Honestly, I feel like it is so difficult to find a GOOD nail salon in College Station and I've been here twice now with two different nail technicians and both have done a wonderful job on my nails! She helped my grandmother in with her walker & helped her down to chair. After spending time & getting her nails done she helped her to the chair for pedicure. Although it's cool to go here with my mother because she knows all of the staff, I could have gotten a cheaper pedicure and manicure with better service in Austin! My pedicure was decent but not perfect. The attention to detail wasn't there and I felt like the lady was rushed. My manicure was even quicker and should not have been as my hands needed some TLC for sure. The music was nice, a mix of Chris Stapleton and Adele. The place was generally clean. I still don't think we should have walked out paying over $100 with tip...and my polish already came off on 2 toes. RIP! read more

It makes me sad to see such low reviews on such a wonderful nail salon. I've been coming here since middle school; for homecoming and prom, to sorority formals, to interviews, and to weddings. I don't get my nails done other than for special occasions a few times a year and they always remember me and my name, and ask me about what's going on in my life. I moved out of College Station after college and have yet to find a nail salon with such friendly people and reasonable prices. The service isn't the fastest and sometimes I have to wait longer than I expect, but I think it's fine when you're treated so nicely. read more

Nancy was amazing! She did a great job with mani pedi and arm massage was so relaxing.

I went in today and requested a pedicure and dip nails. When seated for the pedicures, I asked to see the choices for the gel color. The man brought a book and I selected number 236. He sat the book down and proceeded to do the preliminary pedicure steps. When he got to the part for color, he opened the book again and asked what color. I pointed to a dark maroon color and said 236. He repeated 236 and then went and got the color. When he started painting my toes, it seemed much lighter than I expected. I commented that it was much brighter than I expected. He didn't say anything. I thought it may get darker with another coat. When he was done, I went to the front where the book had been placed and opened it to check to see if I had not said the right number or if I was remembering it incorrectly. No, 236 is a dark maroon. I brought this to his attention and he pointed three selections over in the book and said that was the one he had done. It's a very bright red color. There was no apology and no offer to correct it. Lesson learned. I will not go back to this place again. read more

Left this location no more than 15 mins ago after terrible customer service. Entered today with no appt. Sign says walk ins welcome. Busy Thursday. I check the signs for an underarm waxing. Not listed. I ask the gentleman for the price and he verifies with another woman before replying 15. I decide on a Mani and an Underarm wax, both at $15. While waiting for approximately 10 mins I am motioned over by the wax tech. She's very sharp with me and offers no greeting. As I sit in the waxing room after removing my shirt she comes in angrily and slams the door. A few items fall that were hanging on the back. She turns to me and requests to see my underarms after looking at them both she looks at me and says it's 25 for waxing. Now mind you I'm visiting from Brooklyn, recently had a wax within 2-3 weeks. She says it wasn't here! I told her that's fine if she does not want to do the wax, I'll get my manicure. We walk to the front of the store so she can point to the sign to show the price. Underarm waxing isn't listed. At that point I told the whole place thanks but no thanks and scooted on out. Why give my money for such a subpar experience? Prices aren't the best. And the waxing room did not have sanitary sheets or gloves. Thankfully I dodged a bullet. read more

Loved the pedicure they gave me, but I absolutely hate my manicure. Many of my nails look slanted when they shouldn't be. The lady has cut my fingers many times and basically put a lot of rubbing alcohol on my fingers which burns badly and on top of it taken her fingernails and digging them in my fingers. I was really excited to try this place, but was very disappointed. The lady that did my toes hurt me several times when trimming my cuticles and had no sympathy when I continuously pulled my foot away. I also told her several times that I did NOT want her to exfoliate my legs because I had just gotten a spray tan for my cousins wedding, but she still did the sugar scrub. I pulled my leg away before she put it on and said I didn't want it, but she began to slather it on anyway. None of the employees spoke very good English, which made everything that much harder. read more

