The best stuffed schnitzel I've ever had. This place is somewhat limited seating, but I went early enough so that was not an issue. I started with a dark beer which was surprisingly (at least to me) quite good. For my meal, I ordered the Obazder Schnitzel which was stuffed with a cheese that I can best describe as a pimento cheese without the pimentos. It was amazing. Fully stuffed with that delicious cheese. On the side was your average spaetzle. Nothing different about this one. Large portions and reasonable prices served with friendly service makes this a must visit.
We specifically put this place on our destination list for Munich based on a YouTube video of recommendations and it did not disappoint! We ordered the spicy krabelgarten schnitzel, spicy goulash soup, side of spatzle, and apple streudel. The schnitzel was ENORMOUS and good, but not spicy. The goulash soup was also really good, but again, not spicy. The side of spatzle was a perfect pairing of the soup. While the apple streudel was good, it was supposed to be served with ice cream and it was quite literally served in a pile of melted and hot to the taste cream - I don't know if that was intentional or not, but hot cream was definitely a first for us and we would have preferred it in its traditional format.
The food is excellent and the portions are massive consider splitting an order . The service was good and the nice lady boxed our considerable leftovers. Th old fountain head behind the bar was impressive. It had an old charm vibe.
The best schnitzel in Munich, possibly the world! This place is awesome, just the schnitzel menu has about 10 varieties! I chose the one with savory cheese spread under the breading, it was a unique spin on the classic. I also went for spatzle instead of fries which was also delicious. Besides almost ridiculous portions, they also have draft beer (of course) and it comes in a ridiculous (1Liter) size as well! I've only been here once because I'm from the US so I can't comment on the rest of the menu. They did have quite the selection with another large section for just Cordon Blue! The place was packed on a Wednesday night and only accepts cash so be ready! If you want a schnitzel and some leftovers, definitely check'em out!

Andy's Krablergarten is renowned for its generous portions, and it's easy to see why. * Schnitzel XXL: This dish was nothing short of legendary. A golden-brown, breaded pork schnitzel the size of a dinner plate arrived at the table, crispy on the outside and tender within. Paired with a squeeze of lemon and a side of potato salad, it was pure comfort food bliss. Andy's Krablergarten isn't just a meal; it's an experience. From the lively ambiance to the impeccable service and the unforgettable food, it's a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic taste of Bavaria. Whether you're a local or a traveler, this spot leaves you with a full belly and happy heart (and food left over for lunch tomorrow!) A few things to keep in mind is that they DO NOT accept reservations - it's first come; first serve AND they are CASH ONLY so make sure you come prepared. But well worth it!
Went here for traditional German schnitzel and Andy's did not disappoint. Great patio/beer garden in the back. Giant servings of schnitzel. A great Munich experience
Andy's hands down has the best schnitzel. I got the mushroom cream sauce schnitzel with basmati rice. Sooo delicious and fresh. My husband got the spicy schnitzel with fries and really enjoyed it. Please note this restaurant is CASH ONLY.
Andy's Krablergarten, a nicely decorated German restaurant, was my first meal after landing in Munich. This was recommended by a fellow Yelp Elite friend, thanks Janice! The food portions were huge and shareable. The schnitzel, a thin cut of meat that is breaded then fried, was the star and staple dish. We also tried the rinderroulade, a beef roll with pickles and onions. Both dishes were good, but we preferred the schnitzel. Service was great despite a busy restaurant. The waitress spoke English and helped us with our order.
Such a lovely afternoon to sit outside and enjoy a nice warm evening with good food and friends. This was my first time to come to Andy's. My colleague has been many times, and had been raving about the food and experience. He said the staff is always very warm and welcoming. They always remember him and his standing order of schnitzel and fries with potato salad to go. We started off with Aperols- perfect for a warm summer evening. The portions are huge, so you will have plenty of food for the next day. He ordered a yummy mushroom sauce and a green peppercorn sauce as well. Our other gruel ordered the same. Both said it was amazing- both looking forward to lots of leftovers. I ordered a cheesey schnitzel with onions and a side salad. So delicious- the salad had a super yummy salad dressing on it. I hardly made a dent in my dinner. We have so much leftovers for tomorrow. This is such a friendly and welcoming place, I can see coming here often. Especially when the weather is nice and you can sit outside definitely will be back soon

