I called to have them replace a bath tub faucet nothing complicated take 1 out and put the exact same one in. 3 pipes, cold line hot line and shower head just take out and replace. Scheduling called me shortly after but informed me they couldn't make it till Thursday Only to call me Thursday morning to offer me $50 to reschedule my appointment. Scheduling a basic service as faucet installation with this company or any small service at all is not recommended. Hind sight is 20-20 and I will taking my business elsewhere. I called a week in advance for a faucet replacement and was advised that based on their current workload, someone could be available the next week so then I agreed to a window of time (10am-ish) for a phone call for when a technician could be available. I was then was advised it would be late afternoon and then again on the same call, advised "All of our techs are running behind today so we'll give you a call back later this afternoon when they are This business does base their scheduling on urgency of repairs needed, which is fine for urgent repairs, but will leave your small jobs waiting forever. With that many people servicing that large of an area, you would think appointments could still be made. I guess not. IYKYK 4:00pm update: after a few calls interrupting my work day advising me a technician is "abour an hour away" each time, I am getting a faucet replacement! For about $600.00 with a 2-year warranty on the parts that I am not providing. I did provide the faucet myself. There is an approximate $90 estimation fee they will charge for this business to come and look at any problem even if they don't find one, so look out for that. I was also offered to get text messages to interrupt me throughout my day nstead of phone calls. Also, I did speak with someone who offered me a discount at first but that was before the technician came here and quoted me the work. I'm not sure where that discount went. read more

4 years ago I needed a new heat furnace and AC. paid over $15,000. Heat has never worked since installed. every single winter they come out and give me a different reason. Including: the thermostat wasn't right x3 until i bought a $700 one from them, still didn't work ! The wind blows too hard against my house for which they cut a hole in the side of my house, and last year... water got where it shouldn't have. So here I am winter number 4 freezing with no heat. when I called them Sunday AM they told me someone would call me back Monday. It was 8 degrees outside this morning. And I pay the monthly subscription fee that is supposed to get me priority scheduling and some sort of yearly checks on eqpt. I've never gotten anything out of the fee I paid. Stay away from these scammers. I'm out $15,000 and freezing in a snowstorm. If I owned this place I would be utterly embarrassed. read more

I had my Boiler serviced they arrived promptly and were polite and clean thats the good and the one star you see.After that they ripped me off and things that worked before they came suddenly stopped working,each time it was these things happen on old systems. Then i got another local plumber in to look at what they did and he said there was nothing broken but for some reason a wire was jammed behind my aqua stat preventing it from closing we told him the prices we paid for items replaced and well we got ripped off big time. This is a predatory company that in my opinion exists to only to get in your door to rob you. They are like the companies you hear that rob old ladies for thousands of dollars. They quoted us $3,700 to fix our hot water heater issue. We called another plumber that fixed it on spot for $100. I spoke to Mary about this and asked why would you charge $2000 if its only a $100 job. This review is about awareness to future customers. This is about weighing out quality of work vs cost. Andreas provides very good customer service and their technicians are well trained, courteous, knowledgeable and respectful when they come to your home. I have been with this company for years now and have endured their "job pricing" as it is known in the industry. This is where it does not matter the cost of a part and the time spent. There is a fixed price for the job being performed. On my recent service call in November, I looked up the part that was being replaced; less than 100.00 which I confirmed with a family member in the business who lives out of state. The diagnosis and time to install, under 2 hrs. My bill was over 1000.00! That bill should have been no more than 1/2 that amount or less. Yes, I am grateful the repair was made and professionally done. Yes, I understand business and overhead but I am not grateful that I am in a lower income area and being gouged. They need to rethink their pricing and how they treat their local people who have supported them; remember where you come from! There are other reputable companies in the area who do good work at fair prices who I will now support. read more

