I love Andy's. This was my first time at this location and it was the same quality as the others. Good customer service and the space was very clean. My favs are the strawberry cheesecake concrete and the cookie dough concrete. Only downside is this ice cream is expensive. It was $18 for our medium concrete and regular sundae with two toppings each. Overall, nice spot to go to for a treat. read more

The ice cream is amazing, the flavor is rich, I don't mind the price and the people are always really nice; HOWEVER from the last 7 times I've been there, 2 out of 7 times they have gotten my order correct. They give no receipts so I cannot show them the order is wrong and I cannot tell because I order to go and add peanut butter so I can only tell once I'm eating it at home. My request would be for them to pay better attention to the order. A lot of times I'm barely done ordering one thing when I hear "anything else?". When I had a craving for some ice cream, Andy's Frozen Custard definitely hit the spot! They had several options which made it hard to choose and once we ordered, it was out in just another minute! We were able to bring it 10 miles home with just a bit of melting, but it was still delicious! The warm fudge complimented the cold custard, and the nuts/banana were a great addition to the flavor too! We also were able to share the split amongst 4 people and it was more than enough. I liked the staff I came across - the guy working the drive-thru the day we went was super friendly! The order wasn't bad, it just definitely wasn't the best I've ever had or unique in any way. It was different than what I would have expected - because the place says "custard," I was expecting something a bit more whipped or less artificially sweet tasting. Turns out it tasted exactly like super cold ice cream and it wasn't as solid as a traditional scoop. The concrete bits were VERY sweet as well and also contributed to it being not as creamy. If I come back, I'll try another flavor in the sundae category without the dough chunks just to see if my impression is consistent across the board!! read more

I have been going to Culver's by my house to get custard, but it is always gritty. The custard at Andy's is very creamy and very good. The one disappointment is they did away with their custard layered with strawberry freeze option. Not sure why. It does not cost them anymore to make it. Well clearly I was a fool to trust this place again (Bolingbrook, IL) today I went to try a strawberry shortcake only to be handed the most dry strawberry shortcake. When I asked where the juice was that should accompany the strawberries the kid at the window tells me "oh that's an extra charge". I'm sorry when you pay over $6 for a bowl of ice cream, no wait custard, shouldn't it come right? Shouldn't strawberry shortcake come with at least a bit of juice?? I've been wanting to try Andy's for some time and was on my way with my family but our GPS gave all of us two different directions. That's when we realized that there was a new location! We ordered through the drive thru. As soon as we pulled up to the window and paid our order was ready. That was unbelievably fast service.lol The workers were also very polite . Maybe it wasn't hot enough, maybe I wasn't hungry enough, but I found nothing special about this place. Yes, they offer seasonal flavors, but not what I expected. You just walk up to a window and place your order. There are benches outside around the periphery. In the winter there are glass doors to make it a more enclosed space but I don't know where you would eat your food. It is located smack on the northeast corner of Boughton and Rt. 53 in a parking lot. If you are not familiar with the area, entry may be a bit of a problem. This is a brand new Andy's Frozen Custard that opened just a few weeks ago. The place was built to really high standards. The Best part about this is that so many options to choose from. Whether you like fruity ice cream or chocolate ice cream or any other flavor, you'll find it. It's not the typical ice cream shop, they also have shakes and fruit smoothies. What I like about these places is that there is a walk up window so you do not have to go inside. There is plenty of seating on the outside if you want to hang out. However I will warn you that it is on a busy intersection and you will hear lots of cars while you are hanging out and eating your ice cream. But the good part about that is that it is conveniently located and you don't have to drive too far for this place. read more
