Super weird vibes in here. Not very friendly. I understand why they are empty every single time i've walked by for the past 10 years. I just needed the prongs on my engagement ring tightened. The woman gave me attitude about not shopping locally for my ring. I shop locally and also from other vendors, it's none of her business. Sorry other vendors have better prices and are taking your business!! She also said "my jeweler won't touch that" about tightening the prongs on my ring because it has a hidden halo?! What....hidden halos are incredibly common. Whatever, I went to another jeweler 10 minutes away and had my beautiful ring fixed up perfectly in 30 minutes. There's a reason this place will be out of business within the year and it's because the only thing they had going for them was being a Rolex AD, and now even that's not enough to save them. I've been here a dozen times for miscellaneous watch work and somehow, against all laws of probability, each visit has been progressively worse than I thought was possible for a business built entirely on customer service. Highlights include: grilling me about how much I "overpaid" on the grey market, insisting I don't know the lug widths of watches in my own collection, and delivering a steady drip-feed of sarcastic comments that could power a desalination plant. The cherry on top? I'm fairly certain they discriminate against me simply because I'm not a 45-year-old Marin dad wearing Allbirds and ready to impulse-buy a pre-owned GMT II that's grossly overpriced within 30 seconds of trying it on. When I ring the buzzer, the older, wispy-haired woman at the front looks at me like I just ran over her dog, and then reversed to make sure it was really dead, before letting me in. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience in a place where you're ready to spend thousands of dollars to the benefit of the owners. The older Russian woman is quite literally the only saving grace of this establishment and if you manage to come in and talk to her she is a sweetheart and is the epitome of strong customer service. read more

Judy was so accommodating, kind, patient and incredibly knowledgeable. Her daughter also helped us and was equally helpful. We tried to be civil but Sara, as well as the manager, laughed in our faces and told us to leave. Mixed experiences with this store. They're closing so it doesn't matter. Went in years ago to have a ring sized and repaired and they were very nice and did a nice job, reasonable price. Went in a few years later with my husband and they wouldn't help us. Ignored us. A few years later, I took some things in for repairs and sizing again (even though they'd been so rude previously). The woman who helped me was friendly and helpful. Overpriced and I paid too much and the watch I paid for repairs and they didn't do all of them . But it's good they're closing. They're obviously closing under stress. They've advertised this HUGE close out sale. They specifically stated in their flier "loose diamonds". I went in, asked to see loose diamonds and they told me they don't sell loose diamonds. The lady sent me over to look at solitaires and told me I could sell the setting for gold scrap somewhere and use the diamond (I'm looking for a loose diamond to match something I have). She sent me over but didn't follow to help. The prices had big sale tags on them but the original prices were so inflated it made the same price look like a deal- if you didn't know what they should cost. They inflated their regular prices and put the items on sale for their regular prices. I asked someone to show me a ring and she reluctantly did but quickly put it away when I told her I wasn't looking to spend $12,000. She walked away quickly without asking if I wanted to see anything else (which I did) and went over to help someone else. I couldn't get anyone to help me! I walked over to the earrings and thought maybe diamond studs could work for what I'm doing . The man at the counter was helping two women buy the store and the moon up. No one looked at me or told me they'd help me soon or asked if I needed help or acknowledged me in any way. Throughout the hour I was there, I was able to pull three different people to show me one thing and then they'd walk away. After I stood waiting and waiting and waiting I thought what f am I doing ??!! Why am I trying to give these people money when clearly they don't want and don't deserve my business?! read more

