Writing this as a warning to pet parents who are thinking of bringing their pets here: don't. There are a lot of good reviews and maybe they do a good job on the actual grooming some of the time but it is not a safe place to bring your pet. I used to work next door to this groomer and I regularly heard screaming and yelling, a man yelled all the time. Yelling at his employees, yelling at the animals. The dogs would go crazy barking and I would hear them yelping and crying through the walls and the man would yell at them. It was scary and sad. I wanted to write this review a long time ago but I was afraid to do it while I worked next door in case the man found out it was me. I had an appointment yesterday morning at 10:30 to have my longhair cat groomed up, which also which included a flea treatment... My cat seems like a new cat now she is more calm - she smells clean. He has always groomed my cats, and he does an exquisite job... My little girl, female, long-haired cat Ruthie - was groomed just yesterday by Buddy's/Angels pet service, and I have never seen her so calm... This place was around the corner and her legs where dirty dimmed to rain. That night she couldn't open her eye. Following day took her to vet she had soap in her eye. They rinised and gave her antibiotics drops. Her eye was terrible for 3 days. Cost me $135.00. The veterinary couldn't believe her hair cut. The name of the shop is now called Buddies. I did go back and told them about my dogs eyes. They did pay for her bill. But I had to go to my dogs regular grooming to fix her up. When I lived in Fullerton, I took my beautiful long-haired Norwegian Forest cat, Tiki, for grooming here every few months. I never had one issue, and the staff are very courteous and professional. The prices are also very affordable and fair. Tiki look beautiful when I picked her up and she had no signs of distress. I'm sorry that some of the other pet owners had a bad experience, but, even a man (or woman) who shaves will cut himself now and then. My dogs don't get groomed often, but with the hot weather, they needed to shed some hair. I don't have any other experience to compare to, but this is my experience with Angel's. My lab had a shampoo and cut, and she came out smelling good and looking great. My friend saw my lab and send in her lab; same great result. When I took my other dog in, my lab wanted to follow him to the back room, so I know there's no traumatization. My other dog came out nice and good smelling too. ive been taking my dog here for about 2 years now and i never really looked through the yelp reviews until this morning. A lot of the reviews were talking about how their dogs always shake and tremble when they take them here and many of them end up with nicks and cuts after. I never experienced (or at least noticed) this happening to my dog personally until today. Right as a parked in front of the store, my dog began to tremble in fear and even whine a little. I was a little confused and was thinking about the reviews i read earlier but just told myself that it was probably just my dog being nervous since he can get shy in public places. But when i handed him to the owner my dog just looked so scared but i tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best since I have been going here for 2 years. However once I came to pick him up the owner pointed out a cut on my dog's shoulder but still demanded the full price of $40. I was so caught off guard at the moment that I didnt say anything about it but once I took my dog home i saw that there was another cut on his leg. The fact that the owner did not take responsibility for it and didnt even apologize or anything is really disappointing. And it's not like this place is super cheap either I just have been constantly going to this same place bc its a small business I could help out and I never had a reason to not. I was more then impressed with my very first visit to this groomer. I have a white Maltipoo that requires careful grooming.... and an owner that has specific requirements....which would be me! I have been to 4 different groomers in the Brea, Fullerton, Placentia area and none came close to this groomer. Besides that? All the others were overpriced some were ridiculous. His prices are fair and therefore deserves tipping, which I never do for any other groomer. The place is small, which I love so my dog doesn't come home all stressed out for the multitude of dogs and all the noise they make. Took my Goldendoodle in to Angles on Placentia Ave 6 months ago picked up Max he was scared and desperate to leave. Dog looked good. Next day I was combing him out and saw two distinct cuts on his belly. I went to the shop with dog and they said I'm sorry they had a new groomer and he will never do it again. A month later I took Max back with promises from Angles they the new guy wouldn't touch Max. Again they washed and groomed Max. He looked good again. I get home and looked at his hind quarter and he had a bleeding cut. I was dumb enough to take my buddy there twice. Don't be dumb enough to take your's there once. read more

I have been coming here for years and Nicholas always does a great job! Prices are great compared to other local groomer spots. I recommend this place to all of my friends & family and when they do come they love it! As for the people saying things are going on in the back because your dog gets all shaken up, I highly doubt that. Dogs know when you are leaving them places and if your dog has anxiety, obviously they aren't going to want to get out of the car and be shaking. read more

I Forster for a dog rescue and I have picked up a few pups here. I have also dropped off my foster pups to get groomed. They are really nice and the prices are good. I was late 30 minutes and they still took my dogs. I do like how early they open which is nice! I definitely recommend this place. Will never bring my dogs back. My dogs tremble when I drop them off. I didn't think much of it but when they get home they won't eat, bark, or play until the following day. For this to happen to both my dogs, Shih tzu and poodle is unusual. This last time I brought them my poodle was crying after I picked her up. She had pain in her anal and it was really red. I ask the groomer what happened and he said it didnt happen there. Well, I dropped her off and she was perfectly fine. He keeps changing the prices, too. He increased the price from $50 for both my little dogs to $80. I was so upset he would not adjust the price. I will never return. There is another groomer across the street that I will try. I truly feel so sad when I pick them up from groomers and they are traumatized. I kept giving them chances but when my poodle was physically hurt and crying, no more!! read more
