I strongly regret my parents' decision to hire Tax Network USA.
My mother and father paid approximately $6,000 to Tax Network USA to handle their IRS tax issues and attempt to resolve their tax debt. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely frustrating from the beginning.
After my father passed away, we tried to work with the company to determine what had actually been done on my parents' case and whether a refund was appropriate. Instead of simply continuing from the work that had already been completed, we were asked to provide new financial information and essentially go through another process.
We eventually requested a refund. Tax Network USA's position was that they had performed enough work that a refund was not owed.
At that point, I did not simply take their word for it. I asked them to provide the documentation showing exactly what work had been performed for the approximately $6,000 that my parents paid.
During my last conversation with the company, I was told that their Quality Assurance Manager was reviewing the case and removing certain items that they determined should not be included, so that the amount of work and time attributed to the case would accurately reflect what was actually done. I was told that even after that review, their position was still that we were not entitled to a refund.
I said that was fine -- if that is their position, then show us the work.
I requested the remaining documentation supporting their conclusion, including the work performed, case notes, communications, documents prepared or submitted, time attributed to the case, and anything else they were relying upon to justify retaining the $6,000.
I was told this information would be provided.
It wasn't.
I followed up again. Nothing.
I followed up again. Still nothing.
My last conversation with them was on July 2, 2026. It is now September, and despite repeatedly requesting the documentation, I still have not received what I was told would be provided.
This is not about expecting a company to guarantee a particular IRS outcome. I understand that tax resolution is complicated and that there is no guarantee that a tax debt can be eliminated.
My issue is that Tax Network USA is retaining approximately $6,000 of my parents' money while refusing to provide the documentation I have repeatedly requested showing what work was actually performed and how they determined that no refund is owed.
If you are considering hiring this company, I strongly recommend that you do your research, understand exactly what you are paying for, and get everything in writing before giving them a substantial amount of money.
For my family, the lack of communication and follow-through has been extremely disappointing. When a company is dealing with people's tax problems and collecting thousands of dollars, I believe customers deserve transparency, documentation, and timely communication.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend Tax Network USA.
I am posting this review because I believe other consumers deserve to know about our experience before making the same decision we did.
