I am so grateful for this Mavis Tires and Breaks location. I woke up this morning to get ready to run errands, and when I stepped outside, I found my back right tire flat. Fortunately, after putting air in the tires to get me to their location, I called to check if my size tire was in stock, and it was. Another thing to be thankful for is that, instead of buying a whole new tire, I was able to get a repair for a small puncture. I was specifically directed to this location by customer service because they were the only store with run-flat tires in stock. I drove 20 miles from USF on a completely flat tire -- stopping multiple times to re-inflate with a portable inflator just to get here safely. My original Saturday appointment was canceled due to their "system issues," so I had to reschedule to Sunday. After a stressful, dangerous drive through traffic on a failing tire, I arrived at 4:15 -- just 15 minutes past my 4:00 appointment. They got my car up on the ramp and began work. While waiting, I stepped toward a nearby bakery and casually took a photo of my own car on the ramp -- a personal snapshot of the ordeal I'd been through. Within seconds, a staff member called me inside and spoke to me in an aggressive, demeaning tone, saying they "weren't okay" with me taking pictures. I calmly explained I had no idea about any such policy and immediately offered to delete the photo. That should have been the end of it. Instead, he continued making derogatory remarks, talked over me, and refused to hear me out. He then told me they were pulling my car off the ramp and I could leave. Let that sink in -- they left a customer stranded with a flat tire in the middle of a storm over an unknowing, harmless photo of their own vehicle. No signage about a photo policy. No polite request. Just hostility and humiliation from start to finish. Everything about this situation could have been resolved with a single respectful sentence. I would have happily complied. Instead, this staff member chose intimidation over basic professionalism. I urge anyone considering this location to think carefully. If this is how they treat a paying customer who followed their own service team's directions to get here, imagine how little they value your time, safety, or dignity. read more

I had a wonderful experience here. I needed new tires and called around, and couldn't believe the quotes I was receiving from other tire places. I was thinking there was a rubber shortage for the prices I was be quoted! I went online and was able to get a quote from their website and schedule for the next day! It's 2022. Any place that doesn't allow you to schedule on the website is lacking in my opinion so I was already happy about that! That morning, Pete called me to confirm I was coming in and when I arrived, checkin was fast. Literally spoke to the front regarding what I needed, dropped off my car and was out within a matter of minutes. That evening they called me to let me know my car was ready. Anthony was the best. I ordered four tires on Amazon and had them sent here - I arrived late for my appointment. Marquis (the manager) went out of his way to help me, and I am forever grateful. It was close to closing - I had four new tires that needed to be mounted. I know the guys were tired and wanted to go home. Marquis, conscious and considerate of his employee's time and morale, asked me if I could come back another day and offered me a free oil change to return at a later date. I explained the situation to Marquis, and Marquis said he would see what he could do. I watched as Marquis led by example. He went back into the bay, I saw Marquis talk to the gentleman, and I saw Marquis personally move two of my tires to the machines to be installed in my wheels. Before I went to sit in the lobby waiting area - I saw three gentlemen begin working on my tires. At 6:01 PM - Marquis came with a smile on his face and informed me that all four of my tires had been installed in my car. Marquis, Julius, Taylor, and Devon went out of their way to install the tires on such short notice. Not only did they go out of their way with service that was above and beyond - they ensured my car was safe for me to drive. I love the staff, the manager is very kind and upbeat. I understand everyone has bad experiences, but it's hard to believe anyone could've had a bad experience here. Best tire prices within Riverview, and they always get me out within one to two hours. This was in early 2020, before the company was bought out, and was told that they had "no way" of finding the information about he purchase and there is "nothing they can do for me" this is directly from the manager "Ryan". He told me since i don't have the invoice from 4 years ago there is nothing he can do about it. My wife was quoted a price yesterday and told an appointment was made. When we arrived to the location where we have been serviced many times they didn't have the quote or appointment in the system. The manager quoted us a higher price than what had been quoted the day before. When questioned about the difference he began to talk down to my wife so we left. This has been our go to spot for tires. It will be no longer. I witnessed the manger treating an employee and another customer in line the same way prior to helping us. I was hoping to be able to edit this review in a positive light. After my visit I followed up with Mavis Customer Service. I spoke to a young lady that was extremely concerned with the interaction we had. She apologized and said she would have the Regional manager call me. As promised John called. To my surprise John doubled down and excused the managers behavior. He even went as far as saying that what I was telling him was ignorant. My mom bought new tires and was stranded on the side of the road On the way home from picking her car up. The professionals here refused to assist my 61 year old mom in a solution for a problem that they created. In fact, personnel accused my mom of running over a nail after leaving this tire shop with brand new tires. Unacceptable. Dangerous. Once again, Mavis has come through for me. My service need was very simple. I had an email notification that the tires on my 2018 Pilot needed to be rotated. The best part was it was going to be free as I had a coupon! Mavis is very short staffed (as are many businesses) these days. Marquis, the Assistant Manager was being spread thin as he was working the front desk and running back and forth to the service area. He was unbelievably friendly and professional. Antonio performed my rotation perfectly and I was in and out in 30 minutes time. It's rare to find a business that respects the customer's time. Beware. Beware. Beware!!!!..Beware. RIP OFF! URGENT! URGENT! This place is a total rip off. I bought 2 tires from this place and I thought they were a reputable establishment. Within 2 weeks one tire had cracked, we do not have any warranty so we are SOL. Imagine 2 weeks of use and there is a crack on the side without hitting anything (you will see abrasion on the side of tire if you hit a ramp or something) and then not giving anything except to buy another tire. If you are buying tires from this place, make sure you check the tires and they are fresh and not made 10 years ago. The manager was also obnoxious when he realized he was trying to put up expenses on this. A better advice is to bring your business NOT in this place, bring it like Costco or Tire Plus and avoid this place like a plague. everyone was very friendly inside but i got a full brake inspection because I had a slight squeaking and they told me I needed completely new rotors and brake pads, about $800, me thinking that was a lot for a car I just bought five months ago in great condition and only had 40k miles on it I got a second opinion down the street at Hi-Tech auto, after inspection they told me both brake pads and rotors were at 90%!! he said squeak is just from the Florida rain and moisturizer causing a bit of rust but it is perfectly safe to drive and won't cause a bigger issue. Though my tires for my truck were purchased in Atlanta, I recently had an issue as I was driving home from work. My truck began to detect a problem with the left front tire pressure. I thought- well, the truck is still driving well, let me see if perhaps I ran over something. Stopped to check- NOPE. So, I called this location of Kauffman. The nice gentleman said...sir just bring it right in and we will check it out. I was about 10 miles away, but drove there quickly. When I arrived they took the truck, checked the pressure (it was a bit low), checked the engine computer and came to the conclusion that it was most likely the battery in the tire stem. They adjusted the tire pressure which temporarily solved the issue. They told me to come back if it happened again, and they would replace the stem and take care of everything. They did not ask for a receipt for the purchase of the tires, or any proof that I had purchased the tires from Kauffman. They were professional, courteous and caring. I give them 5- starts quite simply for going out of their way to make sure that I was taken care of, and they could have cared less about making a buck. Glad I chose Kauffman in Atlanta, and I will certainly take my business to this location in the future. read more