I needed to get my 20-something daughter a Christmas present, so thought I would stop in to see what Julianna's Fine Jewelry had to offer. I've dropped in over the years, but never purchased anything. One of my friends gets her Rolex serviced here, and one of my other girlfriends got her gorgeous wedding ring here. I went to Julianna's two times to peruse the inventory, take pictures of different jewelry pieces that my daughter might like. Both times I had the BEST service! Inna helped me pick a lovely necklace that she believed young women would like. Chad (I believe this is his name. A real Southern gentleman) helped me on my second visit purchase the necklace, and also showed me some jewelry I may like for myself in the future. I was blown away by the excellent service I got on both visits. Both Inna and Chad were warm, helpful, didn't push, and friendly. They didn't make me feel like I was wasting their time, whether I purchased jewelry or not. My daughter LOVED her necklace. She put it on immediately after unwrapping, and hasn't taken it off since. I ordered a 97200 Glidelock bracelet for my 2004 Explorer II on Monday. The part arrived promptly on Thursday. When I entered, I was immediately greeted and attended to. While I was waiting for my bracelet to be fit, Joel and the rest of the staff were courteous enough to show me around the showroom. It is always nice to speak with others who share an apparent passion for the products they represent. The watch was sized perfectly, and I would highly recommend to anyone with an older stamped bracelet to look into the Glidelock alternative. It greatly adds the the all day wearability of the piece. My Rolex Experience For about 20 years I have been dreaming about one day owning a Rolex. At every opportunity, whether it be on vacation or shopping locally, I would gaze at Rolex's on display as I strolled by. They would elicit some emotional response I found difficult to explain. As the years went by, I came to the realization that life is short, sometimes too short. Recently I became more intent/serious about purchasing a Rolex. I began researching on-line for makes and models. While at Corte Madera Village dealing with a cell phone issue I passed Julianna's, as I have on many occasions. On my way out I decided to stop in for a look, and perhaps an inquiry or two. The atmosphere and attitude was immediately warm and welcoming. I was greeted by Glynda who was very pleasant and professional. I had specific questions about the Submariners and she was responsive and knowledgeable. There were two on display that caught my attention. Glynda gave me the opportunity to handle and try them on. She wrote up, and provided me, the information on each them before I left. Later that day I told my wife about my experience. She appeared interested, however it was later determined she was more interested than I knew. She was acutely aware of my late night internet browsing of the Rolex catalog. The following day, unbeknownst to me, she went to Julianna's, to put an end to the midnight madness (or so she thought), and surprise me with a gift she knew I would cherish for the rest of my life. Upon her arrival the staff immediately remembered me and the watches I was inquiring about. They were personable and made a personal connection with her. When she explained the occasion of the purchase as simply "he deserves it" they became even more excited about the purchase. She described her experience there as pleasant, sweet, and exciting. Even though I was not there, knowing this added to my overall experience and impression with this event. She was given the opportunity to take home the Submariner I was most interested in and was advised I could pick out another one if it was not the one I loved. I also needed to come in and complete the process of the purchase to include the paperwork, sizing and explanation/instruction/overview of the watch. We both returned the following weekend and were greeted by Bil. He was warm, inviting, and excited about our purchase. He made sure this experience was more of an event and milestone rather than just a purchase. He took the opportunity to show us other Submariners, on chance I preferred another one (while taking into consideration the current pandemic by ensuring safety protocols were followed, to include cleaning/sanitizing each watch before/after handling.). I appreciated that he used his own watch as a training tool when explaining the time setting, application and adjusting the bracelet, and let me use it also before manipulating my new watch. He ensured I knew everything I needed to know about handling, cleaning and caring for my Submariner. Bil also made sure the watch was fit perfectly to my wrist and made careful work of removing a single link. To commemorate the event he even took photographs! Overall Bil made the experience very special for me and my wife. I had planned on visiting a larger Rolex retailer thinking I would be given a better experience. However, I am delighted I came to Julianna's. While it is not the largest Rolex retailer, I feel the overall experience could not have been better. The attention to every detail was the pivotal component to my positive experience. Even though this was my first purchase there, I felt like a longtime customer with a personal relationship with everyone and would go so far to describe the experience as pampered. I heard quite a bit of bad reputation about this store. However, since I live nearby and decided to give it a try. I called the place to see if she can help to adjust my watch bracelet. She told me she would charge $25 and I could come by. We came to the store and was told to wait. 25 minutes after she told us to come back another day. I will never go back to this store again. I ended up bring my watch to another authorized Rolex dealer in San Mateo. Oh boy, the experience was totally different. At San Maeto store, They were super nice and friendly. They offered water, coffee or tea soon after I walked in. They adjusted my watch without charging me a dime. read more

This was a really great experience. My dad's Rolex had a problem with the clasp closing. I looked around online for Rolex store nearby to replace the band. However a very nice and professional woman told me on the phone that we should bring it in and they might be able to fix it. As if that wasn't nice enough, when my dad and I went in they tested the watch to see if it needed to be serviced. Since it was only one second off, it didn't and they were very honest about that, saving us hundreds of dollars. They also do very nice custom jewelry. If you're looking for a high quality full service jeweler with honest and personable customer service, I would visit here first. Some people left some comments about the door having an issue which concerned me. To take away the mystery, you simply press a button and the door opens for you. It probably has to do with security which you would be thankful for if your jewelry was being made there. read more