I just learned that I have been getting ripped off by this place for the past few years. When I moved to PA fro NY I needed an HVAC company to service my furnace. Like a fool, I went with the one I saw the most advertising for. Well, this week one of my wife's new friends, who happens to be married to an HVAC guy, who has run a business in this area for almost 25 years, basically told me I have been getting ripped off. So I met with her husband and he went over the last few repairs/part replacement bills that I paid Andreas for and boy was I surprised. A few weeks ago they were here and told me I should really replace two parts or my furnace could stop working. I believe in preventative maintenance so I had them replace the parts. Well, over $700 and only 15 minutes later the parts were replaced. My new guy pulled up the parts online and showed me that they can be purchased for under $25 total and showed me that his charges would have been in line with most guys the area and it was only about $250. We then went over some of the other past bills I have paid and realized I have wasted almost $2000. I feel like a fool. This place prides itself on courteous, on time service, which is great. But they don't tell you that as soon as you let them into your house they become predators who will try to scare you into replacing things that really don't need to be replaced and overcharge you in the process. He brought up a couple of good points. Ask yourself why this company has such high turnover with their employees, who is paying for all of the advertising they do and who is paying for all of the new trucks you see running around the area. The customers are paying and these young guys who work for them can't handle the high pressure sales they have to con their customers into. Buyer beware! read more

Ended up with a $730 bill for 30 minutes work. Parts were under $50. They showed up & asked a bunch of questions that made me think the simple repair to my sink (hooking up the plumbing parts beneath it that I provided) was a more complicated job than it was. They charged me $966.00! I was a total idiot for agreeing to the price but I was desperate to have my kitchen sink back -- oh, and like I said, the guy made the job seem more complicated than it was. Technician is thorough and did a good job. After that point, not happy! I asked their office for a detailed bill of materials and labor. I asked that because the job cost was a little over $800. The materials was a cover for the exhaust outside from laundry room dryer ($6. in Lowe's) The job took at most 2 hours, so the labor charge was $400 an hour. When the technician was at my home, I let him know that the labor was extremely high and asked if they charged $400 an hour to install a kitchen faucet. His answer was "more." After the job, their office called as is normal, to ask if I was satisfied. I told her the work was done satisfactory but the cost for labor was high. Again I asked for a detailed bill, she told me they don't provide that. I wonder why! Bottom line is the same as others have said, their service is beyond expensive. It's outrageous! read more

When we reviewed the estimate that was given, I was shocked to say the least! Three thousand above everyone else. 1)They say they do impeccable service, ok they should all strive for that. 2) Their warranty on parts and labor double competitors, well they just are not. extortion. plain extortion. $4,100 to put a new well pump in. only 100 ft down. 88 to diagnose when already was diagnosed and traced to the pump. having a hard time getting an itemized receipt. actually have to follow up to get any receipt. the excuse is well its an emergency call. nope said there was no hurry and it wasnt off hours. could have pulled the pump if i had an extra set of hands. actually did help pull the pump waiting for his helper because i had the T handle made up to pull it from 20 yrs before having had a friend come over. he 70 now so wasnt calling him. they are quick if thats all that matters to you. read more

First time I used them 'after hours' for a basement flood situation at 12 midnight--i had to argue with the guy because he kept saying he didn't think it was an emergency... What? When he called back ' on a recorded line' he was like a different person. But when he came to the house he gave a stupid estimate of $10K Next... no hot water... I have paying guests in my home... I call during the day... I can't afford to wait so... I will pay the $200 for the 'daytime' housecall... But guess what... the answering service never calls me back or Andreas never calls me back. What is wrong with service providers in this area? Bad service and everyone seems to drink the koolaid? I do not get it... very confusing, annoying, costly, time consuming and stupid. read more

Loved them showed up wearing a mask and foot booties. We had a ductless a/c heat pump with 2 heads put in one upstairs and one downstairs. Was extremely disappointed throughout the process. Positives: Friendly, warm, and helpful office staff. Owners are friendly and helpful. Negatives: Unattentive/unresponsive. Overpriced. Poor quality of workmanship. Quoted a two day renovation, and after the fourth day, we had to call the owners out to do a quality check because we weren't satisfied. Much re-work was required, and an additional three days were also needed. Overall, the 7 days of work took three weeks and resulted in average quality. Also, during the process of my renovation, my hot water heater quit. I was quoted over 900 dollars. (The hot water heater in the quote was 500ish, so that means 400ish dollars for an hour of labor?!) I did it myself instead. It's really too bad...if the job had gone even somewhat smoothly, I would have hired them to come back and do a whole-house ductless AC system. I wish it weren't the case, but if I had it to do over again, I would go elsewhere. read more

