One of my favorite places. Angel Fire RV Resort is really a resort in every way. The scenery is beautiful, the sites are clean and well maintained and there's a clubhouse with activities and entertainment. I love coming up here every summer to spend a week just decompressing and the staff does everything they can to achieve that goal. In particular Brittany has been fabulously helpful. She takes the time to talk to you, pet your dog and help you anyway she can, she also delivers your waffles! She has been great keeping me informed of every day's activities and going's on. I've never been to a place that's so accommodating and has such friendly and warm staff. If you're looking for a fabulous RV resort check out Angel Fire RV Resort, they are the best. Make sure you book well in advance because they book up quickly.

Beautiful grounds & facilities. RV sites are spacious & have concrete pads. Staff is super friendly, activities are offered daily. Included on the grounds is a playground, pickle ball courts, walking path, community room, jacuzzi, fire pits for group gatherings & more. Beautiful. Did I say beautiful? You will definitely enjoy your stay.

Definitely my favorite rv resort. This resort gets a 10 out of 10. The resort is clean and secure. Bathhouses are super nice and tastefully decorated. The hot tub was hot and big! We were here during off season. Staff was alway available, helpful and cheerful. I highly recommend this spot for all rv's. Fishing and biking are the activities to do during summer months.

Awesome hot tub overlooking the mountains.

This RV resort is truly top notch!!! The 360 degree views of the mountains and landscape are beyond beautiful. Most evenings you can watch the heard of elk grazing in the field behind the property. The hot tub is very nice and large. Excellent way to relax in the beauty of this place! The sites are all very spacious with plenty of room to park your vehicle. Each site has WiFi boosters, so the WiFi is also excellent. The week we stayed here was slow and we were the only campers, but they still lit the fire pit for us each night!! I highly recommend this resort and we will definitely be returning!!!

Best RV park of any we have stayed at. Amazing bath houses, staff loves to help AND throw awesome parties, and the area is kept amazingly clean. After 2 stays I can't say enough great things about this place. My new favorite RV park. They threw a prime rib New Years Eve party that was out of this world. Big Yelp secret: they don't tell you that there are bathrooms and showers in the gate house and the grand lodge, not just at the bathhouse so you do have options. Absolute best RV park to visit. Really want to come back for summer!!!

RVing will never be the same!! This place is amazing!!! Where to begin .... professional staff, lovely club house with many outdoor gas fireplace, beautifully decorated, dog park with lush grass for deep-paws running, pickle ball court, all-in-one hook up station, pull-through lots, jacuzzi, laundry paid with credit card, great stuff to buy office, great location and VIEWS!... it goes on and on. Okay, "we will be back" for sure!!

We arrived with a serious electrical problem, and Nathan - the owner/manager - promptly helped us by re-wiring temporarily, so we could have air-conditioning and electricity for our two days stay. He then called Albuquerque, New Mexico - which will be passing through after we left this location - and ordered us the electrical component to fix our RV. Because we would be arriving there on a Saturday, he also made arrangements with a mobile RV tech to install that part! Everything you want is at this location; from a wonderful restaurant, to laundry facilities, to conveniently located for the recreation facilities nearby, and a wonderful store. Nathan would not take a penny from us, for helping us!!! I cannot tell you how my wife and I, and dog, appreciated all he did for us, to make our stay just fabulously wonderful!!!! If you could give six stars to this nice place and the wonderful owners, they deserve it!!!