What a wonderful experience with two delightful women in a lovely shop. Here's how I really notice who cares about their customers; going in for a minor thing where they routinely make major sales. I needed repair; broke the little post thing that attaches the band to my watch, it's Sunday so I figured I'd have to drop it off, pick it up during the week and pay 30 or 50 bucks (hey, it's Marin and I have no idea what that costs). I strolled in, the Rolex expert was at her bench (Judy the owner) she nodded a sagely, whipped out her fancy tools, snapped on the magnifying eyeglass visor and went to work. A few minutes later, with a cheery smile, she handed me my favorite watch and asked me for $5. :) The average sale in that shop could be $5,000 and yet I was treated like a rockstar :) I'm not in the market today, but when I am - they get my business. I stopped by today to check out Julianna's for the first time... and am so grateful that I did! I was greeted by a gentleman named Jason, who ended up being great. He really took his time to show me around, figure out what I wanted, and educate me the history of this family owned business and the craziness of the current Rolex professional watch market. Jason was super cool during our time together... I told him I was ready for something different after 17 years of my current watch. He brought out two black-faced stainless steel Submariners, one vintage, circa 1978, and the other which was only a year old. I ended up walking out with the latter (professionally fitted), a tightened up clasp on my old watch, and a new favorite Jeweler. An older lady with short blond hair that was working there started rolling her eyes and making faces only because I didn't entered the store fast enough while she "buzzed" me in. I found it outrageous and disrespectful. I got in and she almost made me feel that was such a burden to help me, she showed me 2 watches in such a disgust... I never felt so uncomfortable into a store. I mean if you don't have any costumer service skills and hate your job why are you there? I refuse to believe that a business owner will act like this. So if she is an employee, dear owner she is the worst employee you could have. That kind of attitude will make you loose money, clients and reputation. They informed me that the watch I was searching for would be incredibly difficult to find, but were more than happy to help me search. After nearly a year of waiting, Caitlyn informed me that my No-Date Submariner had finally arrived. Just had the battery of my watch be done. They won't give you the watch on the same day. I was asked to return the following day. I thought I could wait for it. Unfortunately, I live an hour away so it was a mistake for me to let them do it. I just went there because my watch was Longines so I wanted a jewelry store to do it for me. I didn't understand why they can't change the battery right there and then. I won't go back there for the watch battery because of the commute. read more

Was passing through the mall one afternoon and saw that Julianna's is a Tissot watch dealer. I had been looking for a Tissot V8 chronograph $475) and despite being able to get a great price online, I saw a sign that said that they were having a "Staying in Business" sale with up to 40% off. I figured that perhaps I could see the V8 and maybe even get a decent deal while buying somewhat local. The two saleswomen, one of whom may have been the owner, were busy with other customers, including a man whose wife was getting him a Rolex ($6000+). I saw that they did not have the V8 in the display but they did have some others which I wanted to see. I was not acknowledged upon entering the store and for quite some time, tried, uncomfortably, to look busy. As I was thumbing through a book on the counter, I couldn't help but overhear the Rolex conversation. Not impressive. Clearly the couple buying it had no clue as to what they were buying. What was worse is that the sales woman was not making an effort to educate them but was instead very terse about this and that, kind of like "this ain't burger king and you can't have it your way." I'm sorry but I wouldn't have put up with that kind of treatment. I won't bore you with details but she even had some of her Rolex facts screwed up as well. Not acceptable, but hey, not my business either. After about 15 minutes (should have walked ) the other woman walked over towards me (she was getting something from a nearby case). Not realizing that she wasn't done with her other customer, I asked if I could see the Tissot case. I got a very short "you're going to have to wait". What? Excuse me? Are you talking to your child or a customer? Again, should have walked out and not come back. I did walk out a bit later, to go buy something at another store. Against my better judgment, I went back in to Julianna's (I really wanted to see one of those Tissot's). The same customers were still in there. the woman who had acknowledged me earlier asked the Rolex peddler to help me. They reply was a long and deep sigh and a barked "He's going to have to wait!" Like I was being a nuisance!? Like i was a pest. I politely wished them "good luck staying in business" and said that I would take my business to somewhere not quite so rude, like the internet. At that point I would have bought from Tourneau (see previous review). Why would anyone put up with that? Why did I go back in? No idea. I know I was wearing jeans, t-shirt and Converse and only ready to spend a few hundred bucks, but crikey! Maybe they would have been nicer to me had they seen the vintage Rolex on my wrist. I'm all for supporting local business but not really impressed with wholesale rudeness. read more
