I usually don't go out on my way to do reviews like this but I find this office to be very concerning and I want to share my experience. At my visit, I was told that I had six cavities that all required prompt treatment. (This was very surprising, as I had been seen at this same office about six months prior with nothing needing even preventative treatment.) At the time, I was also about two weeks into my new Invisalign treatment, and I knew that cavities and fillings can sometimes affect how trays fit or progress (my orthodontist later explained this likely wouldn't have been an issue in my case, but that was not something I knew at the time). Because of that, I wanted to better understand how urgent the situation actually was before moving forward. I sent several polite and very reasonable emails asking about my options, including whether more conservative approaches like prescription fluoride/remineralization were appropriate. It took 3 emails over several weeks to get any response. When I finally did, NONE of my questions were answered. Instead, the doctor completely skipped over them and simply stated that my orthodontist had approved the treatment. Because my orthodontist's input addressed one of my concerns (how this would affect my Invisalign), I scheduled the first appointment. However, it never sat right with me that my questions had been ignored. After speaking further with my orthodontist, who also reached out to this office, I was advised to get a second opinion. Within hours of that, I received an email from the office essentially telling me to go elsewhere if I had concerns. I responded reiterating my concerns and requested my records. Once again, there was no response. After multiple follow-ups, my records were sent via FedEx with no prior communication. No heads up, no tracking, and no notice that a signature would be required. If this was the first time I found them subpar, I would simply call it a communication or operations problem but since it felt like the 247th, let's call it what it was... intentional, petty, embarrassing. While waiting for these records, I saw a new dentist for a second opinion. They performed a thorough exam, explained everything clearly, and did not find any active cavities requiring fillings. Instead, they recommended preventative care and monitoring, the exact option I had originally asked this office about but never received a response on. The difference in professionalism, transparency, and overall care was significant. When I finally caught FedEx at my door, I received both my records and a formal letter from Dr. Andreea dismissing me as a patient. Looking back, this experience also made me question the quality of care I received here previously. I had several cavities filled over time (prior to coming here, I had maybe one or two in my entire life), and I even paid for a "deep cleaning" that felt no different than a standard cleaning. The cleanings in general felt subpar, and at the time I brushed it off but in hindsight, it raises concerns. Being dismissed for asking basic, reasonable questions about your own treatment is a major red flag. Patients should be able to understand their options and participate in decisions about their care. This office, however, seemed to prefer compliance over informed consent. Maintaining the integrity of your natural teeth is important, and unnecessary dental work is unfortunately not uncommon, which is exactly why patients ask questions and seek second opinions. This experience has left me with serious concerns about whether prior treatment I received here was even necessary. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major treatment from this office. Ive learned that when decay is still in the enamel and hasn't progressed into the dentin, some cases can be managed conservatively rather than jumping straight to fillings, which is exactly why I was asking questions. You should ask your dentist too! If they refuse to answer, fire them! read more

Absolutely terrible dentist office. Not only do they never have appointments, but when you do get an appointment and verify your insurance, you can show up and they will still suddenly say that they should've checked earlier because they don't take your insurance. Absolute waste of time. read more

This review is for Dr. Moisiuc and the entire staff. Was super nervous to get a new bridge since that was the only side of my mouth I could eat on. Not only did it come out perfect in shape and color, but my bite is even better than it was before. The entire staff from Jen at the front desk to all the assistants are so great and welcoming. I am not one to typically write bad reviews but this time I feel compelled to do so. I was a loyal customer and always showed up on time. When I started having issues with my wisdom teeth, I scheduled an appointment for the surgery twice and had to cancel both times. The first time was because it was expensive, and I couldn't afford it at the time. It's not like everyone has $2500 in their pockets every day (with insurance). The second time I cancelled was because of a scheduling issue. When I had to cancel the second time the receptionist got very rude over the phone and told me that I should "probably find another doctor since this is the second time I'm cancelling". When I asked what their schedule looked like a month or two in advance, she got very short and snippy with me again and told me how she doesn't have the doctor's schedule that far in advance, in a very irritated tone.   Both times when I scheduled the appointments in person, the receptionist told me how she would hold the spot for me and call me back in a few days to confirm if we were good to go or if that time wasn't going to work for them and we would have to reschedule. I was completely fine with that, however, both times, I never got a call, so I didn't even know if that appointment slot was mine or not. This was a mild annoyance, but something I could look over. Not anymore now that I've been spoken to that way.   I was being talked down to as if I was a child. I am a firm believer in 'it's not what you say, it's how you say it', but the tone of her voice was extremely snippy and disrespectful. I talk on the phone all day for work myself and I would never speak to a customer the way I was spoken to. The doctors are great, but no paying customer, especially one that is about to pay $2500, should be spoken to that way read more

