The quartz looks…read moregreat, it was cut well to the shape of my kitchen, and the seam between 2 countertop pieces is practically invisible. The process from enquiring to ordering was very straightforward and easy to engage with. I was able to go and view the quartz prior to them cutting it to shape. The only road bump we hit was with installation. For the most part it was a good installation job, but it turned out that one of my cabinets was a bit higher than the others, which wasn't visible with the old counters. The installation team pointed out to me that they had to put an additional piece of wood under the counter in that location, but they didn't point out that it then made that counter higher than the others, and I didn't see that when they showed me. I only noticed the height difference after the installers left. My feedback is that I would have liked the installers to have been more explicit about this height difference before they glued the quartz down. I was relying on Integrity Stonework to be the experts for this installation, so trusted that they would point items like this out. After the installation, I had to pay an additional company to come in and remove the countertop to adjust the cabinet before gluing the quartz down again as Integrity Stonework did not offer to come and fix it, despite my request to them to make good on this. To be fair, the installation team did point out a different issue with countertop leveling in a different part of the kitchen prior to gluing items down. I think the height differential was just an unfortunate hiccup as part of this journey, so be thorough and ask to check the countertops prior to anything being glued down!

Series said Maks would be out on Tuesday afternoon to do the measurement and Sunday to do the installation. Tuesday morning, Maks called and said he'd be out about 4. He arrived on time. After measuring, he said they could actually install on Saturday!! Friday, Sergio called and said they'd be out at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. At 8:28 a.m. they were pulling in our driveway. As a customer, I believe it is completely normal to ask detailed questions before hiring a contractor, especially for a home project involving cost, materials, and installation details. The lack of clear answers and the tone of the response made me lose confidence in moving forward with this company. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company if you expect clear communication and respectful customer service.

Will not reimburse any expenses. Beyond pissed off.

They even gave us the suggestion of starting the floors, and then coming back to finish them after we finished painting walls because of dust, debris, etc., to make sure we were happiest with the end result. When we had questions or any concerns, they were quick to call, give tips, and come back to assess or change something based on our preferences. They even gave us some of the product they used so we could match our baseboards and fill them the way they suggested. I would highly recommend them for any flooring project.

Their pricing is also pretty fair. During the project they worked hard and kept the schedule as promised. During the process some unanticipated issues came up and they showed flexibility and willingness to change the scope of the project and schedule accordingly. They are detail oriented. After we had them reinstall all baseboards there was one place we were not quite happy, they came back and fixed it. The end result was beautiful and it had been a great experience working with Serhii and his family crew! Northwest Flooring is definitely at the top of my list for any of our future hardwood flooring needs!

