Owner tried to swindle me. Prices way higher than retail on the good stuff. If you drink 1942, go 5 minutes up the street and save $100

Pretty decent selection of bourbon but WAY overpriced. Prices were well over secondary market prices.

They carry a wide selection of craft beers and the manager (Rocky) is awesome and always recommends new beers for him to try.

I must admit that I am not a beer connoisseur, but more of a beer apprentice. So unfortunately, I…read morecannot fake knowing what I am talking about when it comes to beer and the selection available at this location. I will say that I did a selection and price comparison to another growler store a couple of miles away, and The Beer Growler was not only cheaper, but it offered significantly more options. The store itself is a delightful hodgepodge of eclectic interior design - owls, interesting artwork, clearly labeled tap selection on a giant blackboard. But I must say the selling point of this particular location would have to be the service. It was serviced by an all-woman staff, and as a woman, this was a very attractive quality. These girls know about beer, and it was so refreshing to see women run the place because every other growler shop I have been to have been all-male staff. One thing I am not a huge fan of is the fact that we had to pay for samples. I haven't had to do that at other growler type shops. We ended up getting the Wild Heaven, which provided a lot for the money. One of my favorite beer is the KT Bourbon - excellent, rich, and so much substance to it. Will be stopping here again!

After a shift working with soul-crushing low-IQ managers we would go to the trailer across the street and buy a gallon of Meister Brau freshly tapped into a plastic jug. That beer jug got me through a bad time. Luckily we don't do that anymore. The Beer Growler is nothing like those dark days. Here you will find 35 or so of the best beers available in Georgia ready for you to take home in 32 or 64 ounce bottles. You can spend a little or a lot but you can surely get something really tasty. Go for it!

I'm thrilled to share that I finally stopped by Brick Store Pub last Friday! I've visited Downtown…read moreDecatur Square countless times and walked past this spot over and over but this time, I got lucky and made it in for a drink. Brick Store Pub is an incredible place. The staff are fantastic, personable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. They really know their craft and are happy to share recommendations on both drinks and food. The ambiance adds so much to the experience, I recommend you to come and relax on the patio or grab a seat at the bar. There's such a great vibe all around that makes you want to stay awhile. If you're in the area, definitely stop by, you'll enjoy every bit of the atmosphere that Brick Store has been giving all this time. I will be back!

Been a long time since I'd been to the Brick Store Pub, maybe pre Covid? Was meeting friends for…read morelunch and tried to call to make a reservation since there were 6 of us for a Saturday and there was going to be a music festival that afternoon. Got a text back saying they don't take reservations, it's first come, first serve, but they would do what they could to accomodate us. 4 of us were seated and we had 2 more coming before we wanted to order. The wait staff was attentive, making sure we had our beverages and if we needed anything before the 2 arrived. Once they arrived, the staff gave us a few minutes to make sure the 2 had a chance to look at the menus. We ordered appetizers to start...corn bread, sage fried pierogies and poutine. We weren't sure about the poutine because we didn't see any gravy, we did see the cheese curds on the fries, but once we finally dug in, the gravy was at the bottom. The pierogies were tasty. We asked if they could cut the cornbread so each of us could get a taste, which they did. Corn bread had a toasted texture, and the honey butter was delicious! Everyone ordered something different. One had fish and chips, which would seem to be a likely order for a pub. Their special for the day was a ruben. Another ordered a falafel sandwich, and I think 2 salmon BLT's and then one salad with rainbow trout. Portions were not overwhelming, but we realized that we were full from the appetizers and almost everyone ended up taking most of their main choices in doggie bags (boxes). As time got closer to the festival to start, it did get crowded, but the staff handled the influx of people and people were seated relatively quickly. This was a nice destination as most of the group live a drive from Decatur. Lovely afternoon visit!