I took my vehicle in to have brakes put on and picked it up the next day. Upon picking it up I noticed damage done to the quarter panel. I immediately told the service advisor how told me to come back Monday and speak to the store manager. I did exactly this, the regional manager was also there. They advised me that the spoke to the technician and that he did not do the damage and that it must have been there when I brought it in. Which it was not !!!!! Basically they called me a liar. I called corporate who gave me a ticket number and said they would look in to the matter and get back to me. It's been three weeks and I have not heard one word from them. They did $ 1200.00 worth of damage to my vehicle. Shame on you for not owning up to your mistakes. My 92 year old Father-in-law bought tires from here. They put the rear tire ion backwards and refused to fix the problem. His mechanic told him about the tire being on backwards and the owner of Mavis acknowledged its backwards but didn't want to fix the problem. He told us this isn't a problem and kicked us out of the store. Don't buy tires here. The discount isn't worth the problems you may incur. read more

The manager Is rude and unable to accept that making more appointments that they can handle is his fault. While having my jeep in their shop for an oil change, I ask them if they could find out why it's leaking fluid. They came back to me and told me it was a power steering leak, so I agreed for them to fix it. I brought my car back four more times because they did not fix the leak and they already replaced the hoses, intercooler for the power steering. After becoming frustrated after my 5th visit, I took it to another shop and it turns out it was a transmission cooler leak. I am now out $800 and the regional manager. Larry told me he would call me the next day. Guess what 4 days later and I'm still waiting for that call. I will never give this place another dime of my money. Very helpful team that is also really patient and answered all our questions. My mom drove up from SWFL and her tire blew on I75. She was driving around on a donut. So, I looked up tire replacement near me and Mavis was at the top of the list. Not only were they professional they were also very well priced. Being two women going up there I never felt like they were upselling me. Although I hope I won't have type issues anytime soon, if I do I know exactly where to go!! I called them because my wife caught a flat tire they said wel have you done in two hours. I had the car towed there spoke with the manager Pete he said we'll take care of it for you. 4 hours later no phone call or anything I call them at 5 because the store closes at 6 the kid who picks up the phone says you'll be done before we close. 6 comes around no phone call so me and my wife drive over to the store to see it closed the car in the garage just sitting there hasn't even been touched yet. This is the most unprofessional place I have ever been to. How can you keep someone's car overnight without trying to reach out to them. Would not recommend. Went to get my brake pads and rotors replaced. They only completed 3 of the 4 rotors which I found out a few months later. I get mistakes happen but come on a whole rotor? They put my family and myself at risk because they were sloppy. I then took my car to a different mavis location, a whole another story, which took me 3 times there and back to get sorted and took 8+ hours of my life. I am currently in discussion with the regional manager and getting push back about a refund. I wouldn't go to any mavis if at all possible. read more

This used to be a great place to buy tires and have mechanical work done. No more. Since Mavis bought Kauffman it isn't the same. None of the original front desk people are there anymore, and several of the new ones are not what I would call good customer service people. They used to have free coffee in the waiting area, and the service reps used to know me by name when I came in (I have spent a lot of money there). It's very impersonal, and not pleasant. I have had my vehicle serviced here many times and tell myself I won't be going back. They did not tighten 18 out of 20 lug nuts, had to have it towed back after replacing a radiator and a hose was left off, now its back again in the shop and have very poor communication with anyone. They leave you on hold for 10-15 minutes just to come back and tell you that the computers are shut down. This company is not customer friendly at all. I do not trust them. read more