I normally hate the dentist but I love coming here. The receptionist Jen is super welcoming and friendly. I came in today for a post op check up since I removed my wisdoms. Walking in I was greeted by Jen. Everything was clean and sanitizer was on the desk. I had my appointment at 2pm and was seen in about 10 minutes. While I was waiting, I asked Jen about braces and since they don't do braces at this dental office she gave me a couple of complementary referrals so that I may get free consults at other dental offices. She even went as far without me asking to pull up what my insurance would cover for my braces. Dr. Andreea is super friendly and really makes you feel comfortable. She checked my gums and everything was good. I'm looking forward to my teeth cleaning in December. read more

I am glad you are responding. 1st can you please tell me why both my primary and secondary insurance were charged for a cleaning in January. I don't recall going in for two cleanings in January. I find it highly unlikely that I or anyone would need a cleaning on the 13th of Jan. And the 17th of Jan. In response to your assumptions that I was having a bad day, that is just incorrect. I mean come on I was listening to Bob Marley on my way in to your office and who would be upset even when stuck in traffic while listening to such an icon. In fact before arriving to your location and dealing with your rude staff I was having a great day with my children. Also, just an FYI, although I made arrangements to go to my appointment there where things that happened that where out of my control that delayed my arrival, such as, unexpected traffic. Much like the patient you attended to on one of my appointments that had an emergency and your office had to attend to before me even though that patient didn't have an appointment scheduled months ahead. If I recall I waited on the chair for more than 45 min. to be treated. As for my insurance situation I was able to talk to a rep within two min. of calling, not sure what your office is trained to do, but trust me calling in to verify my insurance was easy peasy. Not sure how you train your staff to verify information but clearly they were not doing it right. Lastly, as I'm sure this is not the actual doctor responding rather probably the manager that winked at me I don't appreciate that. As a matter of fact I should give you a fun fact about me becoming a mother to teenagers I tend to match the energy. My personal experience with this dentist was very bad. She recommended treatments that I decided to get a second opinion on, asked and paid for my x-rays, and the office provided me with x-rays that were incomplete and did not show the tooth that the dentist recommended to extract. When I called and asked for the complete x-rays I was told they do not have them and I can come in to take new ones. When I asked how did the dentist decide that my tooth needs to be extracted without seeing an x-ray the assistant told me "I don't know, I am not the doctor" with an attitude. I believe in my case I was being swindled. The doctor then contacted me and told me I would not be charged for the x-rays. I personally will not be coming back. read more

Woke up with swollen nodes and a migraine. Noticed my mouth was swollen. Dr. Moisiucs office was able to squeeze me in the early afternoon as a first time patient. I arrived early to fill out paperwork and insurance verification. The office was warm, invited and CLEAN. The staff did their very best to make this as quick and easy as possible. During the whole time the staff explained everything step by step and referred me to an ortho for wisdom extractions. A dentist visit is already an intimidating idea to begin with but this staff made it so seamless. read more

I am very disappointed with my visit.l have HMO insurance. My insurance covers free x-ray and cleaning. They give me x-ray and then they told me a list of things that I have to do with my teeth including deep cleaning. I told them I only want regular cleaning. They told me they don't offer regular cleaning they only accept deep cleaning which cost $880. read more

