I had already tried other physical therapy offices and wasn't getting any meaningful relief. Working with Gary was completely different. Nothing ever felt rushed, and within the first 30 minutes of my initial visit, I could already feel an improvement. What stood out most was how tailored the treatment was to me. It wasn't the same standard PT routine you see everywhere or exercises you could easily find on YouTube. After every session, I felt better and continued to make progress. I'm not completely pain-free yet, but I'm about 75% better than when I started. More importantly, I feel confident that continuing with the program Gary developed for me will keep me moving in the right direction and eventually get me back to running and being more active and pain-free with my kids. I've tried various PTs through my insurance, but this is the first time I invested in PT out of…read morepocket, and it was absolutely worth it. I felt like my body was twisted and unbalanced, but the PTs covered by my insurance weren't able to help me until the issue I had been expressing eventually led to a severe injury where I couldn't walk for about five days. The PTs would give me exercises that I could have easily found through ChatGPT or a simple Google search, and then send me to an aide. When I had questions, the aides often didn't know the answers. They gave me A LOT of at home exercises, almost a quantity over quality, hoping one works. Then I found Dr. Gary! He is very different from a typical PT. He listens carefully to all of my issues (pain and discomfort seemingly everywhere. I'm sure I sound like a hypochondriac ), and then gives me some really odd exercises that I would never have found on my own. Somehow, I always feel better afterward. He goes all the way down to the basics, even teaching me how to breathe to properly engage my core, when to breathe during an exercise, and exactly where I should be feeling each movement. It's not just "here are some exercises, go do them." He makes sure I understand why I'm doing them and what I should be feeling. He also consistently remembers to send me my homework, often with videos. With the other PTs I tried, I had to repeatedly hunt them down to get my exercises, so I ended up having to rely on memory. Dr. Gary also responds to my questions between sessions if I'm unsure about an exercise, which has been incredibly helpful in making sure I'm doing things correctly. What I appreciate most is how much he genuinely cares about learning and thinking critically. I can tell he is constantly processing what he's seeing and what I'm telling him during our sessions and trying to figure out the root cause of what's going on. He tests and retests his hypotheses until my body gives him feedback that he's on the right track. I'm incredibly thankful for Dr. Gary and the care he puts into his work. If you're dealing with something that feels "off" in your body, I truly believe your health is worth the investment. Don't wait until the problem becomes a serious injury like I did because of the limitations of the insurance system. Take the chance! you may be surprised by how much the right PT can help. Called…read moreon 9/8/26 as my referral for my left hip was approved on 9/2 and was told they couldn't find my referral. After being placed on hold for quite awhile, they found my referral and said that I needed to be assigned to a provider and will be called back in 24 hours to schedule appointment. No call back, so I called to follow up today 9/11 and was told they couldn't find my referral again. Gave my info then the receptionist rudely asked if I had seen pain management before, which I replied, yes for my back. She said I need to submit my records for any pain management because the doctor needs to review and approve me before I can get an appointment. I said they need this even though it's for another part of my body? She said it doesn't matter, they need to see everything. At this point, I was so frustrated because she never confirmed she found my approval and added a new hoop to jump through to see if I will even be "approved" to get an appointment for a consultation. This is absolutely ridiculous and I just said thank you and hung up. Good luck getting past the front office to even get a consultation!

Unlike other doctors I have been to, he doesn't just throw out a suggestion of a surgical procedure or assume anything about my condition. He patiently answered all of my questions and reassured me that we were making the right decision. Rarely has a doctor made me feel both comfortable in his presence and confident in his diagnosis.

Came to Dr Ahn for a trigger finger problem that I have been experiencing for years.. I have to crack my back a lot and decided it was time to go to a chiropractor. Dr. Uy is very personable and customized your session to your needs. My lower back tends be tight so he used this electrotherapy massage that loosened it up. It was interesting feeling at first but definitely felt better afterward. After that he adjusted my neck and back. I didn't have to crack my back for like 2-3 months after the adjustment. Now I drop by every couple months to get adjusted and then I'm on my way.
