a piece of pizza and a bowl of tomato sauce

I had the best Italian food in town! The meat lover's calzone, veal parmigiana, and calamari were all terrific. I enjoyed it so much that this will be my go-to place for Italian food. The marinara sauce was the best I have ever had, and the complimentary bread was hot and baked to perfection. Our party of 25 people was seated in the outdoor area, which had heaters, and it turned out to be amazing. Everyone had a great time, and there were praises all around for the food, staff, and ambiance. The service was efficient and prompt. I would like to thank Jen for her excellent service. I highly recommend this place to all fellow Yelpers. Do check them out!

This long time locally owned Italian eatery is popular with locals for its good food, generous portions, good prices, quick service and multi seating options. The antipasta is HUGE and tasty. The combination platter has good portions of Italian favorites. Many people enjoy the pizza which is made fresh as ordered. The menu is extensive with much to choose from. I have never had any problems here with anything. It is just consistently good food served up fresh.

    Yummy!! Andrea's is the best!!

The food was delicious. It was cooked to order and came out without delay. I try something different every time I come here and they never disappoint. Also the atmosphere is nice - not loud and chaotic.

    Antipasto salad

I love a good salad so in my quest to find one, I remembered this place because it's attached to the spa I go to. I've always wanted to try it out. So looking at pics I decided on the antipasto, a large. I called it in and when I went to pick up my order she handed me a heavy bag. I thought, this must be the wrong order, it's too heavy for a salad. So I got to my car and opened the container and boy oh boy! The container was filled to the MAX with salad. It must have weighed at least 2-3 lbs. I rushed home and dived right in. The Italian dressing was ok, could have had more flavor but I was happy regardless. A few days later I went back and ordered the same salad except with balsamic vinegar which didn't have a lot of oomph to me so instead I used my handy dandy Olive Garden dressing. I will continue to get this salad and just figure out the best dressing to order with it. This salad could be enough for 2 people, for $15.50 that's not bad.

The staff even made some recommendations for my significant other who doesn't enjoy wine, but does enjoy bourbon. Check them out if you're looking for a fun twist on a typical date night! I stopped by on a rainy day around 1PM, so it was super quiet (which I loved). Our waitress was a gem. She let us try a few wine options before we decided what we wanted to order. I ordered a glass of rosé and the Greek board, and both hit the spot. The rosé was crisp and refreshing, which was perfect for a humid day. I paired it with the Greek board, which had all the Mediterranean favorites. A generous amount of pita, olives, hummus, feta and grapes! I'm a sucker for a good Med plate. Whether you're looking to have a girls day, a casual date, find a new spot to work from, or just pop in for a light lunch and glass of wine, Tinto is the spot. I look forward to visiting the VB location!

The Sharpie Tattoo--with bacon, egg and maple--sounds a little crazy but absolutely works. We ate outside at a picnic table, and everyone helping us was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Great casual vibe, good food and drinks, and a really fun little area to explore. Definitely one of our better finds in Newport News.

The food, as it should be is the star of the show. I ordered the Duck, which was the best duck I've had at a restaurant in a very long time. Some places can over cook it in an attempt to get that crispy skin, but here it was cooked to perfection. The skin was crispy, meat flavorful and juicy, and not overly greasy. The sweet potato puree was excellent and elevated the meal. The drinks menu was really good. Our friends are Wine Connessiuers and we're impressed with the selection. Not a Connessiuer myself, though I do enjoy a nice red every now and then, our selection was really good. Circa 1918 is a bit of a trip for us, but I'm sure we will be back and I'd recommend this place to anyone in the Newport News area.

This has been high on my "want to try" for a long time and finally saw an opportunity with an available reservation, went for it and am so happy I did. I dined solo, which I rarely do, but this was the perfect place for it. It was apparent that most people dining were regulars. The owner was chatting with just about everyone and diners were popping over to other tables to say hello, as well. Felt like a very small town. Service was perfect - not overbearing, but perfectly timed for a good flow throughout dinner. Their menu changes often, so some of the items I loved, may not be available - but it does seem like their fried oysters are a mainstay and holy moly, they were delicious. I had one cocktail - I believe it was called Watermelon Sugar. It had vodka, aperol and fresh watermelon. Refreshing and smooth. I tried two apps: the fried oysters and the bao buns. Both were fantastic. Perfectly prepared, so much flavor. I think that next time, I would stick to the appetizer section and try many rather than getting an entree. I got the scallops, which were delicious, but the apps wow-ed me more. Prices aren't low, but you get what you pay for - really high quality dishes with lots of thought and execution embedded. I don't say this lightly - this has been added to my top 10 list in all of Hampton Roads!

They're located right next to one of our favorite spots Amirtha Curry. They're only open past 5pm. Let's see how things went When we walked inside, one of the staff asked if we had a reservation. Turns out the place is small with probably 11-12 tables in total. But luckily, a table was available and we were able to be seated. The decor inside was spotless and a bar is in the middle. The next time we dine in, I'll be sire to take photos when I get the chance. After looking over the menu for a few minutes, we decided to order a Denbigh pizza, one of their red sauce items. The toppings were pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. Since they were out of sausage, we chose ham as the substitute. Very good stuff. The pizza was cooked perfectly and there were plenty of toppings before our very eyes. We ended up taking half of the pie home where it was still delicious when warmed up. There you have it. We have both found a hidden gem in our neck of the woods. Yoi know we'll be back soon :)
