My husband and I signed with Angel Adoption hoping for guidance, advocacy, and consistent support during one of the most emotionally vulnerable times of our lives. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of what was promised. Communication was extremely poor. While Angel later claimed they reached out regularly, those messages were generic, automated emails that every family receives -- not personalized communication addressing our specific situation or questions. There were long stretches where we heard nothing meaningful from our Adoptive Parent Coordinator. When we were presented with potential birth mother situations and asked follow-up questions for clarification or guidance, we were told to simply "re-read the information sent earlier." That response was dismissive and incredibly frustrating, especially given how complex and emotional adoption decisions are. We were also supposed to receive cumulative reports showing how often our profile was being shared and what efforts were being made on our behalf. We had not received a cumulative report since July, with no explanation provided. This lack of transparency made us feel completely in the dark about what, if anything, was being done. Overall, we were given very few opportunities and felt there was little active advocacy on our behalf. Frankly, it feels like we paid primarily for a profile book and basic marketing placement, not the ongoing coordinator support we were led to expect. Ultimately, we were matched independently through an attorney -- not through Angel Adoption -- and we now have our baby home. We are incredibly grateful for that outcome, but it happened entirely outside of Angel's efforts. Our attorney also advised us that under no circumstances should adoptive parents communicate directly with birth mothers without legal or social work representation due to serious legal risks, including the possibility of disruption. This guidance directly conflicted with expectations we experienced through Angel, which was concerning. When we expressed our dissatisfaction and requested reimbursement due to lack of meaningful support, Angel Adoption simply stated they had fulfilled their contract and refused any refund, without addressing the communication failures, missing reports, or minimal opportunities provided. Adoption is not just a business transaction -- it's emotional, legally complex, and life-changing. Families deserve personalized support, transparency, and advocacy. Sadly, that was not our experience here. We share this so other families can make fully informed decisions before committing significant time, money, and emotional energy. read more

We spent 2 years working with Angel Adoptions. First and foremost, they are not an Adoption Agency. They are a marketing firm that supports potential adopting families. They are not well versed in customer serve, compassion, or caring. When things were going well, it was nice, when things were going bad, it was awful working with them. They didn't answer phone calls or voicemails; we could never get a hold of the directors. We had to switch "case managers" because ours was not professional.  We had a miscarriage at 6 months, and they never reached out to offer comfort or support.  One of our potential birth mothers had a language barrier and they would not acknowledge this need for additional support. They don't spend time with you listening, they instead send you to a website and 'articles" which are ineffective. Once we finally knew we were entering the final stages of an adoption, we asked our case management agency to tell them to not communicate with our adoptive mother as they were actually making things worse for us. I would not trust them, nor would I give them any money. Their marketing profile is work I could have done as a layperson on Canva. Adoption is a hard enough process as a straight couple not able to bear children. As an LGBTQ couple, they lacked inclusivity, understanding and awareness of the additional hurdles we faced. While they weren't discriminatory, they definitely thought they knew more than they did and were not interested in listening when they should have been open to learning. read more

My husband and I had a long and tough journey to adoption. We chose Angel knowing they weren't an agency but just advertising. I was naive and thought Angel would help get in touch with an actual agency but they do not, it's basically all on you. Basically all they do is market and make a profile and they barely do that. The profile they made was fine but that is basically all they do, there is nobody to advocate for you and they give robotic answers. We were with them for a year, kept questioning why we were getting views but nobody was even interested to talk to us and all they could really say was it takes time and open up preferences, which works if not getting presented which means preferences too narrow but not why nobody wants to even talk to you. We took a break after an opportunity fell into our lap elsewhere but unfortunately failed. After returning, it was the same nonsense . I was curious about how common it was to get so many views, above what they say is average, opened up preferences but could not even provide a basic, "this is common or this is unusual " or any guidance about why or what to do other than again opening up preferences. We did finally match but unfortunately due to lack of vetting and not being an agency, by the time it was caught i felt in too deep. I had already spoken with the birth mom a bunch of times. The way she spoke to the actual agency was totally different and saw the red flags immediately but we decided to proceed out of desperation. After about 4-6 weeks after our first payment to her, she ghosted us, only to return but only to the agency to ask for her next payment early. She was high risk and refused to go to the md . She was going before she got paid. Angel was willing to let us rematch but honestly did not seem overly concerned about a possible scam. We left after this and matched elsewhere and had the baby in our arms around the time that birth mom was due. The biggest issues with Angel is feels very robotic and they could use a human touch along with better matching techniques than they use. They really need to get medical records verified before matching birth moms but can't because they aren't an adoption agency, just marketing. Having more of a 2 way street where prospective adoptive parents can look at profiles to see if they think they would click with the birth mom would beneficial too. This can be through the coordinator and with a human element could then decide if they should present the profile. My best guess of why we were presented so often but no interest is when we opened up preference, we were presented to people who while we met their criteria probably had nothing in common and were probably never going to chose us. read more

