Okay, the professional photos and social media make this place look way cooler than it actually is. For $25, you get a glorified neighborhood pool with access to buy overpriced food and drinks. Like the other reviewers stated, half the lagoon was closed and unavailable to the public. You could use the beach chairs, but no access to the water unless you walk to the other end of the property. At that price point you'd be better off finding a friend with a pool or an apartment pool and just going there. seats with umbrellas are limited unless you get there within the first 30 minutes of opening and the ones that are next to the water entrance are overcrowded with parents and children. I guess the appeal is way more for adults who have children and like to drink in front of them. The water course gets full and you have to sign up hour (s) in advance and the bumper boat area is small. In my opinion, they need quite a few things to feel like your $25 was worth something. Umbrellas for every pair of chairs would be a great start, or tables for the lounge chairs, and few extra attendants to run food and drinks. Genuinely we will never return here. As soon as we pulled up on the hottest day on record in Texas. Upon entering we noticed the Lagoon had signs that said Lagoon closed. We informed management thy we drove from New Orleans and had anticipated the Lagoon and they said we are sorry its closed due to maintenance. And I said had it been posted on the website we would have been able to make a decision for ourselves, the employee informed us that it has been closed for 2 weeks. Called to ask about cabanas as the website said they could only be booked in person. Well when I called they told me the same. Told me to get here early because they sell out. Sent my son and his girlfriend early so they could get us one and when they arrived the employees told them a section was already reserved from the third party site. Now, I called TWICE about they to secure one and was told that is not an option. But the WORST part was we drive almost an hour and a half to get here and literally 90% of the lagoon is closed. There is only ONE beach area that is open. Flow rider is closed also. If i could give this place a 0 start i would . Very disappointed they could have informed in the website that 95% of the lagoon is closed. Then for the obstacle course you have to sign up. We were settling in then we tried to get on the obstacle course. Then they proceeded to say we had to wait two hours to be able to get in because we had not signed up. Which i completely understand but they could have also provided this info when you get to the establishment. Do not rent any cabanas they are a waste of money. You are not even able to get in the water because it's closed for "maintenance " . Mind you on the other side of the lagoon is the residential area which is completely fully open. The website is so deceptive. The website shows a big beautiful lagoon and lots of fun water activities happening in 2026. The vast majority of these are not open. We went the first Sunday in August 2026 just to relax in this big beautiful lagoon but were highly disappointed when we were limited to one teeny tiny area to swim. The website does say a few things are closed and to view the map to see what is open. The map shows a big blue beautiful lagoon so looks like the entire lagoon was open. I didn't care about the activities, I just wanted to swim in this wide open space. The pictures are from their website and I added the words as none of these captivating areas were open. I also included a picture of the map of the lagoon. I added the pink highlighted area on the bottom right corner to show the only small area that was open for swimming. I contacted the office to let them know how deceptive the website is relaying the information about the majority of the lagoon being closed. They did not care and said the website shows what is open and what is not. Wrong! it is very deceptive. This was my first visit so the website only shows me an awesome lagoon to swim. They offered no refunds, which I did not really expect. I did expect an apology and an offer for tickets to revisit, even if it is next season. My family and I visited Lagoonfest while on vacation, and as out-of-towners, we had high expectations based on the photos online. While the lagoon itself is nice, it didn't quite live up to what we had envisioned. It felt more like a very upscale neighborhood pool with some fun features -- which would've been fine had we gone in with that mindset. The atmosphere was more of a party vibe -- loud, crowded, and high-energy -- which wasn't what we were personally looking for. I had hoped for a more relaxing experience, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Considering the price, I didn't feel it was worth the cost. The cabana rentals were surprisingly expensive -- even more than what we've paid at actual beaches, like in Cozumel. The highway visible in the background also took away from the overall ambiance. In the end, it just wasn't the right fit for our family. For the price, I'd prefer a beach day or a quieter pool where we can truly unwind. read more