The words I would use to describe this dentist are: kind, gentle, professional, competent, capable and excellent. I had not been to the dentist for many years, had a broken molar that needed removal, an erupted wisdom tooth that needed extraction and needed fillings and a deep cleaning. I had X-rays and they were detailed and showed the needed work. The dentist and dental assistants all were great, so kind to me. I was very pleased with their work, and everything healed nicely. The office staff worked with my schedule and were kind courteous and professional. I definitely would recommend this dentist and this office. They take most insurance and Medi-Cal. read more

They have made me really angry. They gave my mother a very late appointment, and they canceled it when I got a day off to take her to the clinic. Now, we are stocked with their bad service only because Medi-Cal sent the approval letter to them. They just offer us an appointment for next two months! Is she really working or her job is only an entertainment for her? I told her that I come from a long way, and she only did two small filings, and told us she cannot do more as she is tired. Have been a patient here since 2014 and after my last 2 visits we have decided to find a new dentist. Our previous experience here with prior dentists, Dr. Homan Homapour and Dr. Keren Nguyen were great and we never had any problems. At our last few visits with Dr. Adreea Moisiuc my daughter had a few cavities that had to be filled which we went ahead and got done. Dr Moisiuc has great bedside manner and was able to keep my daughter at ease and get it all done. Fast forward a week or so later and my daughters filling came out so we went back to get it refilled. I didn't think too much of it and gave Dr. Moisiuc the benefit of the doubt that it wouldn't happen again, BUT after a few months its come out again. This has never happened before with any other dentist, we gave Dr. Moisuic a chance but now its time to find a new dentist. read more

The staff is very helpful and honest here. This is not a dental office that will try to rip you off. After your X-rays and exams the office manager will come by with her iPad and show you the breakdown of what your insurance covers and everything you might need. Yes Yes Yes....FINALLY!!!! I've been looking for awhile for a really good, honest, GENTLE dentist. I drove by this plaza and eaten at the Yogurtland lots. My general cleaning/maintenance was coming up and I decided this year was the year I change dentist. I took a leap of faith a month ago...called and made an appt. and had my 1st consultation and visit. Meeting Dr. Keren was such a RELIEF. She really listened to my fears of PAIN and just what I've experienced growing up with being traumatized by many dentists. She reassured me I was in good hands. I was indeed. The entire process was smooth and the staff was so professional and super friendly. I felt comfy right away. My fears were still there but something about her approach to HONESTY and her SINCERE demeanor was so comforting to me. I knew I was going to be HAPPY here. X-Rays...done! Cleaning...done!!! She even gave me options as to a tooth I knew was going to be a problem. Instead of telling me to do this and that...she gave me 3 options and even asked me to go online and do my research. I listened to her advice and I did so. I came back 2 weeks ago and had a consultation with a specialist about my problem tooth. Everything was wonderful and her conservative approach made it easy to make a decision. I opted for the one the specialist recommended. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have made that initial call to come in. I love their office and the staff. They are all very nice, friendly and they seem to care about their patients and what happens to them. I'm sold...I've been referring so many people to their 2 offices. Her hubee runs their Costa Mesa Office while Dr. Keren is normally at the Fountain Valley office. If you are looking for a GREAT dentist, in this case 2 GREAT dentists...you are in LUCK!!! Make an appt. and see how great they are for yourself. I've already had 1 happy referral since my 1st visit. Thank you Dental Center....I love you guys a lot...really I do. I've been to a few dentists before with favorable experience, however I'm prompted to write a review on this to voice my disappointment. Every time I have an appointment, I usually come ahead of my appointment time, and do not mind waiting a few minutes after that. My latest appointment was the last straw of my patience. First, they called me to move my cleaning appointment to another date as Dr. Moisiuc had a family emergency. Of course I understood and agreed to move my appointment. So I arrived at 1:45 pm for my 2:00 pm appointment. I waited at the front desk for half an hour then I was called to sit inside. Whilst sitting on the dentist chair, I waited for x-rays and then wait again forDr. Moisiuc. She looked at my teeth, left, and then wait again. (All I needed was cleaning). At this point, I have been there close to 2 hours, I felt that all this wait was unnecessary. I was told that the waiting was their standard procedure. This has been my worst experience with a dentist, so I left and will have to find a better dentist with better service. read more