My wife and I will forever be thankful for angel adoption. our journey was not easy- we had many bumps along the way, but Angel was always by our side helping us and guiding us. we would recommend Angel adoption to anyone who is looking to adopt or even find a family to match with. our best advice is to keep the faith, which actually is advice we got from angel! my favorite thing about working with angel is the friendships that were made. angel gets to know you as a person, they are there to celebrate your wins and pick you up with your losses (even those that are not adoption related)! read more

I wish I could give a positive review but I would strongly encourage anyone pursuing adoption to work with an attorney privately or an agency who has already confirmed birth mothers decision to adopt. I spent most of the time I had a contract with Angel being a social worker to women who were a) not even pregnant b) lying about their identify and/or c) definitely not interested in placing a baby up for adoption. For several months, we have been contemplating whether or not to post a review, and after much discussion, we decided it was necessary, given the circumstances.  We regret not having been more thorough in our search for the right adoption agency because once we signed our contract and paid the nonrefundable fee of $18,000, we later learned that Angel Adoption is not an adoption agency, but rather, an advertising agency.  As we started our process with Angel Adoption, we were told by them that they have a 95% placement within two years, and this sounded quite promising.  However, we were discouraged after seeing hundreds of other couples on their Website, and as time progressed, we felt like a number lost in the shuffle. As our contract was close to expiring after two years with no success, we asked for a free extension because of COVID.  Angel Adoption did not agree to an extension.  Moreover, we were informed by Angel Adoption that COVID had not slowed anything down and that placements were still occurring, but the social worker who was assigned to our case told us just the opposite--that Lutheran Child Family Services (LCFS) had only one placement for the entire year (LCFS is the social services organization that works with Angel Adoption during the placement process as well as the organization that conducts home studies).  This discrepancy was deeply troubling to us, and it was clear that there was dishonesty.  It became even more clear that Angel Adoption's priority was in collecting money instead of helping us achieve our dream of becoming parents. Our intention in posting this review is to inform couples or single folks who are reading reviews and not knowing what to do.  RG Adoption Consulting has come up time and time again as a highly recommended adoption agency to work with, and several people we know have had success with them in a short period of time.  Our social worker even recommended this agency when we asked for a referral.  RG Adoption Consulting works with multiple adoption agencies at once, so the chances of being connected with birth mothers is significantly higher.  As Maya Angelou once said, "When you know better, do better." read more

We worked with Angel for 27 months. This review cannot possibly cover all of the frustrations we had in working with them, but I'll just provide some information. We were matched with four birth mothers and "connected" (meaning attorneys were hired) in three of them. We never had a successful placement. That is not directly their fault, though they do not do anything to determine whether a birth mother genuinely wants to place before they contact you (they don't even confirm pregnancy or a due date prior to contacting you). When you are informed that a birth mother has selected you, very little information is provided, and they require you to make a decision based on limited information. They say they can answer questions but weren't ever able to actually answer a question and instead referred us to adoption professionals in the birth mother's state. This includes relatively basic information, such as whether the state allowed expectant mother support or how much that might be. This seems like relatively basic information for them to have, given that they work in all 50 states. As part of the connection process, we called a social worker in one state and a lawyer in another state. We were referred to each of them by Angel. The social worker stated that Angel matched birth mothers and adoptive parents much earlier than their agency. They did not make matches until the third trimester because birth mothers often changed their mind toward the end of a pregnancy. The attorney called Angel a "scam," stating that they never had sufficient information regarding birth mothers. They said that after multiple referrals from Angel, only one resulted in a successful adoption. I could go on, but this is a snapshot of some of our experiences. No one at Angel seemed knowledgeable regarding the adoption process or what it was like as a potential adoptive parent. We had been told our contract would be extended for free after two years, but that was not the case. Please work with anyone else. Adoption is a tough road. When you walk it, it should be with caring, knowledgeable professionals. We were referred to other agencies by an adoption professional. They are Nightlight Christian Adoptions, Mustard Seed Adoption Consultants, and Gladney Center for Adoption. read more