The reviews are kind of low, so I felt I would review it to add a different perspective. A water park located in a suburban neighborhood, next to a Buc-ees? Interesting! The crowd was mostly families, but you could go as an adult group or even solo. Glad they have a pretty large parking lot, so no stress on that. Came here for the first time on a bright Saturday AM at about 9:50a. Place opens at 10a. Come earlier than that, because others do too, and the line moved a little slow. They have a bag check you have to pass through first. Then you get back in line and go to the window, show your ticket, and/or buy your ticket. Then get your wristband. And then walk in. So you can only bring in what they allow, boooo, check their website for what they allow and dont allow before going. But I will say, the bag check was kind of light, IYKYK. Agree that the best move is to come early to snag a lounge chair with an umbrella. Umbrellas seem to be few and far between, but if you get there early, you should be able to get one. It doesn't seem worth it to rent the expensive cabanas, even with a group. We saw some groups doing it, not sure if they actually had paid the $300 fee, or were just squatting there until they got caught. I liked that they had a bar with some beer/cocktail options, so they place is adult friendly and kid friendly, lol. They have a food menu too, since you can't bring in food. I didn't order anything, but my friend really enjoyed her burger. They also had a few food trucks as well. That day, they were actually having a Pirates and Mermaids themed day. There was a Pirate folk band playing on their mini stage for a few hours. After that, they had a good playlist jamming on the loud speaker. The actual pool of the lagoon is divided in half. One half is for people to swim. The other half is for the water equipment rentals like the kaiyaks etc. We got to enjoy some stand-up paddleboading. That was fun. Luckily we found the Groupon for $25pp Check in staff was super rude to one of my friends when he arrived because they didn't want to accept the screenshot of the Groupon code. It was gifted since another person in our group purchased a few from the same account. Once I let them know which manager instructed us to present as such they just let him in I doubt they even scanned it . The waiter got our drinks and concession food. Fries were great but can't say much for the drinks. Frozen beverages were already 60% liquid and tasted like juice. Not sure what alcohol was used. I got a poboy from one of the food trucks. The shrimp was great but the bread was a waste of carbs. Not taste and dry. They'd do better with a shrimp basket but maybe they can't serve fries since it'd be direct competition with the park. The beignets on the other hand were very tasty . I think it's a lot to tax for admission , cabana, and then again for every activity. The floor in the pool was lumpy and had a lot of air pockets. We called before to make sure that they have the same service at that area and been told that it's exactly the same, Unfortunately when we got there most of the things weren't available on that bar and everything that we wanted, we had to go to the main entrance in order to get. We've asked for a manager to come and talk with us about it but he seemed to really not care about us or the Service we get, I told him that over the phone we were told it's exactly the same Bar and yet he couldn't care less and didn't try to find any solution. So a man made pool and an overpriced tickets to get into it walk into a bar .... What could go wrong . Yes you heard me right it's a man made pool with water actives for you to do which is ridiculously expensive and yes you do have to pay for all of the water actives separately. A ticket to even get into the place is $200 per person. Plus there are cabanas which you also have to pay separately for . Also there's a restaurant here which the food is not great and very expensive crapshoot of taste and flavors . You can get drinks here because you can't bring your own cooler in which is $20 per drink per person. There are lines for everything and the crappy rude staff that will rush you when you don't want to be rushed also they don't give you alot of time to enjoy any of the activities. There are these water bikes here half of the time they don't work . What an amazing place to have a women's triathlon today. The staff could not have been any more helpful or courteous to help this Island Girl tri at Lagoonfest be a success. The water was clear and calm and I can see why people love to visit here. There was plenty of parking and after the event we stayed for a few hours to enjoy some drinks and food while relaxing in a cabana. They have both cabanas by the man-made beach and ones available for rental by the water. I could not believe how large this place was and how clean it was. Texas can be hot and the air-conditioned bathrooms were clean and cold.That's a Win win for me after racing or even if you are just hanging out for the day to catch some rays .Nice to have a place to cool off. Their friendly and courteous staff came by multiple times to check to see if we needed anything and as we exited even offered to take pictures of us together with our phone. I will certainly come back. Maybe next time for a later day sunset enjoying some live country music as advertised on their website. read more

My take away from Lagoonfest is that they are severely understaffed. There is no up keep of the property during the day resulting in mud build up on the shore lines and the restrooms were atrocious. The wait for food is extremely long whether it was lagoonfest concession or food truck. Personally I waited 20 mins for a piña colada in a pineapple, 15 mins for a funnel cake and 15 minutes for chicken quesadillas. That time adds up and takes away from the lagoon experience. The advertising and social media make it look like a relaxing resort style lagoon but it felt more like an amusement park. I also wish they would have more water space for people to spread out to swim, the water sports are not that active which means they could open the deeper water for more experienced swimmers. If they were to open the deeper parts in the water I would like for them to supply some simple pool noodles (since you can't bring them in) for people to hang on and float around to relax. With that said, I did enjoy the amount of chairs that were available with umbrellas, bumper cars were free with admission, cups of ice were free and lagoon water was very clear and clean. If those changes were made I would definitely return to Lagoonfest. read more

