The guy did a decent job and was professional. The lady is rude and does a horrible job. She talks about customers in Vietnamese and texts the entire time. She didn't clean up excess gel on the fingers and the paint job is so awful a 5 year old could have done better. I walked in and made an appt. for fill and pedi while visiting the area. I came back and was on time but still had to wait. No one greeted me...they just looked at me so I sat down. Not a big deal... I was told to pick a color which I did. Pedi was good. When I asked if he would be doing my nails he said, "no, she is". Which one I would have to find out! I was told to move and "sit here". I had gel color over pink and white. She did not make sure all color was off, even at end. I had to point out. She nicked me twice with dremel. She told me to wash my hands and "sit here". She ran out of salon with her wallet (which I noticed as she ran out) I thought she might be running to store. I used restroom and took my time. Another tech. told me to come over. She was doing gel since other person wasn't back? I guess they planned that but no one told me! Whatever...not impressed. Two days later and still having to file away rough spots. Uneven thickness, too much of a hurry to get me out. I plan to visit area again frequently but will need to find another place. read more

Straight out........Customer service, well, there was none. The gentleman who did my pedicure was nice, then a lady took over to polish my nails. No massage. No smile, no conversation, nothing! Then she did my manicure...............the worst one I have ever had. When she started to put the polish on my nails, she was slathering it on in gulps. I told her I didn't want thick, bulky uneven nails. She said, I know, he told me. I said, well I'm telling you. She ignored me. Then she asked if I wanted the matte top coat. I asked her if she put the color on already. She said, he told me you no want color, then began speaking to him in a foreign language. I told her I wasn't sure what she had put on my nails and because I wanted just clear gel ( or clear color) and I wasn't sure if she had put it on yet. Horrible. NEVER AGAIN. This is near my home and I desperately needed a pedicure before going on a trip this coming weekend and saw they had some good reviews. They were able to get me in for a walk in but my pedicure was rushed they didn't trim or shape my toe nails or scrub my feet which desperately needed it. I rarely get time away from my kids so I looked forward to a massage which I didn't even get any lotion. My polish was sloppy and all over the skin and the polish wrinkled. I went to this place yesterday 6/26/17 to get a pedi. This was my visit after a long time. I had stopped going due to poor service as did not have any staff other than the owner and 1 more lady, due to that the service was always in a hurry and not very detailed. I decided to try this place again because I stopped by and saw more staff and some changes inside. I first talk to the owner and asked her how much to do pedi with little design. She gave me the pricing. Yesterday, I stopped by in the morning and made an appointment at 2pm. When I went there, I was still waiting for my turn even past 2 pm. I then saw the other lady come up front so I took an opportunity to show the design on my phone and asked her if she could do that. First things she said "no", no design. I asked her why, do you not do designs? By then the owner came I told her she looked at the design and said yes she could do and wait for little while. I was then called little later and put my feet in water to soak. A guy came and did my pedi. Never had anyone put the base coat on nail and then slather some ointment on leg that is not massaged, a few minutes later the white streak from the ointment was showing. Anyways, he finished the polish and then I was told to wait for the owner lady to come and do design. I waited for total of 25 minutes and she was busy doing nails for others. It does not take 25 minutes to dry for them to do the design. I have been getting pedi done for many years from other places. I must say in between when I tried to first leave one time, the corner of one of my toe smudged little which took 2 second to fix but certainly does not need 25 minutes to dry. In fact I told the owner lady my all other toes are dry and she could start by then the other toe she retouch will dry but she said no. After waiting for 25 minutes, I tried to put my sandal to leave when the other lady saw and said I have to pay $30. I told her first put the top coat and let me get to the check out to pay as I was still by the pedi tub. I don't know why the owner had to put my feet in water if she did not have time to complete the pedi. I will never ever go back to this place. Business like this needs to close. There are lots of nail places at almost every street and finding one won't be difficult. I live very close to this place yet I had been going to other places even though I had to drive but it was worth it. She get no more chance from me and if I happen to know any of my friends going there, I will be sure to save them some horrible service and very very rude attitude, as if they are doing charity!! Came for the first time today since it is close to my house and I drive by it all the time. Needless to say I will not be coming back. I was in/out in 20 min, no hospitality, and for $30 not a lot was done. I feel like nothing was done, massage was mediocre, and I already have polish chipping off. Lotion was barely put on. The nail tech spent most of his time watching the television and not on my feet! The workers were constantly whispering to one another and I felt very uncomfortable. Not ever going back! read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. Please find another place to get your nails done! The owner of the shop, Richard, treated my 66 year old mom horribly yesterday. My mother has issues with her balance and has artheriosclerosis in her legs. Due to this, she sometimes needs to hold onto someone to walk. She was getting a pedicure, and she was wearing flip flops with foam between her toes. She needed a bit of help, so asked Richard if she could hang into his arm. Richard then says to my mother, "you really need to be sober when you come in here." My poor mom!! She told him she has medical issues, and he apologized, but WHAT!!! Who the hell just assumes something like that, then actually says it out loud to a customer?? My mom was in tears when she told me what happened. She will not go back there, and I hope that none of my friends will either. Please spread the news...Simply Nails should be ashamed of themselves. read more