We had a great experience with Angel Adoption. We adopted our miracle baby girl in 15 months. We started off with their onboarding classes which were super helpful. Then went on to our adoption counselor who was awesome! We are so happy that after 4 years of infertility we were able to start our family. We would most definitely recommend them! read more

I am not one to leave bad reviews. If I have a bad experience usually just leave it alone but after doing more researching and learning that I am not alone in my experience, this one has to be said. We have had a horrible experience with Angel Adoptions. At the very end of our contract, only after reaching out about what happens when our contract expires, we suddenly get a phone call about an opportunity an hour later after having no interest in our profile for over a year. After getting more information we felt uneasy about the situation because we had some bad experiences in the past through other adoption journeys. We had followed their direction every step of the way. We said yes to every opportunity presented and still talk regularly with one of the birthmothers who ultimately decided to parent. We were supportive to all the birth mothers we had talked with and fully trusted the process for almost 2 years. We had some concerns about the most recent opportunity presented to us and thought we might need some help working through it. We thought we would be validated and also be supported in the process but we were dead wrong. We were pressured to move forward with this opportunity regardless of our concerns and made to feel that we didn't matter in this situation. Instead of helping us work through our worries we were left to decide on our own and then pressured to go forward after we made it clear we weren't comfortable. We were sent an almost threatening email stating "As you are nearing the end of your contract, this could be your last opportunity." Worth noting when we signed on we were told if we reached the end of our contract without placement, they extend contracts as long as you haven't been verbally abusive to their staff. We had not been verbally abusive to anybody but it was made clear at that point we wouldn't be getting that extension. When we expressed concern that we weren't emotionally or financially available for what we felt would come from this situation we were sent another mail saying we would get more information if we just paid the $750 in counseling for the birth mother. We have had some experience with a birth father situation with a previous adoption and this one seemed similar so we had some questions before we were willing to invest financially and emotionally. We responded that we were feeling overwhelmed with this process and honestly weren't sure how we wanted to move forward because of all our bad experiences. Our profile was removed that day, while we still had time left on our contact, without our knowledge or clarification that this was what we wanted to do. We were just hoping for to vent and hopefully get some guidance. Prior to this opportunity, we were matched with a girl for a few months. We later found out through the agency in her state that she was working with that they found out through her doctor's notes that she had never intended to place and we lost over $15,000. Although Angel only matched us with this girl and this scam wasn't their fault, it was still disappointing how unsupportive and mostly discouraging to hear "Well sometimes it happens but it's important not to be jaded." We know that there is no guarantee for a baby when signing on but I still would have left this review even if we ended up with a baby. We were ill prepared for what we were signing on with. We realize looking back we were given sales pitch like answers to any of the questions we had about placement rates and scam rates. We spent over $33,000 and were offered minimal support and discarded when we expressed concern, hesitation or turning down an opportunity being presented to us. I would definitely not recommend Angel or any other matching only agency. read more

I had a horrible experience with this agency and wasted my $18,000. I posted my reviews a year back with no response from the agency. We were told only 2% do not match after 2 years. As adoptive parents, we had the best experience with Angel. They were very helpful and supportive of our journey which led to the adoption of our daughter (from birth) from out of state. We originally selected Angel because of their national network rather than other organizations that were only within the state. We also liked how all the costs were listed up front included estimated lawyer costs. We found a lot of other organizations cost more and had hidden costs. Angel guided us along the adoption process as well as gave us space to determine what our adoption journey should look like. It was a smooth process after signing with Angel - they referred us to LCFS for the home study and once a birthmother selected us, Angel referred us to the lawyer. The hardest part of the adoption process is the long wait to be selected by a birthmother, but Angel kept following up with supportive resources, check-ins, and suggestions for updating our profile. In the end all the waiting and paperwork was worth it! If you are reading this review, its really up to a birthmother to select your profile by feeling some sort of connection - Angel tries their best to get everyone placed within 2 years but there's going to be some that unfortunately take longer to be selected which is out of Angels hands...be patient and your time will come too! read more

