Was charged more for what I ordered, had told them about it, and the server claims I said that it was that item when it was two completely different things, then says they can't refund items to the card charged that their manager told them that, then doesn't give us the receipt and makes a hassle about letting us take a picture of our own receipt saying that the management doesn't allow that. I didn't know what to expect but I knew this place probably had elotes. I LOVE elotes and anytime I can find authentic elotes I'm all for it. I walked into this establishment, it was nice, bright and colorful! Several people were in line waiting, most people there were there for ice cream or smoothies. The smoothies and ice cream looked so good. The place had fresh fruit and several different flavors of ice cream. This is a great place to visit if your looking for a healthy drink or a different kind of ice cream. They literally had queso ice cream. This is a pretty cool place and if I'm ever in the area again, I will defintely return. The elotes I purchased here wasn't bad at all. Defintely try this place out if you are nearby. Maybe this is why nobody's here. This is a place I would stop once in a while. It seems to have changed names. They no longer do samples and this is not good if they are a Mexican ice cream store hoping to appeal to the American public because now they won't let you sample any of their ice cream. The other thing that we noticed is now they charge you if you want an extra spoon or Fork. Looks like they're cutting all kinds of corners. There's some better michocanas on Route 53 just a few blocks away. We are here at six-thirty in the evening we're normally there would be a crowd and as you can see there's no one here. Just got our order of a shake. It has barely any flavor of the butter pecan that we ordered. And it's quite watery. We kind of have a feeling they put in one scoop of ice cream and filled up the rest with milk. read more

Super big store! For an ice cream shop this location is huge and has a lot of space and a lot of options! They've got tons of ice cream flavors and smoothies and fruit stuff and savory foods and corn on the Cobb! Honestly I was really impressed with it! A little sad I only found this place at the end of summer but maybe it's a good thing cuz then I would have left all my money there haha My husband and I got excited to find this place because of how spacious it was so we could bring a large crowd and all the options! Something to please everyone. The customer service was also really good. There was quite a few people there when we came in and the workers helped everyone. There was no chaos and everyone was served without having to wait forever. It's right next to Walmart so a nice place to stop by after you get your essentials. read more

Next to Fiesta market in Bolingbrook il My family and I really like this place but tonight's experience was every every horrible the young lady that was checking us out tonight made a very displeasing comment that I'm pretty sure no owner of a food establishment will tolerate well at least I wouldn't tolerate it in my restaurant. I know it was late but that's not an excuse if are an employee you are there to service the customer's. Everyone has the right to make bad comments about customers coming late and close to closing time but at least have the courtesy to not say them out loud where customers can hear you and when I told her not to be sayings those comments "hey its 9:50pm and this bullshit" she told another employee and both agreed. Note: there are actually two different La Michoacana's in Chicago and greater Chicago area. There is a La Michoacana with a logo that has a girl and says "Es Natural" on it (this location), and a La Michoacana with that doesn't have this logo (like the one next to Walmart location). The ones with the "Es Natural" logos are significantly better and give bigger portion sizes compared to the others. This franchise is underrated. I'm a huge fan of ice cream shops in and around Chicago. At first, I thought this was the only location, but I was wrong. They are ALL over Chicago and the greater area, and they might actually have more locations then Oberweis. $3.80 for a big cone with 3-4 scoops even though they say double scoop. The ice cream is delicious. I got the oreo flavor and they have HUGE chunks of oreos in there. They have oreo bar ice creams too and all sorts of fruit bars. My friend got the ferreo rocher (however you spell it) and he loved it. At Baskin Robbins, you get two small scoops for about $4. So I will probably never go to BR again. The crazy part is, they seem to be famous for the other things they offer. I don't know the names of them as they label everything in spanish but they look good! read more

Do not let the fact that this place is designed for spanish speaking clientele deter you from stopping in! Employees generally speak spanish but will speak English too. They will also be glad to explain what the items are. I had Ferraro Roche which is basically vanilla ice cream w/ chunks of fudge. I also eyeballed the paletas. This place is amazing. It can be a little intimidating if you don't speak Spanish because all of the signs are in Spanish. I've been here twice and the second time, one of the girls working there was helpful in explaining everything to us. While Mexican cups of ice cream overflow...you may catch them leveling off your cup...or worse...trying to removing ice cream from your cup when you turn your head-like I did. So I was purchasing a paleta, ONE, and I was expecting it to be no more than $5. The actual total was about $8. I was very surprised that it was actually more than $5 because usually paletas are not that expensive. If you think about it, that's literally almost $10, for ONE paleta that's not even a big size. In love with Michoacanas, but this one by far THE BEST ice cream and paletas. High quality and efficient. I will continue to drive from orland park to Bolingbrook. Yogurt is awesome as well. Looking forward to try something different next time read more
