If I could leave no stars, I would. Beware, this place likes to scam and is not honorable. We were sent a gift voucher from a family member who does not live locally so my daughter could get her nails done. The bottom of the voucher had the website address to this business where I booked an appointment for my daughter to get her nails done for her birthday. I used the address on the website to find the location and brought my daughter for her first ever full set on her birthday. When I came in, I told them specifically I have a gift voucher to use like the bottom of the voucher stated. They said "okay" and set my daughter up to get started. They did a good job making her wishes come true on the set. However, when I went to pay they told me they don't honor these vouchers as they don't sell them on their site. I had proof of the voucher and the email sent from them when it was purchased and they still told me it would not be honored. They told me I'd have to reach out to my family member and get a proof of purchase from them (from back in December, by the way) in order for them to honor it. My family member lives in a different time zone and this was not possible at this time. The manager would not budge on the issue and told us they'd just take my daughter's nails off and we could leave. My daughter is 9 years old and was in full-on tears at this point. As a mom, obviously I just paid in full and walked out. Other patrons in there could not believe it as well. Just beware that their customer service and honoring a gift that came from THEIR WEBSITE is not something they will do and that's just shady behavior. Thanks for taking something that was supposed to be special for my daughter on her birthday and turning it into something negative and sad. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

I was really disappointed with the scammy behavior I experienced here. I called ahead to ask how much a French manicure with dip powder would be, and they told me $55 and up. I already thought that was odd... why isn't there a set price for a standard design? Unless you're adding tips or something extra, it should be one clear price. When I arrived, they told me they wanted to do dip and then paint the French tip on top, which I was told on the phone they could do it with dip powder. Still, I decided to give it a chance and asked if it would cost extra. The tech said yes, $5 more. So now we're at $60. Then she asked if I wanted to keep my almond shape. I said yes and told her I had already trimmed and filed them myself, so it wouldn't be any extra work. She replied that it would still be "more." Suddenly, she's talking about the price was $65+, which is $10 higher than what I was quoted over the phone. At that point I started wondering what else they'd tack on $2 just for lotion? It all felt really sketchy. The place was empty no guests, and the employees were doing each other's nails. The whole experience came across as unprofessional, and with the price climbing higher for less work, I decided to walk out. I don't have a problem spending $70 on nails plus a nice tip if the tech does well but I didn't appreciate the deceptiveness here. Clearly they mentioned $55 to begin with knowing it would bring me in just so they could raise the price without my knowledge but I pressed for more before they started thank God. I won't be coming back, and I wanted to share this review to warn others: make sure to get every detail of pricing upfront, because they clearly will try to gauge you. read more

