The service at the Dave award location is junk. We have a very simple order, custard, light, hot, fudge, and pecans. Whoever the dark haired guy is with glasses is extremely incompetent at making concrete. He left all of the hot fudge cooped up down in the bottom corner, and put about three pecans in it. After being very unsatisfied, I took it back up for them to make me another one, and the guy only gave us a cup of pecans. Extremely unhappy with this location and will not come back. read more

I usually don't do reviews for franchises as I feel my opinion doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of bringing in business. I'm doing this review because I really enjoy the ice cream. I live in a space where I grew up with homemade ice cream at a parlour, so I'm very picky. This is not homemade yumminess BUT it is delicious in its own right. I personally prefer the vanilla scoop but the mixed concretes are fun as well. The ingredients taste fresh (key lime pie as an example) and the portions are adequate. What I like is the service. It's a bit weird you order right before the window then pay at the window but everyone is so friendly when I've gone. read more

There is exactly one thing to come out of Springfield, Missouri that's worth a hoot, and that one thing is Andy's Frozen Custard. Andy's has quite possibly the best frozen custard in the US and maybe the best single dessert treat on the planet: The Key Lime Pie Concrete. This place had the longest line when we pulled up so my sights were set high! And low and behold this place did not Disappoint! Even though the long line, Made us hesitant to stop. We then noticed that there is another portion where you can walk up in order and get your stuff right away which we opted to do. It took less than five minutes, from ordering to getting my order! Now let's talk about the taste! Talk about yummmmmm! This custard pretty comparable to the yummy ice creams and custards in Wisconsin! FYI Wisconsin is the dairy state so yeah! Any who I got the turtle sundae whole wife wife got the malt and our little just got vanilla' the portions are really nice size! But it should be for the price! Same great custard, different city! The hubs and I are super-fans! I had my first taste of Andy's in Jonesboro, AR and I've been hooked ever since! The hubs loves the the butter pecan concrete and I live for their root beer floats! The strawberry shortcake is pretty epic also! Fancy stylings aside, Andy's custard is the best I've tasted hands down!-- and I've tasted many a' frozen custard in my day! Although the custard is astoundingly good, that is one of the only redeeming qualities of the Dave Ward Andy's. I have never once been greeted with a smile and the employee's rarely listen to an order and make it correctly. I have tried to have an ounce of empathy but it's not that difficult to know the difference between chocolate and vanilla, especially when you're the only customer in line. read more

Andy's has the best ice cream of anywhere I've been, hands down. They have custard and concrete which is thicker than regular ice cream and they make it fresh in store everyday - and you can tell. It's more expensive than your regular ice cream but totally worth it. Staff is always super nice and helpful. Lines may look long at times, but they tend to move pretty quickly. read more

This place is a joke. I hate that it has come to our town. I went there one day received my order to get home and to find a fingernail in my custard. I called the location and the manager on duty was very rude to me and I was told that I could get my order remade. So I drive back up to there to find the African American manager drilling me about the fingernail in my custard. Not saying that she was sorry but stated that none of her girls have long fingernails. Basically calling me a liar to my face. They remade my order and handed something totally different then what I ordered. I was given my money back and I left with the wrong order. So a couple of minutes goes by and the manager calls me and said's they handed me the wrong order once again no I'm sorry. Nothing she is very rude. And I feel very sorry for the people who have to work for her. I will never go to this place again. read more