Great authentic Bavarian German food. Friendly service a bit slow but they were packed tonight. The food is very large but very good. We shared a schnitzel as it was big enough for a family of four or five. Everyone happy with flavors and food , just took a while for service. This was my favorite restaurant for both schnitzel and kaiserschmarrn during my stay in Munich. The portions are HUGE so be sure to bring your appetite! read more

Stop me if you've heard this one: Two Americans walk into an authentic Schnitzel joint.... No punchline here, just Holy Schnitzel! First, the portions you get are like , what the Schnitzel? And then you take a bite, and it's like, I can't believe this Schnitzel! If you come here, you may have to wait a little bit, but that's a good thing, and this is some good Schnitzel. Ate here today, the food was good, just be careful when ordering that you really know what you are ordering. We do not speak German and we pointed to what we wanted, we thought we got what we ordered, but it was not and our bill was about $11 euros more than we expected. Also cash only, be careful with the closest ATM, it is expensive to use. read more
This place has very good food and gets fairly busy. The patio in back is very nice and would recommend sitting there if it's nice. They also do have English menus if your not good with German. Some of the servers know very little English but are very nice. The day I was there they only had two servers for the whole restaurant. It was a challenge to get the servers attention and took a long time to get my bill. I was on vacation so I didn't deduct a star because of that. It was not the servers fault, they just couldn't keep up. I would recommend going there right when they open and try to order very quickly. But a great place for huge Schnitzel and other typical German food. read more

We loved Andy's! Second night of our trip went there and ordered the Bavarian schnitzel and the hamburger schnitzel, devoured everything. Cancelled our dinner reservation on the fourth night and went back! Both got the Bavarian (it's amazing) and then had the kaiserschmarrn for dessert. Do not skip it, it was amazing! Service was great, we stood in line both nights for less than 30 minutes so don't let the line scare you. It is cash only so come prepared! read more

Best schnitzel in Munich by far. The portions are huge; one order will easily feed 2 hungry people. There was a lot of construction going on outside when we went, but I imagine the ambiance is lovely when that's not happening. The outside area is spacious and cute and the beers were fast and cold. This was by far the best place my mom and i ate in Germany. We got the schnitzel with the mushroom sauce that came on the side. I also ordered the potato salad which was served cold with thinly shaved cucumbers. Food was a large portion enough for 2 people to share with leftovers. Service was great and Biergarten style outside. read more

We had an amazing dinner and wonderful time at Andy's Krablegarten. It was off the beaten path for tourists and tucked into a neighborhood. The concierge tried to persuade us to try a different restaurant but we did not waiver and were able to experience the most incredible schnitzel that any of us have ever had. When we arrived we decided to sit outside and enjoy the weather. The outdoor patio is shaded with lots of trees and set up with several tables. There were twinkle lights above us that created a very relaxing atmosphere. The service was outstanding in every area. For dinner the four of us decided to have schnitzel. The menu was extensive with may different options. Each serving is super thin and enormous. All of the schnitzel sits on a bed of wonderfully crispy french fries. We added red cabbage for all of us to try and it was incredible. read more

5 star review if you visit the establishment twice in one week. We all stuck with the schnitzel and tried all different flavors both visits. There wasn't one flavor of schnitzel that wasn't good. Service was great and beer was cold! read more
I went here in December as a part of my trip to visit a bunch of the Christmas markets in Germany and Austria. I ate Schnitzel every chance I got. We found this place partially by chance, because the place we initially wanted to go to was closed for a private function. I googled for the best schnitzel in a reasonable area and my fellow elites pointed me in this direction, and I thank them so much for that! Let me tell you, this is by far, the very best I've ever had. I still remember it and crave for it all the time. The mushroom cream sauce is to die for... There is so much flavour! The schnitzel is crisp and the size of your head! I wish I had the stomach capacity to finish an entire piece, and I came so very close! I'm an avid fry lover and I sacrificed fries to eat more schnitzel! When we got there.. The place was jam packed, but they still made room for us immediately. They were so accommodating! The service was impeccable for the crowd they had. If I could go back, I'd be here weekly! If you're debating this place, stop. Just go. Try the schnitzel with mushroom sauce. You won't regret it! read more
