is a banana cocktail that uses a dry banana and some spices and it works so well. I would love it if they addd a grasshopper cookie to their grasshopper cocktail.

Second time here. This time the aging of whiskey completed and was bottled. Not only are their cocktails carefully crafted, but also detailed and delicious. their whiskey is refined and carries great flavors as well. I grabbed a bottle of their rye and love every sip.

Drinks were amazing, the bartender was wonderful he described and explained every drink with back stories and explained the flavor profiles so well. Inside of the bar was beautiful rounded ceiling, local art on walls, a sleek but warm and inviting space! Highly recommend.

Espresso martini is amazing here!! Love to stop by when I'm eating in the area! All the bartenders make sure that you not just have a drink, but LOVE your drink. They always ask for feedback and will remake drinks if it's not to your liking. AND all cocktails are crafted with love and care, highly recommend

I had stopped in here a little while back and really loved it, so while doing a little "tour" for my bday I asked to come here with a few friends. They now love this place too. The people working there are great and friendly- they treated us really well. The drinks are really crafted well. We really appreciated their clear ice for old fashions which they special order! The vibe and space there is really nice. Their candied bacon was DELICIOUS. Thanks for a really fun time and for taking the time to make delicious shots for us. :) I'll def be visiting here more when we cross the bridge to hang out. :)

Drinks were great and staff was super friendly! The architecture and design of the place is also really cool. Will definitely be returning soon!

Delicious cocktails. Good vibes. Friendly staff. Bring your own food. Gets pretty busy. That is all.

Four Humours is an incredible cocktail bar! My group tried about 6 different cocktails, and all were amazing. My favorite was the Clover Club, but other noteworthy ones were the Bacon Old Fashioned and the Velvet Remedy. That said, you really can't go wrong with any of these. The snacks were delicious too, and service was super friendly. The overall ambiance was fairly quiet, at least on a Sunday afternoon. Prices were super reasonable for the quality and taste. I'll definitely be planning to return the next time I'm in Philly.

Can Yelp let me give 6 stars just one time? We LOVED visiting Four Humours. When we arrived the bartenders helped us find a seat at the bar. We happened to be right in front of the head bartenders work area. When we went to order I got a recommendation to try, Son of Man. It was a delicious drink made with care. Throughout our time there, we had conversations with the bartender and he even let us sample an Amaro we saw on the shelves (on the house), and gave us good mixology tips because of my fiancés interest. One of the most notable things about this bar is the ingredients they use, they source local and high quality ingredients to make their drinks. I wish I lived across the street to come here all the time. The vibe of the bar was classy but fun, everyone was enjoying themselves and the bar was a super nice setup--very long and held a lot of people.

Being a whiskey fan, I love to hit up local distilleries. Because they were short staffed during my visit, I wasn't able to tour the facility, so I toured the old fashioned menu, instead. Great variety of offerings, nothing too "mixologist" and a few more traditional offerings. And I always appreciate a nice ice cube!

Super fresh cocktails! I've been on a cocktail tour lately and this is my favorite location in fishtown/ old Kensington so far. My first time here and will certainly be back!

A1 cocktails in the cutest little venue. Casual yet sophisticated. Local but metropolitan scale drinks. Four Humours offers the perfect ambiance. The staff is friendly and sociable. I visited on Sunday around brunch (2pm) and we didn't wait longer than 5-10 mins for a cocktail. I'd imagine at a busier time or day the wait may be a little longer, since there isn't a ton of people working. Look forward to frequenting this 4H often

Everything here is family style so make sure you order multiple plates. My only gripe about this place was that the plates are really small even for family style and kind of pricey so you end up ordering more. Appetizers - Crispy octopus and foccacia. So good! I'm not a huge fan of octopus but it literally just tasted like calamari with some puree on the side that tasted so good. Main dishes - Margherita pizza... my fav thing that we ate here. So much flavor and yet still so crunchy. For pastas we ordered the fustilli which was like a bowtie pasta with tomato sauce and basil. We also ordered the carbonara which was cooked suuuper al dente and was tasty; it was on the saltier side. As for the mains - flat iron steak and branzino. My siblings were literally fighting over the last bites on the steak and branzino lol. Dessert - Since it was my sister's birthday we got to try the tiramisu which was deliciously rich and creamy. Ambiance - It's sooo cute in here. Dark and ambiant, it's seriously such a vibe. Come dressed up and take lots of cute photos.