He had me follow him to our site and then continued to help us get situated. I found this to be pretty much the standard as Nate was always helping someone in the campground. We fell in love with Golden Eagle the year before when we met Bruce and Bridgette (Nate's parents) who told us they would be passing the campground on to Nate and Lisa. Sometimes you worry when you get that kind of news. But we found that nothing has changed in the warm and professional atmosphere, and the changes that Nate HAS made to the facilities are awesome. It's a fun and unique place to visit. Always something to do with local vendors showing up on one day with their homemade wares of jewelry, fresh bread, jams and beef jerky and then some really great musicians and singers on another evening. (Take some time to look at their events page.) And don't miss the evening movies. Just prepare to enjoy the fun. One of the nice surprises for me was their Grill where you could enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. I started with breakfast and the sausage was the best I had ever eaten - and I'm a Cajun boy. I had a great cheeseburger for lunch and my wife had, she said, one of the best chicken salad sandwiches she had ever had - but were not able to stay for the beef brisket special for that week. Hopefully it will be back when we return. (I believe you can see a copy of their menu on their website, but the specials change weekly.) In any event, we had a great time and will be returning in a few weeks for the balloon launch. I can't really add anything to some of the other nice reviews that give you more detail about the facilities, but Nate and Lisa were great and always accommodating - just good people and a joy to be around. We look forward to seeing them again. Do yourself a favor and spend some time at Golden Eagle RV Campground in Eagle Nest, New Mexico.

I paid around $300/night for a room that was in need of a lot of TLC (see pics). Motel 6 might be nicer???? I mean it's been a while since I frequented one of those for a high school party?!?!? The heat was horrible. Our room was so hot! We had the 1970's unit turned off but the room stayed tundra hot. We had maintence come one day 2. After all of one minute he said IDK and left??? We had a box fan on high the entire time as well as windows open when it felt okay (the car exhaust from the parking lot prohibited that at times. There was zero security. None of the rooms on the left side (when facing the place) on the "resort" were locked. I take that back. One was locked but only because it was broken and wouldn't open at all (door 2). This place will nickel and dime you to death! Food and drink is ridiculous. $4-5/soda, $18-$20 for chicken nuggets or burger with fries (my kids told me their school food was better?!?!?). And lose the keycard...that's $35 for each lost key. My kids held on to those with their lives!!! And the keycards barely worked. I stopped counting the number of times we had to the keycards rekeyed. Ugh. The pool and hot tub are surrounded by slippery tile. Super smart?!?!? And my youngest kid got a rash from the hot tub. Thank goodness Ed's I had hydrocortisone cream. When the bubbles aren't going the hot tub is cloudy. Ick! And if you want to talk to management. Good luck! You'll have to EMAIL to talk to them. The boots I rented sliced my shins all to hell after one hour ski school. The rental place tried to blame it on my attire (having more than my socks in the boot). Nope, I watched the Angel Fire video on what to wear. I never got a sorry. Here's a free $5 soda on us. NOTHING. And the final item that secured us take time out of my day to write this review. I was waiting on someone to back out of a parking sport at El Jefe to eat. A surfer looking dude told me to move cause I was holding up traffic. I pointed the the car pulling out. He said he didn't care. As I'm old and give zero eeffs...I sat there and waited. After looking at the menu we didn't eat there. So I could have saved myself the heartache. But man...the staff. So the staff...a good portion are drifters from hotel to hotel during the season. A lot sound like CHEECH. Most don't give any thought to your experience or satisfaction, with the exception of the ski instructors. I will said Daniel was the bees knees!!! And after hours the staff like to hang at the overpriced diners onsite and talk about their hippie beliefs such as queerness and Trump. As if my kids need to hear any of that? As if I care??? And maybe I'd like a seat at the bar, but there weren't any due to the staff. David- your bias is showing. I didn't say anything about anyone's ethnicity or politics. I said keep the staff's political views away from my KIDS. The staff talked about THEIR political beliefs in guest spaces. I could not care less what the staff think politically. I do care if my 11 & 13 yo have to hear it at dinner in the only restaurant open for dinner inside the lodge. I also didn't say anything about ethnicity. But since you bring it up...the folks I interacted with were all white. I was pointing out they all seem like stoners. The part about roaming from resort to resort was a topic I asked the 6 staffers sitting at the bar while waiting on my family to arrive so I could move to a table. I specifically asked how they started working at Angel Fire. Those are their words. I went ahead and changed my stats to a 1 based on your response.