Great day to enjoy my favorite yup her doing her first triathlon in two years. I couldn't believe how cool this place was. A huge lagoon that is reminiscent of being on vacation on an island somewhere in the Caribbean. With Crystal clear water in there , you could easily swim without fear of what was underneath you. The staff was very helpful and asked if we could use any drinks food orAnything else needed. They had cabanas on the manmade sand beaches. They also had cabanas on the water for rental. Even though we chose not to stand up paddle or kayak it was available for additional charge. After taking plenty of pictures up till the time they open the park at at 11 AM, we stay for another hour before the crowd came. I was excited to check out Lagoonfest after seeing serval ads/videos since last year. The lagoon is huge with plenty of space. Upon arrival our bags were checked to make sure no outside food or drinks were brought into the establishment. My friend's friend had ordered a poolside cabana which was very comfortable and relaxing. We were able to receive poolside service by texting our waitress our food/drink orders. The menu is very limited by the way. Especially for an establishment that limits outside food it a shame there wasn't much to rave about. It looks like they also have food trucks set up throughout the park sometimes, although there was only one cajun type food truck today. I ordered a high moon seltzer and nachos. The nachos ($8) were pretty bland, only came with cheese, jalapeños and small amount of chili. The other food options on the menu included fries, mozzarella sticks, wings. The cocktail prices weren't too bad though, about $12 a drink and beers/seltzers ~ $5. The resort itself is beautiful! The pool temperature is perfect, not too cold or warm. There's different activities to do as well including kayaking and water obstacle course (at an extra cost I think around $5) and mini boats too. Today (a Sunday afternoon) was a pretty calm/chill day at the resort though I'm sure it's likely more busy during prime days during the summer. I really wanted to enjoy this place but it wasn't what I expected at all. For starters you're not allowed to bring anything but I didn't see any open bars or food places. We didn't walk all the way around but we walked left as soon as we walked in through the door. The first thing I noticed was the music. It was Banda/Norteño music almost the entire time. Not fun. They should be able to cater to a diverse crowd. It was 5 de Mayo weekend but there are more Latin genres. I even submitted my own band to the music booking contact but never heard back :( Anyway, we walked all the way down on the left-side and were told it was a "private event and we couldn't walk further". So we turned around and started walking back past the water buggys. We got into the water which mind you didn't even come to our waist. It was probably not even to our crotch level! Some guy started yelling at us that we weren't allowed to swim there because there were no lifeguards on duty. My God! Okay, so we walk a little farther but that put us closer to the music which still wasn't enjoyable. I noticed they have an R&B weekend coming up. Maybe that will be better but I'll have to think twice about coming back. I'm glad I found a Groupon for a fraction of the price. Here's the cons and the reason why I couldn't give this place a solid 5 star rating. SAVE UP BC THIS EXPERIENCE IS EXPENSIVE! You should definitely reserve chairs or a cabana or you'll be on the floor. Especially if you're staying a day in the sun a cabana will be preferable for a more comfortable experience. This is an extra cost.. Also... no waters, food etc are allowed. Each water is over $5... a drink can be anywhere between 13-15 (liquor/mixed drinks). Food is equally ridiculously priced. Just be prepared and save up ! All experiences are also an extra cost.. Altogether Lagoonfest was exactly what I needed. So much fun in the sun, but definitely made a dent in my wallet. Food and drink are too steep especially because you are not allowed to bring ANYTHING in the facility except an empty water bottle. I'm not a big fan of Galveston beaches so this was a nice, clean alternative to a "beach day". My 6 and 7 year-old girls loved it and had a blast. The obstacle course was $5 well spent and nice activity from splashing around on the shore. I didn't know the bottom of the lagoon had a plastic liner which I wasn't a fan of but maybe that's how they keep it so clean. Restrooms were also clean for the most part and still 100x better than using a port-a-potty. Drinks were reasonably priced and the food was just ok. We ordered food from two different food trucks there and enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries more than the street tacos. We would definitely visit again in the future. read more

