Always looking to bang you for services you don't need. Found the service at Goodyear to be excellent, friendly and quality work. Dave is great along with Walt and Dennis. I've had bigger jobs done there besides general service. They work with CarShield and that is a bonus compared to a dealership. While in the waiting area, I always observe customers coming in to check out various issues from putting air in a tire to removing a registration sticker because they didn't have a scraper. They were always obliging, stopped what they were doing and helped out as a courtesy. Richie did a great job on replacing my A/C condenser and I appreciated Eric for the ride home and back. The machine is down, the tech had to leave, or the last one is that there needs to be three witnesses to the inspection. When I opened the door the smell of pot smoke was unbearable. They said the tech left, though I called and scheduled and I would have to come back another day. Not against people smoking but hey, if you are replacing brakes on someone's car and forget to tighten the lug nuts you may have caused a serious accident. Sucks cause the concept of a Jiffy Lube is great. In and out with quick service and most people are probably not doing brakes there. But someone could forget the oil drain plug or use the wrong filter which would cause another issue. Something to think about before you bring your car here. This company should also not advertise NYS inspections as each location has a reason why they can't when you get there even though you call ahead.

I showed up on a Saturday morning, hoping to just get an opinion about a brake issue so I could schedule an appointment for another day. I had been forewarned by a friend who is a self-declared car expert that this was going to be a major, costly job. In the end, I drove out of there after two hours with brand new rotors and pads, no more squealing from my wheels, and only a small dent in my bank account. As an "older" guy (like me), Tom is from a generation that truly appreciates the concept of holding on to cars, electronics, and other things for as long as they provide good service. Many other mechanics would have scoffed at me for still driving a 2011 Honda Element, making excuses for why they couldn't make my brakes stop catching and squealing ("You have to expect that from a 14-year-old car, sir"), but Tom treated my never-been-washed Element like it was a 2025 BMW. He's a very sociable guy, so I enjoyed chatting with him while he was working. Some might say he actually provides TOO much information, but I really appreciated how he explained everything he was doing, as it was pretty much implied from the beginning that the fix, as confident as he seemed, wasn't a 100% sure-shot. In the end, this relatively simple process of maintenance turned out to be a success, and I think he was as happy and relieved as I was. There are very few mechanics - including dealerships - that I have ever used more than once, but I will definitely be returning to Tom's for whatever my Element needs in the future.

They also talk you into so much extra spending you don't need of course. Made an appointment for an inspection for 1 pm, went in and they said they'd call in an hour. Already too long for an inspection but we waited. An hour and a half goes by so we come back and ask if it's done and we are told the "only have one inspector here today". After over two hours of waiting and they still didn't even start inspecting the car yet, we just asked for the keys and left. Definitely not coming back here for anything. If they would have told us in the beginning they were backed up instead of telling us an hour, we could have left and saved a lot of time. Thanks for that!

Booked an appointment for a wheel alignment, got a call same day after booking it to confirm. Got a call to confirm day of appointment. Arrived fifteen minutes before appointment and was told probably an hour and 15 until completion. Went for a walk came back pretty much that time later car was done. Price was very reasonable. No upsell. No nonsense like at the dealer where you come in for oil change and they tell you oh your transmission fluid needs changing and air filters at $100 each. None of that. They did what was asked, took payment and car was done promptly. Next time I need basic services will be back
