The first time we came, it was exceptional. I think it was the owner who was present and we bragged to everyone how great he was. The customer service WAS top notch and the ice cream is SO good. This time, the customer service was very undesirable and mediocre, at best. I'm so disappointed. For $50, I'd expect a little (a lot) more. They were more concerned with being on the phone than helping us (especially the younger girl with glasses). We did not use the kiosk to order, due to paying cash. We've been here a few times and the ice cream is sublime! To die for! Just the best ever. But when I tell you, the man, the one, the only, Jamal, knocked it out of the PARK with this serving. I lit up like a child on Christmas morning when I picked up my order. My smile was the biggest it has been in WEEKS. And after a few really hard weeks, it was much needed. Not a place I would return to again, and it has nothing to do with the service and everything to do with preference. The restaurant was clean, my friend and I came in about thirty minutes before they closed. The woman at the front allowed me to read the menu without presiding me which I really appreciated! There are tons of combinations to choose from, starting with your base which is a milk with or without flavoring. There is even a "vegan" option which I think is actually a lactose free base, and I chose that. Lactose free is not the same things as dairy free and it has taken me a long time to grasp that, but this visit made it abundantly clear for me! A vegan option would not have had my body reacting the way that it did, but again, it could just be me. It was cool watching them mix the ingredients together and smoothing it out, rolling it up. Quite different way to enjoy dessert. It just wasn't for me, I think I'd rather have a true sundae where my toppings are visible to enjoy. First time here. I ordered a Mississippi Mud for me and my family to share. We were uncertain before ordering whether that would be enough for four of us, but it was plenty. I liked how the chocolate cake got mixed into the ice cream in little bits. This is what I wanted to do as a kid when I had melted ice cream next to a slice of cake. However, I never thought to re-freeze the cake-ice cream mixture. Delicious! To customize, I would have liked to have had some instant coffee granules and/or cinnamon to experiment with different flavors on top. I also would have liked to choose between dark chocolate and milk chocolate ice cream. The serving sizes are also a point of contention. It's odd that this place only offers one serving size. I would gladly pay $3 for a serving that is 1/4 the size of this serving or $5 for a serving half the size of this serving. Sometimes you just want three or four bites of ice cream instead of a quart. If they offered these sizes, they could also offer flights of three to six flavors. That would be easier on your pocketbook and your health than ordering that many flavors for between $25 and $50. read more

It's a set price and you aren't charged by the weight which is nice. The menu was a little overwhelming with all the choices for the rolled flavors and add ons. 18 different options- each option had several flavors. We tried 4 different ones with toppings. Each had a nice flavor. It takes a little longer to make each one but we received them in a reasonable amount of time. Only 1 person working. My kids ordered the Candy Crush, Birthday Cake and S'Mores. We watched them make our ice creams and Candy Crush and Birthday cake were both the exact same both of my boys refused to eat their's because it tasted gross and honestly it looked like over colored "cotton candy" blue ice cream. My daughter ordered the S'Mores and she was the only one who liked hers, it appears to be Vanilla ice cream with a small amount of chocolate and graham cracker crumbs in the bottom. Over all it costs us $30 for 4 ice creams and 3 of them were quickly thrown away. We won't be returning. read more

Well, shoot. I wanted to love this place. The branding is so cute, and I love when something new and different opens out here by the lake, especially if it's something my kids might like. On the bright side, I guess it's good news for my Weight Watchers points that I'm not obsessed! So, I do have to say, the gal working the front register on Friday night was a doll. She was so sweet to my kids and so conscientious, if this were on Undercover Boss, they'd end up giving her $25K and a scholarship a car and crying together and stuff. She was wonderful. But the product just isn't outstanding. I can see how this is an amazing treat in Thailand, on a hot day, served on a steamy street corner - the miracle of ice cream without industrial coolers or storefront space. But here, in the shadow of three Roxy's homemade ice cream shops, not to mention about a billion Braum's, it seems unnecessarily labor intensive for the result. At least what I ordered, a vanilla base with different kinds of berries mixed in, yielded a kind crumbly, chalky ice cream. I ate about half, and then it was melty, back to the liquid form from whence it came. Our spoons had too much flexibility - we needed something a bit more firm to be able to dig into it. I can see how this might expand quickly, given the aforementioned low barrier to entry, but it seems like such a novelty and may need to make some adjustments to have real staying power. read more