Okay.... I read the reviews after we bought the tickets and I was pretty frustrated that I didn't read the reviews first ........ Yes, they are a tad bit pricey when it comes to the extra activities, seating, and a couple menu items. The extra events should come in some form of package deal to help people save money.... We truly enjoyed our cowboy burger .. it tasted amazing and it was a nice size... but they could've included fried for $14... The drink was decent; bahama mama for $12... honestly the prices are like any other restaurant, minus a few add ons... same prices you would get going to Fiesta Texas, Galveston, etc... hell even TGI Fridays prices aren't as cheap as they used to be... if you don't have extra money to spend DONT GO !! They need more shade because those little umbrellas over the chairs did NO justice, we had to stand under the shade sails at one point because the sun was beaming, but other than that I liked the chairs and umbrella, they could've been half the price though. ‍ ! I love the concept and the cleanliness... there was plenty of help and the staff was nice... now on the to the lagoon... it's pretty massive ( honestly)... it is a huge pool but isn't that what a man made lagoon really is?? I decided to take my kiddos to Lagoonfest for a change of scenery. I hadn't looked at the reviews prior to purchasing the full day tickets for the three of us. Honestly, after seeing some of the reviews I became a bit nervous to go. Very low ratings. And I can see why. The place, first off, is quite expensive for what you're getting. Just for the three of us, one adult and two kids, was like 80 bucks. That's just for entry. Doesn't include the activities, which also come at a steep price. The weekend we were set to go, The Titan attraction was damaged, and I received and email stating I would receive a refund. Still waiting on that refund at the moment. The kids did enjoy Aqua obstacle course. So I guess that's a plus. You aren't allowed to bring anything into Lagoonfest. No... seriously. Nothing. No coolers. Chairs. Umbrellas. Balls/toys. Water floats. Food. Nothing. Which is very odd. What about people with food allergies? Or dietary restrictions? And all the seating comes at a price. Yes! Even after buying tickets you MUST purchase seats or you will be left to sit on the grass/sand with NO covering. In this Texas heat.... That's a deal breaker. Thankfully I was also able to purchase seating with our entry tickets. However, that's not always guaranteed. Which is crazy. How can you have limited seating when you have to PAY to enter? The drinks and food are expensive. Two drinks was like 30 bucks. I made sure to feed the kiddos before going as I had already read the reviews and knew the lines and price would be an issue. There's no lies there. The lines are long and the price is high. You've been warned! Overall.... Did I hate the experience? No. The place is nice and clean. But.... Update: Refund issued but they initially were refunding everything then said only for the cabana, so they went back on what they said they'd do. I has to remind them how horrible the whole experience was and then they finally refunded the full amount on 6/22. Absolutely ridiculous. If they are going to require we purchase all our food there especially in the case where you buy all days access, it shouldn't be a two hour wait for food. They need to limit crowds if they don't have the ability to feed everyone. Absolutely dismal. And the cabanas do NOT look like the ones on the picture, this is why they took those pics down. This place is a major vibe!!! As soon as you walk in your blown away! They have water bikes, boat rides and above water obstacle course. We opted to just float around chilling. The chairs are over sand so you get that lil beach feel the place is dope. They play music and have food trucks and a restaurant to choose from. You can also play Cornhole and checkers. We didn't eat anything but we did get drinks and we couldn't even tell the was liquor in there. Next time we go were def sneaking in nips to spice those drinks up a bit(shhhh don't tell nobody) but overall that place is a hidden gem! Run skip and hop there asap!!!! read more

Overall the place was pretty clean, we ended up coming on a cloudy day. The place has huge potential but needs much improvements in overall organization, maintenance and pricing structure. They have several options for food & drinks, portable "royal" bathroom trailers, you can pay extra for a boat ride, floating bicycles, bumper boats and more. read more

It was our first time in Texas, yet alone Houston. Check-in to Paradise Shore was smooth and hassle free. We had a Cabana rental and the staff (Reyna & Maria) we're amazing. The service was top notch, and they always attended to us. Vince, our ferry shuttle personnel was amazing as well. We had a really great experience with Dane, our sailboat guide that took us on the water on our sailboat reservation. He was very personable, gave us information about Lagoonfest and upcoming events that we're happening. He's gonna be an awesome teacher with the Sailboat Class that he's teaching. We wish him all the luck. Sam Spector who was bartending in the general admissions area was AMAZING! We loved her. She provided amazing customer service, was very personable. She got to know us and where we we're from (NYC) while making all of our drinks. Entertaining, great multitasker and fun! There is room for improvements!!!!! Suggestions: Being that Paradise Shore is supposed to be an "exclusive" admissions than General Admission, I along with multiple guests that we're staying on Paradise Shore think that it needs a little more than just a bar, the wait attendants and amenities. I felt like most of the ambiance and entertainment was in the General Admissions area where the stage was, and they had more food options than on Paradise Shore. Food & Drinks we're overpriced... especially after we've rented a cabana that only came with 6 bottles of water and nothing else. Didn't feel "exclusive" or "VIP" at all. There needs to be more amenities, food & drink options added especially for Paradise Shore attendees. Although we did have a Cabana, we enjoyed our time in the General Admissions area more than Paradise Shore.
