Dropped my truck off for them to look at a front end concern while driving. 24hrs later they called to say its ready for pickup cost was 127.00 I arrive and they had a 7 page estimate with a total of 9800.00 to change out everything front to rear! It was exhausting to stand there and be told what they wanted to do and they didn't even address the issue or catch the reason why my truck had a pull. The issue was a bad right front tire that the tread had separated from the inner tire... thats was the issue. I found it. This shop isn't what it used to be when the original owner was alive. They just want to sell you parts and fix nothing. read more

Recently put up a 2 star review on a brake line issue. After driving found barke leak is still happening. She told me ABS module was bad and all alarms were in. A crawled under to see where it was leaking and found my ABS module was in plugged, so I plugged it back in and all my alarms cleared. I went back tell her about what I found and where it's leaking and she said they only worked on rear module and my vehicle has multiple ABS modules and they didn't work on that one. So she lied, there is only one. read more

Took our van there for repair. Sat there for 3 weeks and never even looked at. Called numerous times checking my vehicle , no one picked up the phone, left messages at least 10 times and still nobody called us back After waiting 4 weeks went down there nobody in the office just grabbed keys off the board and left. I try hard to support local businesses. Called to ask price of a wheel alignment. Rudely informed that their policy is to not give estimates because they "don't want people to shop around. " Communication is paramount in service businesses. Sadly, I reluctantly have to say I can't deal with this shop due to their refusal to reveal the price of "additional shop costs" and the Rude manner of the woman with whom I spoke. read more

Electrical system was damaged and required replacement from a jump start issue. I got the run a around on parts and the Opus programer to reprogram the computer for almost 3 months. Nothing but excuses from Lisa. This part came in but we need to order something else scenario that continued for months. She is a condescending, aggressive woman and tries to make herself the victim of her own incompetence. She actually said she and some of her mechanics were frustrated and wanted the vehicle off the lot. It would have been more professional and less expensive for me if she would have admitted they didn't possess the expertise to fix it! After almost 3 months she still didn't have the vehicle fixed blaming it on the Opus programer that supposedly was ordered 2 weeks ago that came in but didn't work and said she couldn't reach the company to get another sent, for over a week. Then she condescendingly asked if I wanted to call the company myself. Unprofessional! It's my vehicle at her business for almost 3 months, and she gets nasty? I am of course, frustrated. I need my vehicle but this woman couldn't care less. She puts the blame on everyone else. No apology, no concern that I have been without a vehicle for months. It's no use trying to have an intelligent conversation with this woman she doesn't possess the capacity to understand anyone's prospective but her own. She either makes excuses or gets verbally aggressive and tells you to take your vehicle somewhere else. Hopeless!! I had to call a tow truck to take the vehicle which had the dashboard in pieces to the dealership in south Florida. I am anxious to hear what the dealership has to say about her repairs. Her bill for not fixing my vehicle $2800 which she claims she took off $1,000 labor charge. I find it interesting that she already had the bill made out not knowing I was coming in this am to check on the progress. She had no intention of fixing my vehicle. Spoke with a mechanic there weeks ago who said it just sat on the lot for a period of time and that Lisa had people working on it off and on that didn't know what they were doing. I called her before the tow truck arrived and asked her to take pictures of the vehicle parts they put on the seat so I wouldn't get into a he said-she said situation when it arrives at the dealership. Her response was I'll get someone else to do it, I am on crutches. Instead of just saying ok, that's a good idea she makes it about herself and her crutches. So later the tow truck driver shows up and starts taking pictures of the vehicle and the parts left inside the vehicle. He is seen doing this and scurrying out of the building comes someone to take pictures that should have already been taken and texted to me. Needless to say Lisa did not text me the pictures as she said she would. Before Lisa inherited this establishment I took my vehicles there, not anymore. When there's a lack of competition in town the standards go down, in this case, way down. The worst auto repair experience I've ever encountered. Only in the Keys. read more

This my "go-to" place. I have used several places in and around Marathon, and this is the one place where I can be sure that things are done correctly. That concern for good work out the door seems to be the reason that some reviewers here tend toward the negative. Regardless, I always allow for extra time because I know that when the truck is returned, it will be 100% -- unlike some other local places. Several repairs over many miles -- all good! Last month (Sep 2019), while on vacation camping at Curry Hammock State Park, the alternator on our 2010 Ford F150 decided to die. Where in Marathon do you find a trustworthy auto repair shop in the middle of a tourist locale? Ask a bar tender! Actually, we asked a couple of locals and they all referred us to A & Ds. When we called to make an appointment and told Alicia our story, she said bring it in. We did. She was able to work our truck into their schedule and get it repaired. We are very grateful to her and the mechanics for their courtesy, professionalism, and patience. I stopped in at the office and made an appointment to have my truck towed in and serviced. It would not start. I was flying out in a couple days and would return in 3 weeks. They told me they would tow it that Friday. That didn't happen. I called 10 days later and they said I was next on the list. Still didn't hear back. I called the day before (Tuesday) that I was returning and it still was not even towed. No call, no communication. I now have to rent a car and they had 3 weeks to look at it. I am a local resident that pays my bills ontime and have never complained about a business until now. I then said I'm also in the service industry (semi-retired) and that is terrible business and I would call someone else. The lady said "ok" and hung up. read more

Granted it was Friday at 230 on St Paddy's day but one expects a "service" station to be helpful if not gracious. We did not get beyond the receptionist to have our engine light code read. Our car had a 3 week old battery that kept losing its charge. Andy & Daves's was suggested as someone we could trust. We were originally told we couldn't get in for a week. When we explained we were snowbirds & this was our only mode of transportation they squeezed us in that day. They called & asked if they could keep our car over night & we agreed. The next morning our battery again lost its charge & it was determined it was a bad battery. A new battery was put in & our car was ready that morning. They even explained everything they did on our receipt so we can go back to the dealer that put in the "bad" battery. They easily could have blamed the alternator, a much more expensive repair. It's working perfectly now & we couldn't be more greatful for their honesty & quick service. Highly recommended! read more

I'm a resident of marathon, I needed an oil change and a tire rotation which went well, they said I needed two new tires for my car and I agreed, they said they would give my a quote for the tires but never got back to me, even after I had called them back several time. They also lost the key lock for my lug nuts and would not take responsibility for losing it. I would not recommend this place. read more

Jeep broke down and got my car to them by 10 am. Got a call at 2 that they fixed the transfer box and was easy fix. They could have said whole thing needs to be replaced and I would not have known better. Everyone in marathon suggested I use them and they were right. Great experience read more
