me and my cousin came in to this shop yesterday for them to change his windshield wipers and brakes. were new to the area so when we inquired about a good auto repair shop we came here. i looked at all the reviews and they all were good. but the experience me and my cousin had was far from it.. the owner and all the workers were rude to me. when they gave me my car back they gave it back with allll my windows rolled down. i know when business or establishments see younger people they think they can say and do whatever because we are young. we still should be treated with respect weather were 19or 65. everyone was rude, no one gave me eye contact or looked me in my eyes. and 600 dollars to change windshield wipers and brakes ??? this place is a rip off with rude employees. save your money and go some where that is respectable read more

We all know the nightmare that is car repair. I have difficulty trusting anyone with my car, especially when so often you're at their mercy regarding what legitimately needs to be repaired. I've had a couple of shops around the area do work on my car with not always the best results...and at top prices. Jerry, Michael and Prem all know what they're doing, their shop is clean and they spend time to explain things to you. I've had them work on my two previous cars and now the two cars that have replaced them. An example of their work- 1) When my Infiniti was smelling like gas, they found that there was an issue with my tank that was leaking. They replaced the tank. Soon afterwards my car began running rough and even stopped on occasion. They told me to bring the car in. Instead of getting the run around and being told I had some engine issue, they pulled the gas tank and noticed that some sediment had come up from the replacement tank, clogging the fuel filter. They removed the tank, re-boiled it to clean it, and replaced it. The car ran perfect afterwards. No charge, as it should be. I was happy. 2) When looking into buying my used Mercedes, they spent an hour looking the car over, pulling the wheels, checking belts and fluids. NO CHARGE! I was stunned. This never happens, much-less in NY. Now I'm bringing my Mercedes and wife's Lexus to them to get them up to par. It's hard to find a good mechanic. Even if I move from the immediate area, I'd try my best to bring my cars to Andy's Auto. They aren't the least expensive, but they know what they're doing and treat you fairly. They helped me with the insurance process, fixed the mechanical and body work very well, were communicative about what was going on with my car, and picked me up and dropped me off at my home. I don't know what to say about this place. My mom trusts them and believes them but I've had the same problem with my car (which she pays for) for a few years. I've heard different explanations about why 1 light keeps coming on since I've gotten the car. Of course now they think it is the most serious reason I've heard and they're claiming they've been able to fix it in time to get it passed for inspection for the past few years. I personally have had it but like I said my mom pays for the fixes. The people there are really nice and I guess that's why she keeps taking our cars there, but I finally got her to get a second opinion. I think they are very unorganized also. My mom brought her car to get fixed, it was there for two days and then on the day she got it back there was a postcard saying her car needed an oil change. I don't understand why they couldn't look that up while her car was there, but they didn't. Like I said before, I've had enough and hopefully the place we get the second opinion will be better. read more

This review is long overdue. I've been a customer of Andy's for years. The owner, Jerry, is the nicest man you'd ever want to meet, as well as trust with your car. They have NEVER given me a wrong diagnosis with my old car, which got to be 27 years old before I bought a new one. Jerry, Prem and Mike work well together. I've never seen an "organized" auto place, but this one is pretty good - he knows where all his parts and tools are, and he's always able to find a part when needed. ALSO: BIG FACTOR: Jerry has NEVER overcharged me. EVER. His repair prices are fair, and he stands behind his work. Will I take my new car to him? YOU BET! It's a year old, and I'm already "DONE" with the dealer's maintenance shop - they tried to charge me $185 for two new filters (air and passenger cabin.) Really? Come on! Betcha Andy's will charge less than HALF that. I'd do it myself, but I have no idea what's under this new hood. read more
