They do have a drive through but that wouldn't have been much fun We were greeted as soon as we arrived. First there are so many choices so we needed a few minutes. After asking a lot of questions we made decisions. The young man was very helpful and patient. I was full from dinner so I got a sundae with raspberries. We were heading to another desert place and when we got there the parking lot was packed full. We passed Andy's in the way and turned around. I got a Double Double Chocolate Malt. It was pretty good. Places. Never use enough malt, but I could actually taste this in every sip. Husband got a Chocolate Cement Mixer and he was very pleased. After visiting this location with an friend and we had our 2 kids. Of course kids can be a little loud so after ordering we went outside. Kids will be kids and be a little loud mind you they are already on a loud street. Then some Hispanic girl with glasses came up to us ask us to keep tell our kids to be quiet because she wasn't able to hear orders mind you while trucks, motorcycles loud cars are going bye loud as ever and complain about 2 kids. After all this is a icecream place why can't kids be kids it's I felt that was very disrespectful especially interrupting us mid convo as she continued to do orders or take order she was opening the door aggressively making noises mumbling things under her breath never have I ever experienced Andy's like I did today I've been coming here for over 8 years today's customer service there was definitely not it. Don't come here if you don't want your kids to be told to be quiet. When they are outside. If I could give it negative stars I would. We had no intention of getting desert, but we drove by and did a U-turn when we saw how cute it looked. It was around 10 PM, and there were maybe like 5 customers in there. There's not a lot of seating, so it's definitely more of a drive thru place. We did sit outside on some benches, though. I got the Stolen Brownie Sundae. It probably had more brownie than custard but that it totally perfect for me, since I loooove brownies. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and paired perfectly with the vanilla custard. Service is pretty fast. They had our order within 2 minutes of putting it in. I visit Andy's often in the summer months. I recently ordered the strawberry shortcake sundae and it was horrible. The cake was either too hard, or mushy and not from strawberry syrup. I emailed the company with pictures and no reply back. Won't be going there anytime soon. read more

The ice cream has excellent richness in it. The toppings are a great choice for a concrete! I'm always getting my Boot Daddy! I got another concrete to try as well. It's called the James Brownie Funky Jackhammer. There are brownies and peanut butter in the middle. The custard is fantastic as always! The brownies are great, and the peanut butter was really good! The peanut butter is gooey (in a great way) and delicious! All in all, fantastic custard and great service! That's what I call a perfect ice cream place! I love Andy's! If I go every week like I have been, I"ll be as wide as my car! However, if you're ever within the vicinity of the one on Harlem, the service is nice, but the custard is outstanding! My favorites, the Key Lime (which is seasonal) I recommend adding strawberries and bananas for an orgasmic experience. Or try the StrawNana which is a great substitute in case they're out of the Key Lime. Awesome! read more

Frozen custard made fresh every hour, it's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for which is quality. The thing about frozen custard is you have to eat it fast before it turns into into liquid. All they have are Vanilla and Chocolate I think, no other flavors, but they'll put whatever you want on it. There's a well-known Custard chain that boasts amazing cold confections...and falls rather short of that claim (consistently...blech). Andy's always serves quality custard. You're only eating super-fresh frozen custard and that is not lost on anyone's taste buds. The prices are reasonable (competitive, fair), and service is always amazing. I get the feeling that training is heavy on being personable. At our last visit a few days ago, a pleasant young woman greeted us at the drive thru with a smile & a "thanks for stopping by Andy's; how are you today?". After a long morning, it really does make a difference. We hit the drive thru but from what we could see, the establishment was clean (they stay on top of things at Andy's). My husband ordered his favorite (the James Brownie--Vanilla custard blended with peanut butter and brownies & then filled with hot fudge) & said it was spot on perfect. The consistency is always amazing. Never too firm, but not liquidy, either. Andy is a man who knows what he's doing. And his custard never fails to meet--and exceed--the mark. Five stars, easy.