We signed with Angel because they assured us most families adopt within 2 years. They said they only take a limited number of families as to give the families a chance and keep the percentage of adoptions up. We quickly learned this was not the case. As far as marketing goes, they shared us on FB once. They recently came out with a section on their site where a mother can plug in her preferences and families pull up according to the mothers needs. My husband and I tried it to see if we pulled up. We limited the area to our specific area, and the criteria to us..we never pulled. We informed Angel of this and they did correct it, but admitted no fault. They said our profile was pulling the whole time...it wasn't. We know it wasn't. We spend entirely too much time trying to get our profile to pull, to know. So out question was, how much did we pay? How long has our profile not pulled? Never got an answer, as no fault was admitted. Every birth mother we were connected to found us on their own, through the website. And the site has a massive sea of profiles that are being added to almost daily. We felt like it was a miracle anyone found us at all. We were told my a few mother's they were frustrated because they told Angel what they were looking for and our profile was NEVER given to them, again they found us on their own. We had a mother reach out to us, outside of the agency. We directed her to Angel, hoping she would get support and be vetted. Angel contacted the quad A attorney in the mothers state. The attorney told Angel she worked with the mother for months, until a week before the mother reaching out to us. She had been matched with another couple. The attorney said it didn't work out because 1) she refused to provide proof of pregnancy 2) she became verbally and emotionally abusive to the hopeful adoptive parents and 3) wished death upon the HAP child they currently had in their home. The attorney's recommendation to Angel was to inform us, as to avoid being emotionally scammed and potentially out of thousands in attorney fees. We were "matched" on a late Friday afternoon. By the time we heard back from the agency the attorney had left the office. We left a VM for the attorney to call us on Monday. At this time, Angel never told us anything except the attorney worked with this mother before. But Sunday things had gotten bad and I told the mother we were not interested in pursuing the adoption, as she had been verbally abusive and brought our child into her insults. Our child she had never met. We tried reaching out to our "advocate" and there was no answer. We emailed and filled them in and left it at that. This whole "were here 24/7" is nonsense. We understand there are business hours but they knew this could happen and likely would. (We didn't get a reply to the email we sent Sunday until the following Wednesday.) The attorney sent an email to Angel that day, on Sunday, cc'ing us in saying the mother "called my cell phone and told while laughing you all fell for it" "per our earlier discussion and my recommendation, this opportunity no longer should be pursued". Imagine our surprise when we discovered Angel knew this was a possibility and never told us. The attorney spoke to my husband on Monday and said she gave Angel her cell and told them to give it to us. She said she told them she was leaving the office but wanted to speak to us that evening and for us to call her cell. We never had her cell. So they knew and they didn't warn us. They had information, they had a cell number they were TOLD to give us and didn't, and we didn't even get a reply until the following Wednesday. They shared us once, they don't really market. We have no issue with our adoptive parent advocate as they were out if town then this happened. But we didn't hear from them either until that next Friday, not mentioning anything that happened, but saying to extend your contract we need more money. We ended up going with Angel for 3 years in total and it was mostly a waste of time. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend them. They DO have some wonderful people working for them. But overall, it was horrible. They don't screen the birth mom's at all. You'd be better going it alone, truly. You get what you pay for. Pay more money to another agency. They will support you, the mother, and will see to it everything is taken care of. read more

I would not even give them a 1 star. This company has left us hopeless and broke! We sent a check for $18,000 and for what!? A page or a pamphlet designed by them, which was awful. My sister a graphic designer could have done a better job. We had a zoom call and they made us believe they would be amazing. We were with them for two years and they stated the average time would be 12 months. AND ALSO IF WE WERE IN GOOD STANDING THEY WOULD NOT CANCEL OUR CONTRACT. But of course it was time to renew and they wanted to extend another 2 months. 2 MONTHS are you kidding me. We would have gotten our home study done AGAIN for the 3rd time, and if anyone knows about them you know they cost us about $800 every time! ALSO not to mention we probably went through about 2-3 different adoption point of contact (not sure what you would call them) and the last one we had was OUT FOR OVER 3 MONTHS and we were unable to have a call with her. Please avoid this agency at any cost . my Husband and I have been with them for 2 years and all we heard was false promises. not even one true connection with expected mother. the only mode of communication was 2 lines email explaining how many times expected mothers review our profile . i truly believe the statistics they provide about more than 98 percent chance of matching is not accurate. highly suggest going with a true agency that can connect you with expected mother and at least provide you with proof of pregnancy . read more