We were greeted by the bar staff who was great and helpful at giving suggestions for the menu. Started with (not pictured-- Bloody Mary and Don Giorgio drinks which were tasty for a slight hair of the dog) bomboloni which were delicious but with the rich flavor of the chocolate sauce, I'd rather have saved it for dessert. Also you get 4 and they're (IMO) too big for 2 people to share (but great for a larger group) because I was starting to get full. Entrees were the Eggs in Purgatory (perhaps an Italian shakshuka) which we ordered because the people next to us ordered it and it looked delicious--and glad we did. The dish was so flavorful and we left no crumbs. We also ordered the sweet Jawn pizza which also left us members of the clean plate club. The hot honey was just subtle enough but provided an extra level of flavor you didn't realize you needed. I'll definitely be back and look forward to trying their dinner menu!! 5/5 stars!

Huge bar, giant wall of liquor bottles, dim lighting, and a cool old-school vibe. I told the bartender that ordering a beer in a place like this felt like I was insulting him. He laughed and told me not to worry about it. The drink special was called "Naked and Famous," which honestly sounded like the perfect cocktail to order in honor of Jen. But then I spotted a dark beer on the menu that sounded too good to pass up. If you follow me, you know I'm slowly becoming a dark beer guy. I liked it a lot. The sandwich special was a cheesesteak. Sorry, I should've taken a picture of the menu. But I really enjoyed it, and for $18 it came with a mountain of seasoned fries, which feels like a bargain these days. Bomb Shell: the two people working absolutely crushed it. I don't know if they were understaffed or if Monday night got busier than expected, but they were working their tails off the entire time. Even with that, they stayed polite, friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating to the guy carrying around a mannequin. Great visit to Sassafras!

Since it was happy hour, we ordered all of the $6 Snacks and some $8 snack items. OOOK, here we go: Hot chicken slider( you only get 1 folks) very good and had the right amount of toppings 5/5 Pulled pork slider: Very flavorful, juicy, and tender: 5/5 Caesar salad: 5/5 Deviled eggs. The inside has a great cozy vibe, feeling like a small, quaint pub where you just want to settle in and stay awhile, which in fact we did. We started our meal with two incredible appetizers. First, we built an amazing cheese and ham charcuterie board, choosing 5 different cheeses that were all fantastic. We also ordered the Whipped Ricotta, which was out-of-this-world delicious. The maple syrup drizzle was a perfect touch, and it paired beautifully with the pumpkin seed puree and grilled bread. For my main course, I went with the Beer-Battered Fish & Chips. The fish was cooked absolutely perfectly, crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside, and just super tasty overall. The portion was pretty amazing too. It came served with parmesan chips, malt mayo, malt vinegar, and tartar sauce, which completed the dish perfectly. Even though I was stuffed, I couldn't resist dessert. The cinnamon beignets were light, fluffy, and the absolute perfect ending to a phenomenal meal. The other component I'll mention is there were four of us dining and every single one of us thought the food was just terrific! Not a single complaint! I should also mention the service was attentive and pleasant. Society Hill has a lot of dining options, but this place completely stands out. I'd definitely go back! Highly recommend!

Despite being over 100°, we made sure the best we could to adhere to the dress code (we all wore pants, no shorts) only thing was I *did* have sneakers on, as it's the only shoes I wear now since breaking my foot - for the additional support. I was worried I would get us banned, but they seemed to be ok! Lê came to the door after only a brief moment. Lê took our IDs and then we went through the rest of the process to be seated. He was personable and we really enjoyed talking to him. There were many drinks on the menu that sounded fantastic and we all were able to find more than one we wanted to get. The first round was delicious; we immediately began looking forward to round 2. The vibe inside was really nice. Low light, interesting things to view on the walls. A real intimate speakeasy vibe. I definitely did want to snap a picture of my drinks as they were made so well and really aesthetically pleasing, but the no photo policy is very strict. You can text or secure an Uber from inside, any phone calls must be taken/made in the vestibule/waiting area up front by the front door.
