I am giving this a one star review as it seems they have a scam going with a towing company and zero point zero customer service. Stay with me on this one as it ends up being a nightmare where we helped out someone who parked there. Upon parking there, the attendant was not so cheery and had no change. "Exact change or Credit card only" expressionist. Tried to get a smile but nope nothing. While we were parking, I noticed a very nice truck going up on a flatbed to be towed away. I said nothing to other half, but my mind whirled by wondering if it was stolen and left in the parking lot? We went on with our day. Upon returning in the late afternoon, an older couple were walking by us looking a tad lost. I heard the lady say that they had parked over there....I asked them if it was a "White Truck", in which they said "Yes". I told them about seeing it being in the morning. They were aghast and mentioned they ended up staying the night in Mexico for medical reasons. The look of doom and chitchat between them was sad while they walked away to find out what happened. When we were driving out, they were by the exit gate, looking lost. We rolled down the window and confirmed their truck was towed for staying overnight in the "day" parking lot. They said the attendant only provided them a phone number to call. They called and the tow truck company was very short with them, and said he was busy and may not be there for them get their truck. By the way the company is called "Affordable Towing" and located South Avenue 3E in Yuma. We told the couple we could help them out and take them to go get their truck out of the Impound Lot. We had to rearrange our rig to get them in our Quad Cab. About a 30 minutes later, Google brought us to a side gravel driveway that put us next to the impoundment lot, not to the entrance. The couple called saying we were right next to the lot, and the guy with Affordable Towing said he was busy and has to leave. What? After a long light we made it around the 1/2 block to the entrance. I am not sure what they paid for their vehicle to get out, but sure it was over 300, and oh yes in CASH! Anyways, the Quechan Parking lot is run by the Native American tribe that owns the casino/hotel. BTW: Ironically the couple had stayed there the night before this. I am sure they are getting kickbacks on this unethical towing of customers vehicles. Perhaps they can go about this another way? A ticket checker out at the exit gate? A double fee of long term parking per night? The lot was mostly empty and see no reasons why they had this truck towed? This is nightmare for anyone! So if you think there is the smallest possibility of not making it across the border, PARK IN LONG Term! That few extra bucks will be worth it! read more

The hotel parking lot WAS a bit confusing but we figured it out. The hotel was great except the baked beans in the restaurant were crusty. But I'm not here for that. Since there's no Yelp for Mexico- I'd like to warn everyone against going to get dental work at Marco Gonzales' office. He ruined my teeth for life. I went back to get the ones which were salvageable After him but he ruined them further. The others are messed up beyond salvaging. Save yourselves the curse he will put on you. Dental students can do 10X better than this pathetic excuse of a 'doctor'. I asked for a cleaning along with my dental work and got my enamel shaved off and peeled in less than 60 seconds and he called himself done. Not to mention I still have tartar tarter left behind but shaved off enamel along my gumline. What an evil man. This guys "work" has caused me countless sleepless nights, tears, stress and anxiety anticipating the future decay awaiting me. I wish I could sue and I'm not even that type of person and have never sued even when I could & should have. But this is different. Thus is SERIOUS! A dentist in the US confirmed this was done to my teeth and was in shock. Also wouldn't work on the crowns due to "liability" since he did such an awful job. Over the years, we have parked here many times. Until recently I believed it was pretty safe. If you have any sort of newer model car, especially a truck, i would not recommend parking here. My dads Tacoma TRD was stolen from the parking lot in plain daylight. They have no cameras, and security is basically only at the exit booths but doesn't roam the lot. They weren't much help other than telling us they didn't see anything and to call the highway patrol. read more

I was very impressed with this parking lot. At first I was a little nervous parking my Tesla there, because it was right next to the border and it seemed to be unmonitored by security. Much to my pleasant surprise, I have now parked there at least ten times and I have never once had an issue. Furthermore, it is cheaper to park there than pretty much any other parking lot I have been to. You can park there from the early morning until late at night for ONLY $6! This is insanely cheaper than any other lot in the area. Plus, the lot itself is very secure with high security fencing all the way around the lot. Additionally, once it gets dark out, the lot is EXTREMELY well lit, and it almost seems like it's daytime out because of all of the huge lights. I would highly recommend this lot to anyone and everyone! read more

With no cell service, or even a charger, I feared I might be forced to depart immediately to begin handling the mess. I decided that rest was more important and somehow managed to catch some good Zs despite worrying about the car getting towed. Turning around was impossible as there were Customs signs everywhere indicating fines for even stopping on the shoulder. So, before I knew it, I passed the entrance and within 10 seconds was on my way to Mexico driving my 2010 ride. Then I had to wait an hour in traffic just to come back. Not cool! I'm sure I'm not the first to have had this happen. There was really nothing of significance to let you know how to get into the parking lot. The Customs & Border Patrol agent let me know I "should have taken a right at the brown shack." A lot of people would have a lot less grief if they knew where to park! Other than that, the parking lot seemed decently clean and safe. The parking fee for a car was $5. But, the whole experience was definitely outweighed by the lack of signage! Its a huge parking lot for people to walk into Mexico, there is nothing remotely exciting or fantastic. Unless you know where you're going, the entrance is difficult to notice. A super money maker for the Qualchans, at $5 per car and more for larger vehicles. Maybe they could work on the signage, add a couple arrows/lines for following the maze of rows, heck, maybe even a golf cart shuttle for those that have to park in the back! read more

I recently went to Algodones and parked in Quechan Parking lot, noticing that they recently installed the machine to receive the fee for parking. I understand the parking lot is under a different entity because of the land it is located on. And in thinking its probably a way to cut down on workers as well which is a convenience for the owners; but thinking wisely its actually an inconvenience for someone of aging and disabilities. And it is known that the seniors are the ones to bring revenue to Algodones and to your parking area. I have noticed that you have made more disabled parking areas closer to the entrance and I am sure whoever suggested this thought of the seniors. Think of how difficult it might be for seniors with difficult handicaps using this machine you newly installed and how long a takes one of age to do this causing those behind to to wait and get irritated. Sadly many do not have the patience and forget they too will get there one day. I would like to thank you for your time and hope this concern will be acknowledged. I would have rated this higher but due to this situation, I can still move freely, but who knows one day i wont be able to and my outing will be more of a hassle then a joy....everyone is entitled to a day of excitement even if its dinner. read more

I have now successfully completed a weekend trip to Los Algodones and can confirm that you CAN park overnight in Quechan Tribe Parking Lot, the cost is $10.00 a day for a car, more for bigger vehicles. The catch is, you have to mention OVERNIGHT when you first come in, you then are sent to a special gated parking lot that is for overnight only. If you do not mention overnight, and later decide to stay overnight and don't come out and inform the parking authorities, I was told that is when the towing happens. Signage was large and easy to read, parking lot was not hard to find at all. What I did was search Quechan Tribe parking lot by satellite image to see exactly how it looked in real life and cut out all of the guessing. Very easy, gate attendant was nice, car was locked in, safe, secure. Next time I will not stay in Los Algodones for two days as there isn't much to do other than dental or vision, the town was pretty quiet. read more

Yup, this lot could certainly use a little bit better signage. Even after you enter the lot, there are no signs as to where to go OR to help you find the exit. I'd checked out the satellite view ahead of time so I was fairly comfortable with what I'd see once I got there. Fortunately it was a very quiet weekend day and I could creep down the road looking for the place. All in all an okay lot. $5 for a car no matter how long or short you've been there.