I adopted as a single mother through Angel Adoption, but I would NEVER work with them again or refer any friends/family to them. When you go for your initial interview, they win you over. Sharing similar stories about the owners being adoptive parents so you feel a connection to them. Once you give them your check, its on you to figure out the rest. I ran into a disturbing situation in my adoption and Angel was no zero help, zero support and zero guidance. Please do yourself a favor and go through Everlasting Adoptions. While we are happy to see that Angel Adoption has helped a lot of couples to successfully adopt, our experience was not that great. They were very eager to sign us up, and we went through a typical experience of being very anxious and excited to becoming very jaded with the entire process that eventually felt like a business transaction of unsuccessfully buying a child. When we became frustrated with zero connections being made to the birth mothers, and asked how can we improve our profile, the answer was that it might help to offer a bit more money to potential birth mothers. Almost two years later, we terminated the contract, lost $20,000, and received a letter from the agency wishing us 'good luck in our life'. The worst is that it left us very jaded towards the entire adoption process of going through an agency. read more

We started our journey of adoption by researching agencies. Angel had been used by an acquaintance of ours, so they were on our short list. Out of the local agencies we spoke to/visited, they seemed to be the best bit for us. Every person we spoke to was kind, compassionate, and genuine. We were fortunate to be connected quickly with our daughter's birth mom, who also had a great experience with Angel. I wish we would have read the bad reviews before moving forward. In retrospect, I feel very stupid. Angel Adoption is understaffed, and overpromises things that they know they don't have the manpower to fulfill. They take advantage of you with all of the 'grey areas' that are left out of the contract for their benefit. They are not in the business to create families; they are simply in business. If you would like to hear our experience, please continue: After being connected with a birthmother, we were told that we could immediately schedule a call with our adoption coordinator. YAY! This was really it! The moment we have been waiting for!! Spoiler alert...*Unfortunately, it was not 'yay.' She was booked out 6 weeks for a 15 minute call, which unbeknownst to us, is standard for adoption coordinators at Angel Adoptions (insert Adam Sandler from 'The Wedding Singer'.. 'Things that could have been brought to my attention YESTERDAY'... or prior to sending a check worth almost twenty thousand dollars). That did not feel supportive, and I would have never chosen Angel Adoptions if this had been disclosed in our contract. Looking back, this seems almost comically cruel to expect adoptive parents to wait for this duration of time. Our coordinator told us that her preferred method of communication was text or call. After respecting this, we did not receive a response for 72 hours because 'she took a half day on Friday' (off at 10:30 am) for their holiday party. We were literally ghosted in the middle of a conversation. We were told by Amanda that 'you can't set up auto respond text messages'...which is why we were left ignored for 3 entire days- I didn't know how to respond to that, because she was clearly in an argumentative state of mind, and sharing that 'you actually can [and out of respect for your clients, probably should have a clear set of communicative alternatives for instances like this] set up an auto text response' seemed both inappropriate and unproductive. We were given excuses for the lack of support we received, but the biggest shock was a text from the b-i-r-t-h-m-o-t-h-e-r stating that our birthmother's coordinator wanted to know if we wanted to move forward. That's right- The birthmother sent us a text message stating that HER coordinator wanted to know if we wanted to move forward, because she couldn't get ahold of us. What in the high school gossip is going on at this place? This was so unprofessional, and this immediately felt gossipy and dirty. Why a birthmother would have been put in a position of 'the middleman' to communicate information that is supposed to be relayed between adoption coordinators is beyond my comprehension. Amanda (the woman we spoke to, because our adoption coordinator was too busy to talk to us) was very defensive, nor was she even toned when we spoke. I understand feeling defensive over a company that you work for, but responding in ways like 'we have been doing it this way for 25 years, and we aren't going to change it' is a very emotionally neglectful and hurtful response. As the person reading this is aware, adoptive parents are in such a vulnerable place when you are signing a $18,200 check to an adoption agency that promises you the world. We thought we were paying for support, and most importantly guidance. We were promised the moon and stars, but instead were ignored and given a follow up phone call with excuses. Angel Adoptions was clear to state that our $18,200 was 'clearly nonrefundable,' which confirms that they are not in the business of creating families; they are just in business. To say that this experience was heartbreaking, misleading, and a confusing would be an gross understatement. We were promised so many things without the intent of Angel Adoption physically being able to provide us a follow through. They took advantage of 'grey areas.' This felt very mean, and I feel like we were scammed. I feel so bad for the birthmothers and waiting families that get scammed and mislead into choosing Angel Adoptions. It's not right what they are doing to people, and I believe one day this will all be exposed. I'm sorry this didn't work out. We are reaching out to the other families that had similar experiences to see if we can have this company investigated, because what they are doing is so awful and terribly wrong. read more

