This is in the "Little India" enclave in Artesia…read more I just went there to check it out, but "Little India Village" was all closed at the time. It was 2/3rds occupied. It had a limited amount of variety in businesses. It was two-levelled & opened onto a centrally-located dining patio that connected the two sides on the second level. It was the only old, slightly run-down place now. The property lay-out in architectural design was pretty decent, it's just that it was not well-maintained. I ate & shopped nearby. "The Indian Restaurant" I give 4 out of 5 stars for bc the service is great, the restaurant looks nice & it wasn't too crowded, with the customers being respectable. However, the price is double what it used to be on an appetizer that I had that was similar to our crispy cheese fritters. I had tried that. That appetizer also could've been better as it was kind of dry. The spicy green, pesto-like dip made it worth it to off-set that tho. (4 sm squares used to be $5+, now it's $10+.) I really didn't like the salty yogurt drink. The chicken soup was kind of small in size & tiny cubes, but it was ok in its sauce. The shrimp main course was very generous with the jumbo-sized shrimp in number. The healthy brown rice had good seasoning & lots of sliced onion. Absolutely loved the garlic & buttery herb flat-bread-like side. Same for the nutty, creamy ice cream. Those 6 items I had there turned out to be $60 with tax & a small tip, so bar that 1 item, the over-all pricing wasn't too bad. I would therefore recommend it. Geographically speaking, this initially small area has expanded, that is it was 1/2 dozen blocks, but now it is 1 dozen blocks or so. For those who like to walk & explore it's not so bad. They wouldn't mind. It all being on Pioneer Blvd, a North-South main drag it's convenient. Everthing's within walking distance that way in a nice neighborhood that is very accommodating & well-developed. The businesses they have to offer are very diverse. I got a lovely handcrafted natural brown wood with design & lacquer that made it smooth mortar & pestle. It was only $10. It was a very curvy hour-glass shape. It was small in size so the price was reasonable. It was at a huge store that was mostly one that sold items for the kitchen. I knew what I was looking for so I was focused & it was a quick, right in, right out. The owner couple obliged me. On the whole my experience was favorable. I beg to differ with the the negative reporting on the history of the Indian ppl with the city in their Indian enclave & its less-than-fair treatment of customers. You almost always have mixed reviews of things. I think they've sought to change their bad reputation.

The cacio e Pepe was also tasty, not too much pepper but it need of more cheese. The salmon was well cooked and the kids pasta was a good portion. Service team was very attentive, love when the entire team assists. Parking is a hit an miss as this is location is shared with the mall and other restaurants like lazy dog, be patient or park a bit towards the back.

Used to be able to call Sheriff Dept and give info they'd provide a temp overnight parking permit. Now they've automated with online application and I've spent 3 hours trying to obtain an overnight parking permit. It's not working due to software issues & there's no one to assist after business hours. I Called Cerritos Sheriff and they said if you get a ticket take it up with parking enforcement. You'd think in an emergency situation for parking the city would have a go to plan for it's citizens. Very Disappointed how insensitive the City of Cerritos has turned into when it comes to assisting it's citizens in emergency circumstances.

During the holy/holidays of 2005, I experienced violent assault on my life: 42 stab wounds. I was in a coma for two months. My rehabilitation depended on multi factors. I could not drive anymore. Walking was the norm to daily mass, library, park, shopping, and then I discovered your center. I was so struck by the hospitality: in particular Teresa and Anna exuded warmth and empathy. Then I met Irene who recognized me from daily mass: loving joy+ I loved Cinco de Mayo celebration: wow...lunch & entertainment!!! Recently, I visited again, this time introducing another church member. I knew she was in for a treat. She, Maria, and her friend Maria, picked me up. Sure enough...IRENE and TERESA THERE WITH 10+++++++ VOLUNTEER RECEPTION. Then another surprise...Maria, extraordinaire Zumba instructor, was facilitating class. I first met Maria at neighborhood park; was so impressed with her energy and enthusiasm. I am now even more excited for my friend said she too is interested in the class and will drive us there. My miraculous life keeps getting better and better. So, Wednesday at HG Senior Center for Zumba/Lunch is on!!! I am also hopeful that my friend will be able to go to the computer class to get help with her smart cell phone. It is amazing how hard modern technology is! God Bless You All. With a very…read morespecial but also specific theme in mind, we were unable to find any traditional wall decor in stores that really matched our vision. That's when we decided to commission a mural through a professional and quickly connected with Jeannine at Hattas Public Murals on Thumbtack. We received a lightning fast response, and were immediately impressed with her level of professionalism and accomplished portfolio. After a short on-site consult to take measurements and notes, Jeannine and her team got to work, sending mock-ups (and a few revisions) that brought our idea to life, but also within our budget. The mural features a scene inspired from the book series ("The Prydain Chronicles"), a monogram, our son's name, and a quote from the author. Our son, like the hero from the books is also adopted, so the concept behind the design was especially emotional. Jeannine listened to our story with so much compassion and understanding, we were absolutely confident the execution of the mural would be flawless. Our instincts were spot-on. Once the final mock-up was approved, Hattas Public Murals delivered and installed a spectacular work of art that still brings tears to my eyes. In fact, calling it art is quite the understatement; it is an awe-inspiring and  immersive experience. Everyone who has stepped into our baby boy's nursery has been absolutely blown away, and are amazed by the love and care that can be found in every brush stroke. We could not be more in love with this mural, and the pictures attached simply cannot do it justice. Best of all, it was painted on canvas and applied like wallpaper, so it can be moved, preserved, and treasured for many years to come. We cannot begin to thank Jeannine and her team enough for making our nursery the most special room in our home; with a one of a kind mural that is just as unique and beautiful as our son, Taran. Not only will we recommend Hattas Public Murals to anyone and everyone for their creative decor needs, but we intend to commission Jeannine and her team for several future projects.

This was important to me. Jeanine took the time to listen to what I was looking for and suggested a few things to help grow my idea. I loved that. She came over and was so kind and really took time to understand this was more than just a job; this was something my kid is going to grow up with. She took measurements, and even took color swatches of the carpet and furniture to make sure we matched the color palette! She quickly mocked something up and a few days later I had a photoshopped mockup for approval. Once we approved it we setup a date and I paid the deposit. Marcus was the artist that was assigned to this project. He was so kind and wonderful in my home. He let my wife and I peek and see progress, and would check in with me if he had any questions. He's a really talented artist and executed my vision faithfully. At the end of the day my wife cried (with joy), we have our incredible mural and I couldn't recommend this company enough. Really pleased with how it turned out and I will be calling them again for my next mural or art project.
