I bit onto one hard and the pain was so excruciating, I held my jaw in tears and couldn't speak for a few moments. My brother then said he felt something hard in his pasta dish as well. Then he fished out the sharp edged piece of bone. Needless to say, he and I did not eat the rest of our dinner. Service - On the way home from dinner I stopped in to ask for the manager and tell her what happened. I had the uneaten pasta & bone in a baggie. She said, it must be "just chicken" that's the way we get it. I asked her to examine the piece of bone, hard as a rock. I repeated to her the extreme pain I had been & was still in 15 minutes later. I would not reccomend the kids ravioli as it was only 3 and does not come with a side. Only chicken tenders come with a fries. Their kids spaghetti is a decent portion though. We were headed up 17 for an adventure on a Saturday afternoon and decided to stop in for lunch. It's conveniently located and the Yelp reviews weren't bad, so why not? I decided to go with pasta which came with a side salad to start. The salad was a nice size for a side salad and super fresh. I loved that they put a whole plum tomato (quartered) on it. The blue cheese dressing was pretty standard, but had some nice chunks of blue cheese. The garlic knots and bread were terrific! The knots themselves are the perfect bite size and there was lots of garlic butter in the bottom to dip. My angel hair pasta with garlic and oil was well done, with perfectly al dente pasta and a good amount of oil. I was a little concerned about what looked like raw garlic in the oil, but it was soft and mild, so obviously not raw. What would have kicked this up a notch would be roasted garlic and fresh grated Parmesan (as in most Italian places like this, they only had the shaker of stuff on the table). Hubby had the cheesesteak sub, which was good, but nothing spectacular. He was hoping for a little more authenticity, since he read on the menu that the owners owned restaurants in Philly. We each had a slice of cheese pizza, because how else can you rate a small Italian place? They were a bIt underwhelming. The crust was nice and thin and there was not an over abundance of sauce (which I prefer), but it was lackluster. To be fair, we only ordered by the slice (which is premade and reheated). I'm sure a fresh made pie is much better. The kid loved his spaghetti with meat sauce on the side. In fact he said it was one of the best sauces he's had in awhile with the exception of mine (but he's sucking up since he's recently been grounded). Went here to order food cause not many other places were open at this moment. The drive through was perfect for paying and getting food with limited amount of human contact. The food was great. We live in Gloucester so it turned cold before it got home, but even after being throw back into our oven it came out perfect. I ate 3 pieces of pizza and I haven't done that in years. Only issue? The up charging. We ordered a 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni pizza. If you look at their menu you will see that the normal price of just for a cheese pizza and add addition add ons cost, at the least, $1 each. So when ordering a 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni and having to pay $1.75 I would expect either $1.75 worth of pepperoni on one side, or a small drop in price. Not much, just take it down to $1. And I also asked for a small thing of oil and vinegar on the side to dip my bread into. I got this much larger cup that looks like it is made to hold tomato sauce for spaghetti and got charged extra for it. I just wanted some thing big enough to dip two pizza crusts in, like the small cups they put ketchup or ranch dressing in at other places. I believe it was an extra $2. I never got handed a receipt. A $14 pizza came out to be about $20. The pizza is GREAT! The prices not so wonderful if you look to see how it is all added up. read more

My typical is their Buffalo chicken wrap with their homemade hot sauce! So good! We've eaten here a few times and honestly everything we've had has been very good. Something awful has happened to my favorite restaurant. We used to order takeout at least once a week- sometimes several times a week when we were working late but the past few orders have tasted horrible. The hamburgers don't taste like beef. Reluctantly and in a bind, we placed an order last night for two dinners of lasagna and parmigiana and we only took two bites and threw both dinners away. The truth is, the food tasted like it was spoiled and literally smelled rancid and stunk and the food was unappetizing to look at. I think they are using rancid fats/oils, are not cleaning their equipment properly and or using expired foods. The pasta sauce was watery and had no seasoning- just watery tomato sauce with no salt or pepper, no garlic, no nothing. The bread was burned black and tasted horrible. Even worse, it was nothing more than charred burned pizza crust cut into wedges- too hard to even tear a piece from or bite into. Maybe they have a new chef/cook? Maybe they don't have one? Normally I wouldn't complain because I know every business has it's ups and downs and ' stuff' happens but we've been dealing with Vinny's inferior food quality for a few months now and it is truly concerning and unacceptable and I'm going to request a refund. read more

Ordered an Italian hoagie was given what I was told by the server oil and vinegar to add to my sandwich. I added the said oil and vinegar and as I started to realize it was SPICY. I didn't eat it but gave it to my husband who like spicy food. I then asked what exactly was in the concoction and the owners daughter/acting manager said black pepper. Vinny's has two locations on 17, one towards the NN side on J Clyde and this one I am reviewing about towards the Tabb/Grafton side. Its a simple restaurant that serves your usual soft drinks but they also have a small selection of beer too. I've only been here for the pizza but they sell your standard Pasta stuff too like lasagna, zitti and parmesans. From the outside this place doesn't look like much, its kinda ugly really but they food is so worth it. The inside gets better and looks like a typical pizza joint with booths and tables. The bathrooms are solitary but clean. I like how they have the pizza's on a glass display for quick by the slice sales. I've been here quite a few times for pizza parties and dine in and the food has always been great. My favorite pizza by far is the white pizza with fried eggplants...the sauce is so creamy and rich. I've also ordered their vegetarian pizza with the regular marinara sauce and thats good too. I really like how the dough tastes and the marinara sauce doesn't have that weird metallic tastes like some chains do. The veggie selection is good and they also offer your standard meat fare as toppings too. I prefer take out because it seems faster and I can plan accordingly. Theres also a drive through so once you order you can pick it up without going inside. They do a LE ( law enforcement) discount if you're in uniform so I'm sure they probably do military as well. Dining in is alright, kinda take a little bit too long for me though. Overall, forget Dominos, Chanello's and dare I say zPizza and come here. I like to patronize local businesses especially this year. I understand it's tough to provide a precise time to pick up a take out order. I ordered pizzas and a Stromboli and a salad and 1 dessert and was told to arrive in 40 minutes. The drive through was slammed when I arrived. By the time I made it to the window my order pick up time was overdue by 11 minutes. I was told to wait in my car in the parking lot. It's now 50 minutes since my takeout order was supposed to be ready and they brought it out. It's cold and my dessert is missing. I'd rather you tell me that the order won't be ready until 1.5 hours.
