I saw a lot of men getting really great haircuts while I was there. But we went for a pedi/mani and gel polish. The soak/scrub was fine. A very nice Mexican woman did the original work and chatted with us. Some of the trimming needed to be redone. The polish was done by the woman who runs the nail studio. The polish was applied in a sloppy manner. It was not even, it did not cover the nails, it was all over the fingers and toes. We left disappointed. Within 4 days the nails started peeling. We went back and the woman redid a few of the nails but lectured us about something. She seemed to imply we had done something thing wrong. Within a few days more of the nails were bad. We had to go and pay for a new polish within 11 days of the service. read more

everyone was nice but one of the nail ladys was so rude, slapped my hand and cut me 4 times, not only that but was doing the design HER way not how it was intended to be and she left my nails in different shapes and sizes and at the end she left them really lumpy. i do not recommend getting your nails done with a lady with cheetah print kind of? brown and light brown glasses. read more

Tia and Lin are the sweetest people in the world. They always greet us with a smile, and I have never had them decline an appointment; they take us same day! I get my nails done by Tia, and the gel lasts 3 weeks plus! My husband was referred to Lin, and my husband is so particular with his hair, he will not let anyone but Lin cut his hair now. We have even taken our 3 year old grandson for his first barber experience to Lin. Lin is so great, and was so gentle and kind to our baby. If you want to be treated with champagne during your visit, you won't find it here. Lin's salon was referred to me by a coworker, and I was told that he does really amazing men's hair cuts! When I came here I had a high expectation and Lin himself cut my hair. Let me tell you Lin is of the best in the city of Reno! Since coming here he is now my guy! He is very good at accommodating me for my schedule and always finds a time slot that works for me, and for how busy he is he always makes the time to do your hair right! A friend recommended I come here, Booked an appointment for a manicure and pedicure. Service was rushed and both manicure and pedicure were messy and painful. Polish was all over the sides of my nails, and nail polish was bumpy. I was rushed out so they could get to the next customer. I am not satisfied with my service here. read more

Never again...lady and I came for a Pedi...rude is not even fair...never mind the fact she couldn't stay off her watch and phone while attempting to do her job, actually looking at texts and pictures, talking on the phone - meanwhile skipping steps - lotion on one leg, forgetting to do the other...when she was "exfoliating" my legs - didn't rinse it all off so I left with sand on my calves...there are to many shops in Reno...sad because they are right up the road and they just lost two monthly customers...$65.00 for rudeness, horrible job, and toenails I could have painted better...take my word - run in the opposite direction...so disappointing- I can see why the shop is empty. read more

This is by far the worst salon I have ever been to. Me and my sister got out nails done with my daughter today. I got a pedicure and the painted all over my toes including my sisters. My sister showed 2 inspo pics and was very clear. The lady painted the wrong color, the wrong shape, and the wrong length. My sister was very specific and kept telling her what she wanted but the lady kept saying she was going to fix it. At the end of the service the nails were absolutely horrifi. They were basically levitatimy off her nails, the wrong color, shape, length, and the design (which was a French manicure) was horrid. she asked for her money back or a discount and the lady said "I dont care you shouldn't have come here then" I was perplexed to say the least. She was saying the ugliest meanest things with no regard for what she had done. Do not go to this salon. The service is horrible. read more

I got a haircut there and asked for a little off the top and then practically got a buzz cut so now my summers ruined.

I visited Lin's for the first time because of a Groupon, and I am so glad I did. Steven did my pedicure and, man, does he give a great leg massage. My feet are silky smooth and my nails look great. They use sugar scrub, warms towels, and good lotion. The certainly don't don't skimp and the prices are really reasonable. I also spoke with the owner, Tia. I made an appointment for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. As a mom, making appointments is the only way I usually do things because of scheduling. I arrived 5 minutes early to my appointment, but had to wait 25+minutes for my manicure to start. Manicure was definitely quick and they seem to cut corners-no soaking, no use of a primer or bonding agent before the gel, and the manicurist also didn't go over the tips. Pedicure was just not good-they did a sloppy job of removing polish and the woman was so aggressive with the cuticle removal she drew blood! They also don't provide any magazines (unusual for a nail place). Will not be back. read more

I was very impressed with this salon for a pedicure. They were very clean. For example they se a plastic liner in the water basin, they wear gloves and they appear to autoclave their tools after each use. I will definitely be going back. They even but on a movie for the 7 and 10 year old that we brought with us after they got their mini pedicure of course. read more

Worst manicure experience I've ever had. The lady rushed through me- I get manicures to unwind and relax- not to get stressed out. When I got home, I realized there were parts of my nails near the base that were unpainted! This has never happened before. I hadn't noticed when I left because I was sick of my experience but the light nail polish contrasted with my dark skin tone makes the missing parts look especially bad. I'm not sure if it's the nail polish or the technique, but there were also little holes in my nail polish (not bubbles- but it looks like little dots of sunken in polish). Overpriced!!!!! Today I returned to a salon which I have used 4 times in the past. This is a small, unassuming salon, in a neighborhood strip mall. The husband, Lin, cuts hair while his wife Tia does nails. I had a pedicure and a full set of gel nails. No artwork. Nothing extra. Tia charged me $65!! Absolutely Outrageous!! In the past, for the same service, it was $50. When I asked "Why?" she told me it was because I chose gel polish. Never again!! This was a total rip off. My nails are plain and unexciting but for $65 I would have expected they would be something really special. My grandson was with me and she charged me an additional $15 for a child's pedicure (which was reasonable I thought) but I am horrified at what I was charged. For $80 I will go somewhere else. This is a newer salon but if they continue to overcharge like this they won't be in business very long!! I'am so very disappointed!!! Save your money. Find another salon!! read more
