I have an old orient dive watch that I really like, but that has always run slow. I finally decided to see if somebody could help it run more accurately. After going to two other jewelry stores who told me they would send it out to Repair and it would cost between $400 and $600, I decided to try Andre Fleury Swiss watch company. Andre Took the watch and told me he would look at it and get back to me in a few days. Nice when the watch expert is right there working at his desk. A few days later, I went to pick up the watch. He handed it back to me with a smile and told me it was much more accurate now. There was no charge listed on the ticket. So I said, "how much do I owe you?" Andre said "that's all right, I'll catch you next time". "it's an easy watch to regulate... It didn't take much time at all.". If this were an old friend, I might understand that... But this was strictly business. Who does that in this day and age? Apparently, Andre does. Somehow, that made me feel just a little bit better about humanity. All I can do is give him a five star review, which is richly deserved. One other quick thing: his business is basically in an upscale office building, not in a mall somewhere. The building is really nice, and parking is a breeze. The restrooms are all unlocked... This whole experience was like a pleasant experience into the past, when life was easier and kindness was much more likely to be given to a stranger. read more

Unfortunately, I was not able to obtain their services so this review is based strictly on my experience. I went here to have a battery replaced in one of my watches and the gentleman that helped me noticed right away my watch was missing some important components like the glass that covers the bezel. He recommended I contact the manufacturer and have it replaced and even provided me with the website information for the manufacturer. Instead of just letting me leave, he meticulously placed my watch in a protective bag to prevent any damage to the watch and apologized he couldn't assist me further. Based on my experience, and coming from a sales/customer service background, I really appreciated the customer service I was provided when he could've just replaced the battery to make a quick $40 and sent me on my way. Honesty and integrity. Very rare these days but greatly appreciated. I will be taking my other watches to them in the near future. read more

I heard about Andre Fleury when he came highly recommended by another well respected jeweler. I stopped in to have a bracelet sized on a rare 18k vintage Rolex. Upon meeting Sascha(sp?), Andre's son, it became clear that they have a knowledge of watches that can only come from a passion for them. I was told they would be someone I "really should know" having a vintage Rolex in my ward. After 5 minutes in their shop, it was clear why. I needed a size adjustment on the bracelet of my watch, and Sacha took care of it quickly and perfectly! He and his wife who works with him were both friendly and professional from start to finish I wanted to note that after reading a couple of reviewers who complained about not being given instant service when they showed up out of the blue...I don't expect that by default from any business aside from a fast food drive thru! To me they are the rude ones feeling entitled to whatever they want on-demand. Knowing that what I needed probably wasn't a long work item, here's what I did: I called in the morning to ask if I came in that afternoon, could it possibly be done while I waited. I got the answer about what time period that would be most likely. I showed up at that time but was still completely prepared to leave the watch if I needed to. It worked out that he was able to take the time then, which was great. This is a craftsperson doing delicate work on items of value to his customers. I would never expect (or admire) him dropping everything if he is in fact in the middle of something complicated. read more

This guy is no bueno , Andre fleury a "Swiss watch maker" didn't know what a Swiss hypertec shark watch was and I brought it to this man who instantly said your watch is a fish tank and even me a 25 year old with no watch knowledge knew that was oil in their for pressure since the watch goes under 40k feet of water lol, he didn't look it up or anything he just opened it up and pours it out claiming it water when it's oily all over his hands and the watch , I called my dad and he said oil dumby what kind of guy opens up a Swiss watch and pours out the mechanical fluid and says ya I'd just send it to the manufacturer in Switzerland, let me remind this guy where in San Rafael California, so point is he's not a experienced watch expert so stay away is the word . And for the guy that just claimed that was water while wiping oil from his hands , if you think that's good service another watch maker I called instantly said oh wow no bring it to me . I am a watch maker/jeweler's daughter. When I graduated from UC Berkeley my parents presented me with a gold Bulova Accutron watch. I have worn it almost daily for 45 years. In the past if there was a problem I sent it to the Bulova Center in New York. Once they actually replaced the movement. Now, however, Citizen in SoCal has apparently taken over Bulova repairs. My watch was returned and they said it could not be repaired. Ar first Sasha and Andre had the same bad news, but when I explained the story and the sentimental value of my want Sasha miraculously came through and found a movement to fit my watch. I brought in a Seiko and it is the one brand that they don't do service on but they immediately gave me the name of an amazing guy in San Bruno (who repaired my watch, cleaned it and sent it back in less than a week for a bargain price!). I found my old watch which I hadn't seen for years, apparently needing a battery, so I want to Andre Fleury... which says "replaced my battery in a jiffy." I ask if he could do this while I'm there, he tells me it will cost $40 and I must leave the watch for 24 hours. Fleury was less charming than a NYC subway token booth worker. I leave the watch and looking at the receipt, he has my name and phone and NOTHING else on the receipt. Not what he will do, doesn't mention the $40 charge, not if there will be additional charges, NOTHING else. I realize he is holding all the cards. He can charge me anything and he has my watch in his possession. I return 20 min later, tell him I don't want to do it and he gives me my watch back.. no problem. $40 seemed a little high to change a battery. Today I went to Macy's watch repair. I called Macy's first to ensure they were open and the lady who works there tells me they are having a 30% off sale. Since I had to be near there anyway, I walk in. She asks me if I can wait TEN MINUTES. I return in ten minutes and am looking at my receipt from Macy's watch repair. The charge was $32- LESS 30% so it cost me a TOTAL of $22.40! and included a written two year warranty. The folks at Macy's couldn't have been nicer. read more