My mom is a patient there and speaks very broken English but still I've always found the staff very accommodating in rescheduling since we have a somewhat complex busy schedule. We would get a text reminder and phone call which helps a lot. The staff is always pleasant to speak with , a delight to talk to, and very understanding. Needed to find a new dentist. Thankfully, this one took my insurance and it was easy to find! After calling and booking my appointment for a cleaning, I went in a couple of days later. Of course, since I was a new patient, paperwork had to be filled out. It wasn't too cumbersome, but standard none-the-less. Office layout is clean and so are the rooms. This dentist is dishonest, unethical, unprofessional and takes full advantage of patients who fear the dentist and haven't been to the dentist in years. The terrible work that she did, other dentists and periodontists have commented on how poor her work is. My new dentist who I respect and feel blessed to be her patient has had to redo all of the work that this dentist supposedly did. I had 5 fillings done and 3 fell out more than 1 time. They were suppose to deep clean all 4 quadrants at the same time. The periodontist who works in this dentists office commented how they were not cleaned at all as I was suppose to have surgery there. This dentist took advantage of a patient who was fearful and lacked knowledge of what different procedures entailed. This dentist padded her bill too. Its a shame as her staff is very nice, but this dentist is beyond dishonest. read more

I had a procedure done and they recommended to work on 3 but asked to do only 1 since my FSA balance was low. I went for my first dr appointment. I showed up 1hr early cause I know there's paper work to fill out . They looked closed people were showing up and leaving cause they thought they were . No signed no nothing. They wound not pick up calls . Turns out they were in the back seems short staff and unprofessional. Lost out on 2hrs of work since I left work early . Changing to different doctor I wouldn't recommend this place and looks like a scam read more

I did not get a cleaning, but I was sold another laser deep cleaning for $140.00 I was suppose to get one free cleaning per year. Then felt very pressured to continue immediately to have teeth replaced at same appointment. Did not get Andrea. Another dentist was substituted not comfortable at all. Everyone was friendly office was very clean & got X rays taken & didn't realize how bad my tooth was impacted had to get referred out to an oral surgeon they were so efficient with getting my referral & x rays to the surgeon!! She's great! Honestly, I'm a nervous nelly when it comes to the dentist. I have always paid for dental ins. but never gone to the dentist, because, I just don't like to. Needless to say that when I finally decided to go to see the dentist, I had 5 cavities, gum issues and one of my previous fillings from childhood was cracking my tooth:( They contacted my insurance and got all the pricing for me. We did the work in stages, Deep cleaning, then cavity fillings and on to my crown.. I always go in so nervous, and by the time I leave its one of those "OH, that wasn't bad" Type of situations. Everyone on the staff is friendly, accommodating and polite. They even had an option of care credit with zero interest. Since my crown was almost $900, I decided to sign up for that specific procedure. My only issue was when I was told about care credit, they said it was a year of zero interest. When I checked out with them it was only for 6 months at zero interest. But hey, still better than putting it on my credit card and getting interest immediately! So, no biggie. I highly recommend Dr. Moisiuc if you are in need of a good straight forward dentist. read more

Similar to other reviews, they try to upsell you. Mine came out to a total of $2960 (after insurance)! I went in a for a basic check up and cleaning. I got there 5 minutes early and after an hour, I was still sitting in the chair as they were consulting my insurance company how much it would cost for everything. I just want my cleaning. They refused to do regular cleaning as they wanted me to do deep cleaning. I asked my friend who is a dentist and he asked if they did measurements to call out. They didn't. They looked at the x-ray but according to my dentist friend who saw the x-rays, he didn't see any areas of tartar that would require a deep clean. What a waste of time. Do not recommend. My other friend actually recommended this practice so was hoping they would be good. read more