Awful. My daughter was getting married the next day and when she accidentally snugged a toenail owner went crazy. The entire bridal party had to spend the whole hour listening to the husband yell at the wife owners in their native tongue. Very bad and awkward experience we will never go back. read more

Being new to the Sparks area, it was important to me to find a GOOD nail salon. I had a great nail technician in Sacramento. so my standards were high. Tried 4 different places around town before I gave Simply Nails a try. Lilly is an angel!! She did an excellent job on my french manicure. I got alot of compliments! I recently moved to Sparks and wondered why there are hardly ever any customers there. Now I know. I don't have names, but the man who does the pedicures is competent, he took his time and the result was satisfactory. However, their female help is awful. The woman who did my manicure was sloppy and rushed and obviously didn't care about customer satisfaction. I had to ask her to refile my nails twice, and it was still a sloppy, fast job. She had a horrible attitude, and was much more interested in giving a manicure to a co-worker. Even though there were no other customers, she rushed through my manicure. I could have done a better job on myself at home! Before I left, I spoke to the man who does the pedicures, who claimed he was the manager. When I voiced my concern, he just told me to go someplace else. Great customer service. LOL! Don't go there, you won't get your money's worth! read more

i never leave reviews at all, but this time it's necessary. this is my third time coming here, and i didn't get jim like usual, i got a female -which i think was the boss- and she did an awful job. jim usually does alright nails, but this woman did an unacceptable job. i came for a fill in and left with uneven, slanted, horrible nails. also, a cut finger because she was rushing. she didn't even file the sides of my nails good, and now they're all sharp and painful. i even left a tip, that i now strongly regret. going back tomorrow so they can look at how horrible they did, and i expect them to redo the bad ones. i only go to this nail salon because it's 2 miles from my home, but now i need to find a new place that's actually good! would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

By far the worst pedicure I have ever had! This place is close to my home and thought I would give it a try. I arrived a few minutes early and was told to pick out a polish. When I was ushered to the chair, the water was freezing cold and when I asked to have it warmed up I got a little attitude. The woman assigned to do my pedicure didn't speak to me at all even though I tried to chat with her. She proceeded to take off my polish, cut my toenails down and file them and that was the extent of any attempt to do the pedicure properly. From there she smeared cuticle remover/softener across each foot and then wiped it off without doing anything to my cuticles. Then she went thru the motions of dealing with my calluses by squirting a drop of soap on a little sponge and spent about 1 minute on each foot which did absolutely nothing except make my feet look a little more dry and in need of a PEDICURE! The next major disappointment came when she started to prep my toes for polish .... NO massage! The polish I chose was thick and gooey and even 2 hours after I left the salon, it still wouldn't dry so 3 of my toes got messed up and need to be redone. The entire time spent from the time I sat down to the time I was told (not asked) to leave the massage chair and go sit with my feet under a dryer was 18 minutes!! I basically spent $35 to get my feet washed in cold water by a rude person and have a polish job that a 5 year old could have done better. read more

I made an appointment for 5:45 which would leave enough time for a manicure, as they close at 7:00 pm. Traffic was terrible and I arrived at Simply Nails at 5:56 (11 minutes late). When I tried to go inside, they had locked the doors and gone home. I called the number and a woman answered. I told her I had an appointment but the door was locked. She said because I was late they closed. I double checked with her (and the website, and the sign on the door) that closing time was 7 pm, not 5:55? She stated that because I didn't call they closed. I started to tell her that it would be helpful to update their sign and website but in the middle of my sentence she hung up on me. They closed over an hour early and she's being rude to me?! How many times have you made an appointment at one of these places and they make you wait 10-15 minutes after your appointment time ? Stupid. This place is convenient but I will never go there. They apparently don't need customers. read more