OK...my daughter's TAG Heuer watch had what appeared to be a stripped crown...it wouldn't close all the way, leaving the watch vulnerable to water damage, etc. She went to Gold Rush Jeweler's in San Rafael and was quoted $350.00 with a minimum $50.00 charge, as they would have to outsource the repair. I live in SoCal , so I googled Swiss watch repair in the Bay Area and found Andre Fleury Swiss Watch CO.....I spoke with Sasha, who told me his shop was a long time family business and they repaired TAGs...Sasha fixed the crown *and* installed a new battery for $25.00! My dad gave me a Tag Heuer Aquaracer for my 23rd Birthday 3 years ago. A year in, I dropped it which left it not working. I sent it into the warranty company and they sent it back "repaired" three months later, still not working, so we sent it back and received it back in working order another three months later. I dropped it again this past March. I took the watch to Andre's to see how much he'd charge to repair the movement (I expected $300-500). He called back two days later, with the watch working in perfect order, and no charge at all. It just needed oil. Their work is masterful and they saved me a lot of money and months I'd spend without the watch on my wrist. They're my go-to watch people from now on and I'm grateful for their work. read more

Wish I would have read the Yelp reviews first. I was stuck in San Raf and had three high end watches needing batteries. I am so used to great service (i.e Tigges) was was put off by the heavy set - totally lacking in customer service - man. He asked me to return the next day...Okay. Returned. Watches were not ready. This was a first for me. Came back in an hour......One battery lasted 1 year...I was out of state and could not - would not return. The bad attitude, lack of professionalism and defective battery speak volumes. Will go to Tigges in SF or to Post St. per Sterling Yelp reviews. read more

It took a while, but I'm very pleased with the repair to my Tag Heuer. Looks, feels and runs like new again.

I've only used this place for very standard things like watch bracelet sizing or changes and for that they were fine. I'm not sure how much I trust them with actual watch servicing however. I would probably prefer to take it to a factory authorized service center such as the ones on Post St., in San Francisco. read more

I can give no stars as Andre did no work. We tried, he didn't. My boyfriend'sTag Heuer watch got water in it and I took it to Andre to see if he could fix it. He said "this is an emergency, I will look at it and call you back in an hour." After waiting five hours, I called him back. He said it would cost $450 to fix it. I told him I would have my boyfriend call him as this was a lot of money and he should better understand Andre's plan. My boyfriend called Andre 10 minutes later, and got a recording saying they were closed, but would call back within 24 hours. This should have been a clue. Why would it take so long to return a call regarding an "emergency"? We waited for Andre to return the call for 3 days. We were out of town and couldn't do anything about the watch, so decided to "test" Andre to see what sort of business he ran. Nothing. Finally, when we got back, I called him and told him we didn't want him to do the work and I was picking the watch up. We since took it to another watch repair place, they charged $350, did excellent work in a timely and professional manner. read more

Poor Poor customer service. I took my watch in for repair in January, after weeks of silence, I called and asked the status. Was told the parts needed we on back order and they would call the next day after checking on availiability. The following week, I called again, the same message and of course no phone call back. Did this for several months with promises of call backs. Stopped in several times with the same result. When confronted with why they did not return messages and calls, they claimed that it was difficult because they had up to 500 watches under repair at one time. The watch repair was completed in September and they offered no appologies. I will never use them again. read more

I brought some pieces in for him to evaluate and he did it for free while I was there (they weren't worth much, but had sentimental value.) He also recommended and sold us completely reasonably priced domes in which to display some old pocketwatches.