Please make sure you read this review before deciding on who you want to do business with. I did a simple google search when I started the process of navigating the wonderful world of granite/quartz/marble and our kitchen remodel. (A little sarcasm there. We were at the end of our remodel, ready to be done and had zero experience with this process) Budget Granite and Stone came up based on location. I saw they were open so I headed over. When I arrived, Otto had just stepped out of the office to handle some business, but immediately turned around for the opportunity to come and meet me at his shop. At the moment of introductions I knew this would eventually be the company I was going to do business with. (I did my due diligence and met with other contractors) Otto's personality was off the charts, not to mention his knowledge and background in the business. He gave me multiple showroom/slab warehouse locations to go and visit. Unbelievable how many of these business are located in the SODO area. (All I can say there is good luck.) In the end we found some beautiful quartz that Otto went down, picked up, fabricated and installed in 3 FRICKEN DAYS! Really? Who does that? Otto and Budget Granite and Stone, that's who. Because of water leak underneath our sink, our contractor had to remove most of the tile counter-top before working on the leak. After the water leak was fixed, our kitchen was missing the sink and the part of the counter-top. Since our family, from out of state, was visiting us in a week, we had to get new counter-top and the sink asap. We called several Counter-top places including chain box stores. Apparently this was the worse time to get a new counter-top. Everyone stated that we had to wait 5 to 7 weeks. As we were calling different place, one store was willing to do it within 3 weeks. So, as we were driving to this store, we saw a sign "Budget Granite and Stone" on our way. So we decided to Call Otto, the owner of Budget Granite and Stone, and told him our story and requested if he could get us new counter-top sooner than 3 weeks. Even though Otto stated that he was extremely busy, he mentioned that he will check his schedule and see if he could squeeze us in. Otto called us next day and told us that he might be able to get us new counter-top but he might have work on our project either early morning or late evening. We were fine with it. Otto got us new counter-top before our family was here. We love our granite counter-top and very glad we ran into Otto. I resorted a 150+ year old Mitchell & Rammelsberg dresser for my granddaughter, Ella - and needed a remnant piece of granite to complete the top (apx 18x42 inches, with mitered edges). In order to manage my sophisticated nine year old granddaughters expectations, I brought her with me to Budget Granite, so that she might select a remnant that suited her taste. The owner (Otto) personally toured Ella & I throughout his extensive on hand inventory of remnant granite/stone/quartz and explained to Ella, in great detail, the ins & outs of each piece that she seemed interested in. Once Ella had made her selection, Otto set about cutting, finishing and polishing the piece to my exacting measurements (my amateur template provided); where my template was lacking, Otto took great strides to ensure that the finished product would be fabricated as we envisioned (it was). Extremely easy to work with... Wide selection of on hand stone/quartz... Capacity to cut and finish products in house, on time and within budget... I stopped by Budget Granite and Stone to inquire about making a headstone for my son who was throttled to death by Amador County Sherrifs in 2014. His unexpected death and health issues I've had made it challenging for me to afford the kind of memorial that I wanted and that my son deserved. I met Otto, the owner, and was told he could make the memorial for me. A few months later, I contacted him again, and he remembered me and my Asperger's son's tragic demise. Otto was so kind and compassionate to me, understanding of my circumstances and my need to pay tribute to the life and potential lost just as it was beginning. He not only made the beautiful memorial for my son, but refused to charge me for it. This man is the kind of human being we should all strive to be. My condo flooded so we had a major renovation. I had my heart set on fanstasy brown marble and was having a really difficult time finding someone who could install it quickly. After a google search I found Budget Grabite and I am so glad that I did. Throughout this process I had such a hard time working with the different vendors with the exception of Otto, what a stand up guy! He consistently answered the phone and was always in a good spirits and he heard me out. He was never in a rush. He reserved my favorite slab that I chose at MSI for me until I could get my deposit money together. Once he had the slab, he sent me photos when so I could pick which side I wanted to use for our island. The guys he sent for the install laid down carpet to protect my floors as they wheeled it in. The price was very competitive to the other bids we had received so we decided to move forward. Otto is responsive, very genuine and professional. I contacted BG&S for a difficult project. For many, it might have seemed simple, but being the owner of a construction management company, I knew there were tricky considerations. Otto and company stepped up to the challenge. I asked to check their layout before they cut the stone and when I arrived, they had laid it out perfectly for me. After they cut the stone, I stopped by again to view the seams. Now, this stone has a lot of movement and I was really concerned about the seams. The stone was going to be a centerpiece for me and it needed to be as good as could be. I was absolutely floored when I saw what Otto and company did. To say they are good craftsmen is not enough. There was an art to matching the movement and they succeeded. Give these guys a shot. Otto came to rescue even though I had decided to go with another company for my project because I was going to get a lower price for a package deal of counters, cabinets and doors! Well it was too good to be true as they went out of business and left me with no countertops or doors and not the cabinets we designed! So Otto and his crew came out immediately, remeasured and got me installed all in a matter of days, which was the miracle I needed! They were courteous, friendly, and I got the most beautiful quartz countertops! Otto even came over immediately when I realized the wrong sink was installed and he brought the correct sink, and they installed it! Met with Otto without any appointment, he took us in and showed the wide array of Quartz selection. Got the stone we wanted, and quote the same day! This guy knows what he's doing, been doing it for 30+ years! Long story short, the following week Otto came by to template our kitchen and bathroom on Wednesday. Then we scheduled the install in 2 days, on Friday! The team was great, and Otto gave great suggestions on how to do our own backsplash. He even let us borrow a table saw for a few weeks to help cut the tiles (we elect to do our own demo and install our own backsplash). My countertops were installed yesterday by Otto, owner of Budget Granite and stone, and Vincent. The countertops are gorgeous! Otto surprised us yesterday morning with an unexpected phone call, asking us if he could bring our countertops and install them. With the holidays, we thought we'd be lucky to have them next week, but Otto went all out to get them to us the day after Christmas. He and Vincent worked quickly, and did a beautiful job. We had Otto and Budget Granite and Stone install a new bathroom granite vanity top and two vessel sinks, do all the prep work and plumbing, move a big wall-mounted mirror and dispose of all the debris. Otto was quick, on time, reasonably priced, neat and professional, as were his two helpers. We couldn't be more pleased. If it were possible to award him six stars, I would award him six stars. And don't forget to ask him about his personal family history -- it's a fascinating story, and Otto Brixel is one heck of a nice guy. I liked a couple of samples in his shop, but wanted to see them on a larger scale to get a better idea of what they would look like in the kitchen. He set me up with a trip to the warehouse downtown so that I could view them in their original quartz slab size; this was very helpful. Weeks after he installed the countertops, he made a special trip back to drill holes for our dishwasher & water filter. Our kitchen looks beautiful. Series said Maks would be out on Tuesday afternoon to do the measurement and Sunday to do the installation. Tuesday morning, Maks called and said he'd be out about 4. He arrived on time. After measuring, he said they could actually install on Saturday!! Friday, Sergio called and said they'd be out at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. At 8:28 a.m. they were pulling in our driveway. Superior work, very friendly and professional, and they clean up after themselves. We are so happy we stumbled across them. Give them a call, and you'll be happy you did!
