Went to get some steaks for the holiday bbq on 5/24/24....and again, the food looks fantastic, but the customer service is awful. The place is clean, and everything is neat. The varieties of food look fresh. You can't go wrong with any choice. Chicken is delicious and so is the teres major steak ($15.98 new to me). However, I seem to get the most miserable employee, Joe. Not even a hello and slaps the food on the scale. Doesn't make you want to return. read more

I stopped by and got some chicken with veggie kobobs, chicken wrapped in bacon kobobs, and some sausage sliders. The kobobs were already seasoned, so I grilled them up, and they all tasted good. The place is clean and has a variety of meats. I'll go back and try other meats. read more

I have been buying from Andy's since 1999. I live on the same block 1. Good Quality Meat. But Pricey! 2.Never have 80/20 chopmeat always have to buy 93%. Not cool. 3. Frozen meatballs cost $5.49 a lb on 4/14/20 then on 5/13/20 price went up to $6.98, gouging? (See the pic) 4. No delivery to me even on same block! Get a kid to deliver or a 3rd party company, i.e Grub Hub, Door Dash etc.. My rating is for general quality of product only, a lot needs improvement! read more

I have a potluck dinner tom night and i am making pulled pork in my crockpot. I went to Ivarone Brothers to get the meat. They where sold on. So my girlfriend said to check Yelp to see what Butcher shops are open in New Hyde Park Area. I called Andy and he said he was closed. I told him a needed a pork butt for tom night. He asked me where i was. I told him i was in Lake Success shopping center. Which is 5 mints away from his store. He told me has was going to be there for 15 more mints. My girlfriend and I drove there and we got an 8lbs porkbutt for a great deal. He did me a huge favor and im so grateful for it. That is great customer service. read more

I recently moved into this neighborhood and since I am a first time home buyer as a result of this, grilling has become my new favorite hobby! I was tired of getting ripped off at the supermarket and to be quite honest, haven't gotten around to preparing my meats. I mean really, when you've just purchased a house and you're trying to put it in order who has time to cut and season the meat for all of your friends??? Enter Andy's butcher shop! These guys have every type of meat you can imagine...and its seasoned already for you. All you have to do is walk in, tell them what you want and try not to crash getting back to your house to grill! Awesome kebobs, chicken kabobs, chicken and bacon kebabs, turkey and bacon or filet mignon kebabs...all of them rock. They have chicken wings, buffalo wings, pork chops, ribs, skirt steak, tbones, porterhouses, burgers, lamb chops...hungry yet? And like I said before...all of it seasoned. What's even better is if you give them notice of a huge purchase, they will prepare it for you and package it all neatly for your scheduled pickup. Really nice guys to work with and all of it for pretty much the same cost of meat at the supermarket. The key difference though is that they have done all of the work for you. Just shop and grill! Now as the whether has gotten cooler, I've noticed that their selections have started to change a bit. Sure you can get all of the grillable items, but they started to include pot roasts and whole chicken which would make sense to cook in your oven and not the grill. Bottom line...get your meat here! This is old school butchery at it's best. My entire family loves this place. Amazing house made sausages (try the chicken sausage pinwheel, it'll knock your socks off!) Also, the house made hamburgers are ridiculously good. You will never buy a box of burgers again. This place has been around forever, and the reason is the customer service level is superb. Things don't get much simpler. Call in your order...maybe a day ahead of time if you are getting something they may not stock (today I called in my normal 10 lbs of chicken breast, but added a whole untrimmed brisket, bacon, and raw pork belly so I can cure and make my own bacon). You walk in, say who you are, pay, and are out the door in 10 minutes or less. Compare this to hunting and pecking through the grocery store and dealing with lines! Also solid "pre prepared" meats. Pinwheels, meat sticks, things wrapped in bacon.... Especially around the summer for grilling this should be your go to spot.