Just don't bother. I was so disgusted when the guy across was from me and as basically screaming from his pedicure because the nail tech was digging around one of his big toes. The towel they used was too hot and my skin is very red. Too much lotion on my legs and arms I felt greasy when I left. I don't think they used the proper nail polish remover because it took forever to soak and the shellac was barely moving. My nails feel sharp and thin now since they used the dremmel to remove the rest of the shellac. Expensive pedicure for an ok job. read more

I gave Angel Nail a try a few days ago. Peter worked on my nails. He was nice and friendly and did a good job despite me having to point out a lot of unevenness in my nails . I kept asking for shorter nails and he didn't want to do shorter. He kept saying how "pretty" long nails were and I ended up with super long nails. (I work on a computer) . Also, I wanted black shellac but said I was debating shiny or matte, he said how pretty shiny is. Well I ultimately decided on shiny BUT as he was fixing the uneven shape after applying shellac he put acetone on my nail and it turned matte...he looked surprised and told his coworkers what happened...so I figured he just did not know how to do matte so he suggested shiny. Well now he knows. One of his female coworkers kept running over to him giggling and whispering in his ear, sitting next to him nudging him to "look" as he was doing my nails. Rude. Overall this is an okay place but I'll go elsewhere to avoid whispering and being talked out of what I actually want. read more

I went to this salon to get a gel fill on my acrylic nails. The nail tech didn't even fully remove all the polish and didn't try to file my nails. Two of my nails had fallen off so he glued on the fakes and then tried to take one off to fix it which really hurt. I noticed he was about to start painting and I had to ask him to fix the shape because the coffin tips were all round and he wasn't even going to file them. Then once he started painting the polish kept bubbling and they had to fix multiple fingers. He kept adding more layers of polish making it harder to dry so one ended up smearing when I got home - gel polish shouldn't smear. In addition, one acrylic nail broke the next day. Definitely won't be going back. read more

Hello to my first review on yelp ;)I am not impressed by the salon's work. I tried the SNS technique and hours later I still have powder glued to my cuticles and around the area. The technician made my cuticles bleed and was rough while doing her work. As well, I had to come home and file my nails by myself since the edges were poking out. I am never coming back. read more

This is my favorite salon in BCS. I've lived here almost 27 years and I refuse to go anywhere else. Devin and Julie are amazing and all the nail techs are phenomenal. The atmosphere is relaxing and personable, you are always a friend when you walk through the front doors. I rarely make an appointment ahead of time but when I just pop in I am seated quickly. You get way more than you pay for, the pedicures are amazing. They really spend time and make sure their work is MORE than exceptional and listen to what you want. Love this place! Sometimes I go to get my eyebrows done and it's $7 then the next time I'll go it's $12 then the next time it's $9. Great deluxe pedi by Lyna. Nancy does a fab dip manicre. My only gripe is when they are busy they will put your feet in pedi bath water and then you wait until a tech is available. Went here on a friend's recommendation and I will never go back. You choose your option from a "menu" of services of varying prices. Services were reasonably priced, but...you get what you pay for. The person who did my nails was distracted and not even polite or welcoming. On top of that, the service itself was awful. I had to clean up their mistakes myself. However, what completely ruined the experience for me was that the person doing my nails, and the other workers, made rude homophobic comments in response to something on the television. When I spend the extra money to relax and be pampered, I want to do it in a calm and welcoming environment, not one filled with sloppy work and hate. read more

I am really surprised by the prior review I have been going there about 7-8 years and won't go anyplace else in town. Julie and Devon are extremely welcoming. They know everyone by name and cater well to their customers. I have always had great manicures and pedicures. Their solar and gel nails last forever. The shop is clean and they update chairs, deco often. It is a very pleasant place to go as attested by many regular customers. I believe th experience described by other poster was an anomaly. I've been coming to Angel Nails every week for a while now. They always make time to fit in customers without an appointment and make you feel very welcome. Their signature nail system is what really drew me in. It's the best nail service that you can get and lasts for weeks. I like doing the signiture nails because you doesn't ruin your natural nail and you don't ever have to worry about chipping polish! Their "Spa pedicure" is absolutely worth the extra cost for a long relaxing service including a leg, shoulder, and arm massage.
