I love getting dessert from Andy's!! The hardest part is deciding what to get. Luckily when it's seasonal fruit time the choice is easy. Today I decided on the Blackberry Waffle Jackhammer and it was delicious! Next time it'll be a new flavor only because I haven't decided on a favorite!. Since going no carb and no sugar over the last 2 years I rarely stray. But a friend was visiting from the UK so I indulged and took her to a few of my favourite places in OKC and, of course, couldn't leave out Andy's which has always been my one and only custard love in town. We were there around 9pm on a week day last week. I made sure we ordered at the front window rather than the drive-through so as to give my friend plenty of time to ponder because I remember my first time staring at the mind-boggling menu. Oh yes, the menu board was as gobsmacking as ever, service was as lovely as I remember, and the young lady that took our orders was cheerful and full of smiles. I ordered a large seasonal pumpkin pie concrete which was sooooo sooooo decadent! Creamy. Buttery. Pumpkinny. Luxurious. I'm in heaven just reliving the taste. It definitely wasn't overly sweet which was a plus. My friend got herself a bordeaux cherry chip, I believe. She was so upset later on that she had chosen a small ... lol I won't be leaving out Andy's if another cheat occasion comes up for sure! read more

I am usually an ardent Andy's fan! I only go to the one on NWEXP in OKC and have only ever been delighted with my choice and the nice people who work there. I haven't been to Andy's in several months but so asked my sister to pick me up a seasonal selection Chocolate cake sundae. When she brought it to me I thought for sure she had eaten half, but she hadn't. There was literally one small scoop of custard, half a pice of cake, 2 cherries and no hot fudge. It's the worse dessert I've ever received from there. I hope it means an untrained, new employee because Andy's won't last if it doesn't. read more

I am team Freddy's regarding chocolate custard (this matters for the story) but when my kid asks for Andy's I always hope the guy with major dad energy is at the window. He's always patient with me because I never know what to order (Freddy's gal, remember). Today he helped bounce around ideas and I left with a chocolate raspberry custard with a marshmallow and hot fudge core! My brother and I decided to drop by Andy's because we are getting one in Norman soon! We just had to see what it was like. They have a pretty extensive menu which is all desserts made with frozen custard. There were lots of people and lots of cars. My brother had some sort of berry sundae that he loved and I got a root beer freeze which I have not had since I was 16 when I worked my first job at an ice cream parlor. Root beer freeze is kind of like a root beer float except it's blended into a shake. The root beer simply replaces the milk in this case. They can also make one with Cream Soda. read more

I ended up trying the turtle.. let's face it, for a quick service by drive through for some delicious frozen custard, this seriously can't be beat. The store doesn't have any seating inside as it's solely drive through or walk up but there's some seating outside for those warm days. I always enjoy a turtle ice cream, but if I were to compare this to something similar to say Freddy's, Andy's beats Freddy's all day long. The creaminess of their frozen custard... sooooo velvety. Andy's has many types of sundaes and concretes. Today I had the cookie Casanova. It had vanilla custard, warm chocolate chip cookie, and choice of hot fudge or caramel. The cookies were good, but it didn't seem to have much custard, and what was there melted very fast, even though it was freezing out. (And fast even though the cookies were warm) I've tried multiple things at different times, I just wish the custard didn't melt so fast. My husband had the snow monster concrete, which he said was good. My son had a scoop of vanilla and chocolate. So, stop in, try it, there's something for everyone to try. read more

Service at this location was pretty fast today, I have been here before were there was a line of cars and I would have said it took too long. Staff was nice and conversational. Andy's is the best frozen custard hands down. This fast and friendly custard shop makes delicious ice cream creations! The concretes are delicious. I love adding peanut butter and Oreos to a vanilla concrete. YUM. The sundaes are killer and all of the concretes on the menu are really delicious. Whatever your favorite combo is, they will have it. I love that they also create seasonal specials to mix things up. It's a walkup counter, no inside seating but they do have some benches on the patio. There is also a drive through for extra convenience. My family loves this place and we will be frequenting it often this summer. I do like Andy's even though it's a bit overpriced for what you receive. I ordered a small apple pie concrete and although it tasted alright, it was nothing like advertised. The customer service here is always great and is much appreciated but when you pay $6 for a cup of frozen yogurt with barely anything inside then you feel kind of ripped off. I had amazing time last night! We stopped by for a quick stop before they closed at 11 pm! I have never been here before but I had saw it just a few days ago for the first time. My friend had mention it last night and took us there. My first experience was quite amazing! I was overall very happy with what I got. I ordered one of the brownie sundaes. It was just a bit sweet for me because of the chocolate syrup. The brownie was perfect but it has melted my ice cream which makes sense cause it was warm I had to hurry up and eat it before it was all melty! The flavors were absolutely great tho! My friends had gotten something with strawberries in it and it was SOOOO GOOD! I think next time I go, I would get that one. And my boyfriend ordered a mix of brownies, nuts, and peanut butter in his ice cream! That one was also really good if you like peanut butter or Reese's! See you soon again! read more