When we signed the contract to work with Angel Adoption, we believed we would be receiving exceptional care. We believed our profile would be actively marked online and elsewhere. We believed Angel only worked with a limited number of families. We believed so many things, but we were misled. The fact that we had to pay fees upfront should have been a red flag, but we were vulnerable and anxious to grow our family. Do not make the same mistake we did. You will not receive personalized care from Angel, you will not be one of a limited number of families, your profile will not be actively marketed online. Our profile was shared ONCE in two years. They use your money to market their company, not you. We were matched 6 times and made two connections from those matches. They all fell through, and one of the matches turned out to be with a woman who was not even pregnant. Even if we had been able to adopt within our two-year contract, we still would have left a bad review for this company. Oh, and they refused to give us any of the $18k+ we paid to work with them once our contract expired. So not only did we NOT adopt, we also lost thousands of dollars. read more

To all those who are contemplating using Angel Adoption as their agency, don't! They are not an adoption agency, but rather, an advertising agency. We were on our journey with them for over four years and were told the same thing over and over again: "Trust the system. Be patient. It will happen." Well, folks, it didn't happen for us. We spent over $50K and have nothing to show for it. In the beginning, they are friendly and receptive--but once you sign your contract, everything changes, and not for the better. If adoption is your calling, go with a consulting agency instead, as they work with multiple agencies at once--thus, increasing your chances of being chosen by a birth mom. Following our awful experience with Angel Adoption, a friend shared something that she had done and encouraged us to do the same: embryo adoption. There are thousands, if not millions, of embryos available for couples or single women who want to carry and birth a baby. It is a fast, easy, and inexpensive process, and I am happy to share that we had two of our children this way and are expecting baby #3 in two months. These embryos would have otherwise been disposed of, so why not "save" them and allow them to have life? Best of all, YOU get to carry the baby and experience pregnancy. Embryo donation is something new, but it is definitely gaining in popularity quickly! We felt obligated to help get the word out because we don't want others to suffer the way we did with Angel Adoption. If you are not sure or are on the fence, don't waste your time and money with Angel Adoption. You will be a number lost in the shuffle. Don't believe us? Angel has many positive aspects of its business model. They are compassionate and do an amazing job of marketing their clients to expectant parents. In two years, our profile was shared with over 200 women and we were selected by eight of those women. However, all ended up deciding to parent, and we did not place within our two-year contract. We have learned (the hard way) the vast differences between using an adoption marketing coordination company (which Angel is) versus an actual adoption agency, which is licensed to place children for adoption (which Angel is not). Since we did not place in two years, we were generously offered a free extension for six months, which we decided to decline. We adopted successfully through angel. The adoption process is hard and it's not one that is the same for everyone. Angel Adoption helped us adopt our twin boys in 2015 (we were matched in 6 months and the boys were born 5 months later!) When we first were referred to them, they were incredibly supportive and full of welcomed advice to new soon-to-be parents. The initial consultation over the phone was warm and inviting, answer all the questions we had and providing answer to questions we didn't even know we had! Even after we signed and paid the contract, there was never a doubt in my mind that Angel was the right fit for us! They promptly returned calls and emails in a manner that I felt valued and welcomed. While we live on the East Coast, as a Chicago-land native, we returned to that area one summer and received the warmest welcome possible, met the entire staff, and were treated with incredible hospitality!! They also helped with referring and setting up communications with the Home Study agencies and Lawyers in my home area and the birth-mother's state. I never felt like the ball was dropped anywhere along the adoption process with Angel; they have been superbly helpful, insightful, and caring! We (now a family of 4) flew back one winter to stop in an say "Hi!" and introduce them to our little Angels. Angel Adoptions was an amazing agency to work with!!! After working with another agency for over 3 years and no success, we decided to start over with Angel. They were compassionate, understanding and professional! They made sure we knew exactly what to expect and were so helpful in getting our profile ready very quickly. In less than 3 months we were blessed with our son! They have continued to follow up with us to see how things are going and they were a true blessing in our adoption journey! We did adopt successfully through Angel Adoption, but we would not work with them again. They were very solicitous until they had our nonrefundable money in hand. After that, they seemed uninterested in whether we adopted successfully or not. They were slow to assemble our profile and slow to respond to our questions. Their correspondence was very insensitive (especially surprising given their emphasis on having been founded by adoptive mothers). During the last month of our two-year contract, they did finally put us in touch with our son's birthmother (her due date was the very last day of our contract). But once they gave us her number, they offered no counseling or oversight to guide her, or us, through the complexities of establishing a relationship in open adoption. We are now looking for a different agency--one that will work with us and with the birthparents throughout the entire process, and that will commit to helping us adopt successfully regardless of how long it takes. read more