thought they were a reliable co. until we had a problem with our well pump which they replaced with a new tee pipe and switch. their bill clearly states at the bottom 5 yr warranty on parts and labor for NEW INSTALLATIONS. well when i need them they told me it was a boiler problem and not a new installation it was a repair. i spent 868.75 for a new well tank/tee and switch never complained about the price they got their money at the end of the job, only to see the pump they sold to me at a store for $200. so just beware they DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK OR THEIR WARRANTIES. After 3 phone calls all of which was a different warranty explanation none of which was to our favor we offered to buy the part ourselves just come and install it, well needless to say i am sitting here with no running water or bathroom usage. so off to court we go. thanks andreas... go to another plumber read more

We had several estimates done for a new AC unit and water treatment system. Most other estimates were close, but the estimator was pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful with information. He was about to leave the company (retire) but backed them 100%, I thought that spoke volumes. Jason, the installation lead was as pleasant and kept me informed of progress along the way. The fact that Andreas had in-house, easy to use, financing was also very helpful. We are 3 months into our new water system and AC and are very happy with the work done and the equipment installed (Trane). I will use Andreas again. read more

Prices extraordinary for service completed. Tech even said prices were higher than other places around but they made it sound that their repair work was far superior. Neglected to have toilet fixed, quoted nearly $150, fixed it myself for $7.00 (part from home depot) and 15 minutes labor. Tech made it sound like it was a massive repair that had to be done (just a float valve that you can learn to do on the internet in 2 minutes). $88 fee to just come out is also higher than what other's are charging. Unless you like feeling ripped off, I'd suggest looking for an independent plumber who's more reasonably priced. I would not use again. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Recently had them quote a new furnace system, since I (used) them to clean my furnace for the last few years. The quote took several weeks, then when I received the quote, the (used car salesman) didn't even quote what I asked for, not to mention how the quote was barely visible, (2-point font). I was shocked to see the price I was quoted, since I have a mechanical background. I ended up getting a new furnace for (HALF) the amount Andreas quoted. I have had Andreas plumbing for a number of years. Customer service was great. Technicians seemed to have knowledge of each problem we have ever had. Had complete faith in them in the past however................... requested an estimate for a plumbing problem to replace an unit. Their quote I thought was exorbitant. Their estimates are non itemized. ( Cost of unit, installation fee etc.) With technology today, you can go online and see the cost frame of heaters, AC etc. Please do your homework prior to committing to them! Had three other estimates from other plumbing companies come in. I am comparing apples to apples here! The estimates with installation from the outside plumbing companies were THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS LESS!!! .......ALL THREE!!!! I was astonished and so disappointed in a company that I felt very comfortable with! Beware!!!! Overcharging me on the unit (when I demanded what the cost was going to be for me and charging me one thousand dollars an hour for installation. The other three plumbers explained that it was a three to four hour job max. Criminal quote! I personally asked the representative when he called me if three thousand dollars was the cost for installation. With a pause he said yes!!! Right from the horse's mouth! I am more than willing to pay the going high rate for plumbers but not one thousand dollars an hour! The unit.............. REPLACE a tankless water heater! Their quote...............just shy of 6,000 dollars! The most estimate I received from the other plumbers.......same type of unit etc, was slightly over 3,000 dollars. That was the highest of the three outsided estimates!!!! I was a very loyal customer for Andreas plumbing! Shame, shame on them! Trust me, this rating hurts me to write it! Still upset! read more

I needed a whole water system installed at my home. They came to my home right away and found that my water system was over 20 years old and needed to be replaced. Steve then came and quoted us a price and then help us find financing for the project. A few days later they came and installed it. The techs were very nice and informed us of everything they were doing. They put drop cloths down so no mud or water stained the carpets. They were friendly and courteous. Steve dropped in a few times to make sure everything was going well. A week later he then came to check my water to make sure everything was fine. This company has done work for me in the past and they were always professional. I would highly recommend Andreas Plumbing because of their outstanding work ethics. read more
