I previously went to a salon in Falls Church where my hair was cut unevenly(one side longer than the other/thinner than the other), severely thinned out at the bottom and given choppy "layers"(if you could even call them that. Initially I wasn't able to tell walking out of the salon due to the way the stylist had blew out my hair - it was only when I washed it for the first time that I noticed it. I was too embarrassed to even take photos of my hair and tried to hide it the best I could by curling it again for work. Julie did an amazing job saving what she could of my hair. She evened out the bottom as best as it could be (there is still some thinness/patchiness just due to the previous stylist) but I couldn't be more grateful for her time and work. If you're ever in need of a great service, I highly recommend seeing Julie and taking advantage of her 20+ years of knowledge/experience.

Afraid to say much in the way of details, but I do want to tell peeps to most definitely advocate for yourself even if the stylist doesn't agree with you because you are getting your hair done how YOU like it and in a style that makes you feel good, not for them! And trust me, they would most definitely not want you to choose their hairstyle for them, so don't feel bad about standing your ground. I wish I had!!! My hair looks no different, and I truly hate it, and I hate the word hate! I am not happy at all, and I wasted a lot of money! My fight or flight kicked in, and I should have listened to myself and walked out. Instead, I let them wear me down, and ended up paying over $100 to have something done that is not what I wanted and not even close to what I booked my appointment for, and I am so disappointed it's not even funny. It's one thing to give an unsolicited opinion and even to explain why you have that opinion, but it's another to basically bully someone into your idea of how you think they should look! It's ultimately the individual's choice as to how they want their own hair colored unless, of course, you waive all rights, which I did not, or if my life was in jeopardy by getting it colored how I wanted, which it was not. Beyond disappointed & I do not recommend this place at all! Beware!!!

Nine of them, all with years (and I mean YEARS) of experience, and they're snipping and shaping like the pros they are. It's busy, almost always, but that's 'cause people know where to go to get a solid cut. And while they've been around for a hot minute, they're not stuck in the past. I set an appointment to get a haircut with Qui, and when I arrive, someone else tells me to come to him (dont know who it was) and he decides to cut my hair instead. I tell him that I am growing my hair out and I want, at most, an inch off. He then proceeds to cut 2-3 inches off the top and even more on the sides and back even though I explicitly stated that I did not want that to happen. Im incredibly disappointed because I just lost around 3-4 months time of growing my hair out because my hair grows really slow and there is nothing I can do about it. I understand with COVID not everything can be perfect, but I probably would of spent less time there if he would've done what I asked. Not going there again unfortunately. read more

His technical approach is unique and demonstrates high-level skill: For medium length on top, he moves away from rote sectioning (holding hair between fingers). Instead, he combs along and against the grain to gauge the natural fall, cuts using a freehand sculpting technique, and thoroughly cross-checks. The Result: This method optimizes the cut for your specific head shape rather than just following a cookie-cutter pattern. It creates natural texture within the cut itself, saving time on point-cutting or texturizing later. Other details you will notice: * Sanitation: Hygiene is on point; he changes out his straight razor blades for every single client. * Detailing: He is efficient, but he doesn't rush the finish.