I walked in yesterday without an appointment and was seen immediately by a wonderful woman who's name I didn't get. I asked for daisys and a clear background without a design in mind. They're great! She asked me why I came in and I told her I was heartbroken and hoped the nails would help. She gave the best advice: Guys (partners in general) are like clothes. I stopped here on my way to Kroger Marketplace and although they were quick to take a walk in and I didn't have to wait, my nail tech didn't speak any English whatsoever. I've had many nail techs in the past with very little English but it's never been an issue. Today, there wasn't anything that could be communicated without constantly calling someone else over to translate. She must have been very inexperienced because it took longer than any mani/pedi I've had done in my entire life. Ree and her husband took very good care of me! Her husband is AMAZING at the pedicures with a good massage if you like some pressure! Ree took care of my nails and was very precise about her work which I LOVED! This was my first and last time coming to this nail salon. I went to the lady that sits in the front row all the way to the right. She had an attitude and didn't make me feel comfortable at all. On top of that, she was rough when removing my dip powder nails and didn't even soak them in acetone (which is what normally happens when I go to a nail salon). She buffed my nails AFTER putting the top base coat on them which I thought was weird. After leaving the nail salon, I inspected my nails more closely and noticed that you can see buff marks all over them. Went recently to get a dip manicure. Cindy did an incredible job-- just moved so was very picky from years of going to the same tech. Really satisfied with the shape and application, and after 2.5 weeks the nails have held up. FYI: Tips are cash only and they have an ATM but it was down when i was there. There was significant leftover nail dust from previous clients in the built in UV lamps which had me concerned for COVID-19 cleanliness, which is the only reason I'm docking a star. I got my first ever pedicure at Angels Nails and Spa. It's probably a little ironic that this is my first one considering I am half Vietnamese (lol). We decided to go here very last minute and made no appointment on a Saturday afternoon. We only had to wait a few minutes before we sat down. I had no expectations going into this experience so I had no idea what to expect or had nothing to compare it to besides what I see portrayed on Movies and TV shows. The whole thing lasted maybe 20-25 minutes from sitting down to making a payment. My feet were touched and cared for like never before. I thought I had taken fairly good care of my little toes but apparently not. I think one of the most "painful" things they did was when they filed my nails down with a block and it was a bit too close for comfort.. but that wasn't their fault. The lady who worked on me barely said a word but smiled a lot. She would let you know when you needed to take your feet out of the water. The chairs we were in were massaging chairs which were nice and didn't look for feel old. Since I speak and understand Vietnamese I understood about 90% of the conversations during my visit. Contrary to popular belief, they did NOT talk trash about the customers, just more about personal situations. There are a few people who did "work" there that did barely anything besides set the chairs up and take naps... maybe it was a slow time (the whole placed was filled though). I liked my pedicure but wouldn't go back. If you're a guy and you have never had a pedicure before I would recommend going just for the experience. read more

The staff is professional and very helpful in helping you if you have questions about a specific nail design and such. They also do waxing from brows to bikini which I must say is very well priced in comparison to some other places. Now I can't speak for anything but the brows and they do an excellent job. Came in to get my eyebrows cleaned up. This salon has been on my list of rotations when it comes to getting my eyebrows waxed because of its convenient location, located off Holland Road. The inside of the shop is the same as any other nail salon, so nothing there that really made it stand out. I didn't have to wait too long before Christina was ready for me. She was very friendly and thorough and I was out of there in less than 10 minutes. I noticed the price is actually cheaper than the other nail salons I've been to that charge $9-10. Angel Nails only charges $8. Another good thing is that there was no minimum charge to pay with a card, although tips are cash only. read more

The place is clean, nice equipments, staff are pleasant. It's a pretty busy place especially on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I had their Lavender Feet spa with Pedicure and manicure gels. What a great atmosphere! I didn't really know what to expect as I went with my friend to her favorite nail salon. She always has great nails though so I had high hopes. I'd been a couple of places in the Virginia Beach and Chesapeake areas but didn't really find a place that wowed me quite like Angel Nails & Spa. When we walked in they were a bit busy for a Tuesday night but handled each customer with care and gave them the time designated for each service. I feel like this is important to say because no one wants to be rushed through a pedi or mani especially if this is something you use for self care or for relaxation. When they got to us we were so happy to be treated with the same attention and time that those before us experienced. My technician was Mike and he is very good at what he does! He had the most gentle way of handling both feet and hands. I'm super ticklish on my feet but did not feel like I was unable to enjoy any part of the pedicure. His attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The nail shop is very clean and is decorated with relaxation in mind. The shop owner clearly cares about his shop and the technicians working with him. I was in this evening. The place was really crowded. I wish the young lady checking us in had told me how long the wait would be. I literally sat with my feet in lukewarm/cold water for almost an hour before my pedicure started. This is normally a great place but tonight was just not. I had to ask the tech twice to fix nails she cut to a point. My manicure was not good at all. It was after closing and I totally understand the rush to go home but this felt very rushed. My cuticles don't look very good and neither does the paint. I have a job interview tomorrow so I may have to go some place else to have them fixed. It's sad because I like this place but I may have to start looking around for someplace new. Update! Less than a week later and my gel is coming off, hangnails like crazy.
