Over priced!!!!! Management is rude and condescending. $30 for entry to a pool and even more $$ for activities.

It's never open and it's been "under construction " for the past 3+ years. Buyers in the River ranch community beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a great place to come and relax. Would definitely come back again. I'm excited for the rest of the lagoon once it's done being built!

Firstly, any business that supports specials needs is already great in my book. I read reviews of the long lines, so I gave myself an extra 30 minutes to get there. It was not needed at all. Yes, the line was long, but I purchased tickets online so I didn't have to wait in line for that, and as soon as the clock struck 8pm, the line moved very quickly. We didn't wait for longer than a few minutes. My kiddos thought the wait would be long (and so did I) so they went off to the playground to kill time. Little did I know as soon as they made it, doors were opening so I had to get out of line to go get them then get at the end of the line. Even with that, I'd say it was less than two minutes of waiting. Once inside, I noticed the park was very clean. There was plenty of seating as well as tubes available. The kids opted to spend almost all of their time in the lazy river. Warning: it moves a little fast. I had trouble keeping up lol. There are regular lifeguards that are on the deck observing the kiddos, and there are guards that are actually inside the water interacting with the kids. My two boys were paired with such a sweet angel that gave them the BEST experience. Towards the end of the night, another guard joined them. The boys were on their backs racing and showing off their "tricks." The girls even took them on two of the rides (which I wouldn't have taken them as I am terrified of even the slightest thrill rides). I wish I would have gotten the girls' names as they really took care of my boys. I didn't order any food as the event was only two hours long, and we ate dinner before we left, but food was available for sale, and you also have the option of bringing your own. I brought water for everyone, but we were in the water the whole time so we didn't get to it. Next time, I'll leave it in the car so I don't have to tote anything around.

Big Rivers is great about offering reasonable pricing for families and they sponsor many nights where they spotlight groups, offering deep discounts. Parking was free. Finding a good parking spot was easy. If you got a special event, bring your walking shoes because there is a lot to see and do. Lots of activities including a petting zoo, carnival rides, axe throwing, inflatables, and more. We like that they have none of the carnival midway games that take your money for a modest prize. They offer lots of food options ranging from carnival fare like funnel cakes to regular food. Prices are what you would expect. The staff is pretty friendly, lots of young people but enough of the older folks to keep things running smoothly. Overall, it's a relatively inexpensive way to celebrate the holidays, giving you lots to do, see, and enjoy without breaking the bank.

Luckily people were finishing up and leaving by the time we were getting settled in. Good to know: You can bring an unopened/sealed water bottle or an empty reusable bottle and get it filled with ice and water inside. Free parking is available at the second entrance and the walk isn't bad at all. There are locker rentals in the bathrooms but also at 2 other locations near the pool chairs. There's only 1 family restroom, that I saw, and the stalls aren't large enough for changing clothes privately and comfortably. So come dressed and leave with an extra dry towel or swim cover lol. After going through the check in we put our things on the pool chair and got in the lazy river. After tubing around we got in line for the water slide. Then we finished up at the wave pool. All were fun and not overwhelming. There were enough pool floats to go around. And the staff were keeping the place clean. Afterwards we grabbed a personal pizza & soda from their stand which weren't too costly. They also have a BBQ restaurant available too. The only unfortunate parts was trying to eat with the yellow jacket bees around. There were so many getting on the food and drinks. And the bathroom not having private changing areas. There were amusement rides available too but we didn't have time for it. Upon leaving, the guy that's often seen on their social media posts (I don't know his position) was waving and saying goodbye to everyone. I thought that was a really nice southern hospitality gesture.

While the lagoon itself is nice, it didn't quite live up to what we had envisioned. It felt more like a very upscale neighborhood pool with some fun features -- which would've been fine had we gone in with that mindset. The atmosphere was more of a party vibe -- loud, crowded, and high-energy -- which wasn't what we were personally looking for. I had hoped for a more relaxing experience, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Considering the price, I didn't feel it was worth the cost. The cabana rentals were surprisingly expensive -- even more than what we've paid at actual beaches, like in Cozumel. The highway visible in the background also took away from the overall ambiance. In the end, it just wasn't the right fit for our family. For the price, I'd prefer a beach day or a quieter pool where we can truly unwind.

The crowd was mostly families, but you could go as an adult group or even solo. Glad they have a pretty large parking lot, so no stress on that. Came here for the first time on a bright Saturday AM at about 9:50a. Place opens at 10a. Come earlier than that, because others do too, and the line moved a little slow. They have a bag check you have to pass through first. Then you get back in line and go to the window, show your ticket, and/or buy your ticket. Then get your wristband. And then walk in. So you can only bring in what they allow, boooo, check their website for what they allow and dont allow before going. But I will say, the bag check was kind of light, IYKYK. Agree that the best move is to come early to snag a lounge chair with an umbrella. Umbrellas seem to be few and far between, but if you get there early, you should be able to get one. It doesn't seem worth it to rent the expensive cabanas, even with a group. We saw some groups doing it, not sure if they actually had paid the $300 fee, or were just squatting there until they got caught. I liked that they had a bar with some beer/cocktail options, so they place is adult friendly and kid friendly, lol. They have a food menu too, since you can't bring in food. I didn't order anything, but my friend really enjoyed her burger. They also had a few food trucks as well. That day, they were actually having a Pirates and Mermaids themed day. There was a Pirate folk band playing on their mini stage for a few hours. After that, they had a good playlist jamming on the loud speaker. The actual pool of the lagoon is divided in half. One half is for people to swim. The other half is for the water equipment rentals like the kaiyaks etc. We got to enjoy some stand-up paddleboading. That was fun. The water equipment rental is for 30 min at a time. Besides the wild rowdy kids surrounding us, we had a fun experience.
