I've been coming here regularly for pedicures and gel removal only (gel-x isn't offered) for a little over a year. Unfortunately, it feels like the service has declined lately. During recent visits, I've had to remind staff of missed steps, and my last two appointments were mishandled, either the second service was forgotten or not communicated properly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At my most recent visit, the same technician as last time seemed unaware of social cues. I was clearly reading a book and hoping for a quiet session, but she kept interrupting with questions, so I had to put it away.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also had to tell her multiple times that she was being too aggressive, despite me directly saying "this is uncomfortable and I am not enjoying this", she didn't adjust her approach. I'm now left with broken skin. Condescendingly when applying the polish she added a question "does this hurt." I don't think this tech is licensed. Meanwhile my second service was completed I had to remind the 'tech' to add the clear coat. When it came time to check out I noticed they added an unadvertised additional fee. I went to this nail shop on a Friday afternoon around 3:45. Though I was one of the only people waiting , every nail-girl had a client in their chair. I came in for a gel pedicure , and was immediately put on the list when I walked in the door. This salon has some of the most diverse staff I've seen in the 757 which is a good thing. Most of the staff looks fairly young and there are different ethnicities on the staff as well. I would STRONGLY suggest you make an appointment with them because though I was a walk-in I waited around 45 minutes for my pedicure to get started. The ladies did make note that they appreciated my patience and took great care of me when I hopped in the chair. The woman who did my nails was very quick and precise with her work which I did like. I got the royal pedicure which included a mud-mask and a scrub. This was about $75 not including the tip. I will say compared to other shops in the area this is on the pricy side since things like paraffin wax and hot stones are extra to the pedicures and not included. However; the quality does seem worth the price so I will be back by appointment only. read more

Had amazing service here today! First of all, it's VERY refreshing that the aesthetic of the salon is different from what I normally see. It was very farmhouse and rustic, and it made me feel more comfortable. Secondly, the ladies who ended up working on our nails were understaffed today for various reasons, and were very apologetic about it and reassuring of how important we were as customers to them. Awesome place. My husband and I are here right now getting the deluxe pedi. We made an appointment beforehand so we didn't have to wait and they had two people to work on us simultaneously. They started with me and my husband had to wait just a few minutes on the talking massage chair with the water going so it was still relaxing and nice. They are busy so I'd suggest calling ahead. The ladies working on us are so nice. One with the knee tattoo and the other with a hand compression. They throughly did our feet and we're super nice when we half way switched from wanting a basic pedi to a deluxe one. I absolutely loved the lady that's working on me. Before I start this review I just want to say I do love and enjoy this staff and business every much and would 10/10 recommend it since I've been a customer there for years but this one particular day rubbed me the wrong way due to one workers attitude and demeanor. On a Sunday my mother and I decided to get pedicures and it was a day that my usually girl was off. I have got my nails done before from this place , but this particular time I think I got the best service. Place is easy to find with lots of parking spots. The space and the tools used are clean and simple . Making an appointment was fairly easy too , I mostly make appointments everywhere I go ,so I didn't have any particular difficulty to get in here I got a manicure, pedicure and ombré acrylic nAils. And it took two people to finish the service in about 40 minutes which I think is pretty fast , doesn't mean bad service though . Rachel was the nail artist this time and she was pretty great. I came in after a manicurist (who I had never had before) at my old nail salon completely ruined my nails by filing way too hard for a gel manicure. She had also done just a really poor paint job. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had called Lush to see if someone could remove the gel without damaging my nails much more and they said they'd be happy to help.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It took us at least 30 minutes to soak off the (very thick) gel, and my technician was extremely gentle when removing the final layer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After voicing my concerns about gel and keeping my nails healthy, I decided to go with a plain polish.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My nail tech freshened up my nails, made them look healthier and gave me the prettiest regular manicure I have ever had. The paint lasted almost two weeks! She also spent close to two hours with me at my appointment. When I came back, I was given a relaxing pedicure (I can't remember the nail tech's name) followed by a thorough full set by Jen. I started with very short, brittle nails so I was super impressed by how well they turned out! Yesterday I went in for a polish change on my toes and a fill in by Lyn. I had an appointment for 5pm. I arrived around 5:08, my maps took me around the back of the building. Everyone was busy with clients so I sat and waited in the front waiting area. I watched some nail techs approach the desk to ring up their clients and promptly leave the desk without acknowledging me in the slightest. No "hello", "we're busy", "someone will be right with you", nothing. I sat for 10 mins and no one so much as looked my way. My nail technician did a great job on my nails... but (a big BUT!) I don't think I've ever seen a dirtier nail salon. I was the first client to arrive on a weekend morning and it appears that the closing crew from the previous night had not cleaned anything in the salon before they'd left the night before. The floor was filthy and the tech was having to sweep first thing. The pedicure chair I sat in was covered in nail dust from a Dremel file. The manicure stations were covered in nail dust, nail clippings (I was the first one there and they weren't mine!) and it didn't appear that the stations had been cleaned in a very long time. I also didn't see evidence that tools were disinfected between uses ... not saying they weren't, but I didn't see autoclave wrappers or disinfectant rinses anywhere. I'm new to the area, so not sure if this is common around here, but similar salons I visited regularly in Chicago were never like this. It's really too bad, too, because my technician was super friendly, easy to talk to and really did a good job on my nails. read more

I called for a same-day appointment for an acrylic fill with gel polish and was fit it within an hour. When i arrived i was immediately greeted and told it would be a short wait so i grabbed a coffee from next door. The salon itself is clean, beautiful and very nicely decorated. All of their salon equipment was obviously new and very recently upgraded. Jen was my nail technician and i couldn't have asked for a better artist. I had a reference picture of what i wanted and she achieved it to well and beyond what i had imagined. She took her time with every step which was a breath of fresh air with a fill, generally you're the person who is being rushed as a fill. She shaped them perfectly and took into account my personal preference of thickness/look. Meanwhile she held great conversation even though it was very busy.