I have been to several of these locations in TX, OK & MO. They are very consistent in quality and service. My favorite is the Ozark Turtle sundae. Considering this summer has had many 100+ temperature days, it's hard not to be here everyday for a little break. Definitely worth the time to stop if you're in the area. read more

I really love custard, so I keep coming back with high hopes. The menu at Andy's is HUGE, and they've got an exceptional variety of toppings to offer or mix in. Unfortunately, every time I visit I'm left underwhelmed. The mixes/concretes/blizzards I've ordered have never really come to me well-mixed. It's also pretty pricey considering you're driving far from central OKC to visit. On my most recent visit, they also forgot to add one of the toppings. I know they were training someone but it's not a great impression to leave. I'm guessing their simpler things like cones or bars are easier to please. But when I pass multiple Braum's locations on my drive up, I hate to feel like I should've stopped at one of those instead of going all the way out for some custard. This little piece of Heaven just makes me so happy! My wife and I had a sweet tooth and we didn't want our usual (Braums) so we decided to try out Andy's. I am so glad! Although, it is a little more expensive... I think we paid around $35-$40 for a pint of ice cream and 4 concretes, it was definitely worth it! I had something kind of unusual, but I was in a chocolate covered pineapple mood so I got chocolate frozen custard and pineapple filling. It was so great! It hit the sweet spot right away! My Mom and Step Dad had a Rico Suave and loved it! My wife got a Snowmonster Concrete and also thought it was awesome!!! Ordering is different but makes it much more personal. There is a order board you can look at and choose what you want, then a second board and a girl with an iPad taking orders. She was super friendly and got our order right the first time! Incredible place! I'm so glad we have an Andy's in Oklahoma City and can not wait until their Edmond location opens! I came with my mom and ordered the Original Straw-Ana custard (strawberries and bananas) and she had the custom custard with strawberries only. My husband and I have gone to Andy's for the last few years since we discovered it when I used to live in Warr Acres. What we've noticed recently is that the staff has been a little short with us the last few times we've gone. They also don't listen to what we order, so little things like the type of cone we would like or if we even want our dessert in a cone or cup seems like a burden to them. Happy to have new places cropping up in this part of town. I love the design, and the idea of lots of outdoor space that hopefully gets people out of their cars and into the little courtyard, where maybe they'll interact with each other. I had a vanilla concrete with M&Ms (basically, my favorite Braum's mix) Here's what I liked - it was so cold, it didn't melt quickly, so I had time to eat it (and in theory, savor it) before it was a melty mess. But, the flip side is that made it so cold that the M&Ms were too cold to eat. I was actually afraid they were going to hurt me. So, lesson learned, next time I'll get something that isn't dangerous to eat when it gets that cold. But I also didn't love the overall flavor of the concrete. Next time, maybe I'll try cookies and cream or one of their signature concretes instead of trying to just turn it into my favorite Braum's mix. read more

I've loved Andy's for YEARS and glad they finally made it to OKC. It's all premium ingredients here! While my go-to item is an Andy's Ozark Turtle Sundae (and let me warn you the roasted pecans WILL make your eyes roll in the back of your head), I saw a Snowmonster Concrete head out the window right before my order and I made a quick change. And I am glad I did. Those melted choc. chips and strawberries hit the spot mixed with the creamy vanilla custard. OK I need to give you a few warnings: 1) The chocolate custard is so creamy and good, you may hurt someone if you have to wait too long. 2) The malts are so good, you might order one daily and turn into a truck. 3) The menu has enough interest you might lose a day of your life trying to decide. 4) The Turtle Split has so many amazing stars align, that I have never dared to order it for fear my head will explode. 5) Those ROASTED PECANS (see above) 6) The kids will have such a good time, you may have to leave them and pray they return home on their own (oooo, you can watch the staff make concretes through the window too!) 7) The drive-thru line can be so long at rush hour, you lose the will to live waiting to order that Apple Pie Concrete in the middle of winter. 8) The Yum Squad Rewards Card makes it so tempting to go back, I just might turn into a truck. (I think this is new...don't remember these cards during my Arkansas days...but 50 points and a free concrete? Heck yeah!) Thought I would warn you. Enjoy! Bring the kids and the dog and enjoy the all-outdoor experience.
