I purchased a very beautiful vase flowers from this local business (my go to for flowers) for my husband while he was in the hospital and unfortunately we had to celebrate his birthday there. Then I also had the basket of flowers created for a really good friend for her birthday The staff was extremely helpful with the selections too. The value I spent was very reasonable and affordable. I will use them again and again and again as I support local small businesses regularly

I got two dozen long stemmed red roses that were arranged beautifully, wrapped in pretty paper. this would've cost me an arm and a leg somewhere else but you cannot beat the prices here! I called the store to set up delivery to a major warehouse and I was nervous that the flowers wouldn't be delivered. I was wrong! they were delivered on time and in perfect condition. I couldn't be happier! thank you to the staff at Angel Petals for your amazing costumer service time and time again!

I recently moved to SD and could not find a flower girl on insta who could do a late notice order. Luckily I called this business and right away had what I needed , paid half and paid the rest the next day ! They came out beautiful & more than I expected . Service and shop is great but today it didn't deliver. I came in and asked for a $50 bouquet to be made with stargazers and fillers and this is what I got. Maybe it's my fault for saying stargazers and fillers and that's literally what I got. Normally they add some other flowers in it to fill it in but they didn't today. I was happy they were open on Christmas Eve, but they could have filled the bouquet more. read more

I got straight up ignored -it was very awkward. I was on a stroll after a pit stop to 7/11. I was walking by and decided some fresh flowers would be nice on my kitchen table. I was panning to see what pre-made bouquets they had. The store is quite intimate, which is why this encounter was so awkward.When I walked in I looked around and said hello. Not even an acknowledgment of any sorts. One lady kept her back turned, the other just stared. Ummm okay?? Just off putting when it's such a small shop. I didn't feel welcomed or comfortable to look for long after that. They were closing in 20 minutes so maybe that had something to do with it ? I don't think I'd come back on that interaction alone. Came in last minute gift for a gathering I was going to. Wish they had more of selection of arrangements. I took the rose special they had. Girls were not very friendly and did not engage in any conversation. Flowers were pretty and I was gifted a week later a small sunflower arrangement from. Thank you guys so much! You really saved my day! These florists made a wedding bouquet in less than 5 minutes for my sister. It was just incredible. When I came there, a really nice young lady showed me some examples of bouquets I could choose from. I chose a dozen red roses bouquet, with some tiny little flowers, with white stripes. It is incredibly beautiful. A very professional work! I can't imagine how someone can do such a neat, accurate job in less than 15 minutes. Also, I got a vase as a present! A really nice bonus. Angel Petals Flower Shop is a cute little flower shop on busy Highland Avenue in National City. I stopped by there today and browsed around at their nice and affordable arrangements of flowers and cool gift cards. There have been a long list of owners and the shop has gone through 4 name changes. I remember this location when I lived here about 20 years ago-the shop has a very unique, distinct feel to it. Angel Petals uses FTD for flower wire services, and always has specials available. They have cute flower & balloon arrangements. I attended a funeral with my ex-husband recently in the South Bay and Angel Petals did the funeral flowers-they were lovely yet in keeping with honoring the sentiments of the departed. This is a great little flower shop for National City. read more

Very disappointed!! My husband ordered the cotton candy bouquet and paid the premium price and what I received is nothing to what is on the website (even smaller than the regular price bouquet) Also, the flower shop wrote the wrong name on the card, my workplace was going crazy trying to find out who they were for. I most likely got the flowers meant for the other gal instead of the ones my husband paid for. read more

Beautiful red roses. With an accent of one white in the center to represent my deceased daughter. Matt the owner was willing to credit my card for an error I made on the order. He also called to verify my mom's address as she wasn't answering her phone! My hometown in National city California. This is the best place for last minute flowers. Seriously !! Day of my nieces prom she didn't have a corsage and I called to have one made with white roses and the ribbon the color of her dress. History

Established in 2009.

The flower barrel has been there for YEARS! My dad has owned the local business, Dream Crystal, for a long time now and the building owner came and asked him one day, “do you know anyone that wants a flower shop? If not, I’m going to take it down and make it into parking spots”. My dad didn’t want to see the building go down, so he took over and here we are! Running it together as a father-daughter duo.

My name is Brianna and I have been doing flowers since 2009! My family took over the ever so famous, flower barrel on Highland Ave when I was in high school and now I am running the place. I love to connect with people and make everyone’s ideas come to light. I also enjoy making people smile with flowers. It all comes full circle.

They completely forgot about our appointment for funeral flowers and stood us up. To start, Santa…read morewas recommended to us by the mortuary so we called - MULTIPLE times and she never called back. When we finally got a hold of her, she said we would need an appointment so we scheduled one for two days later for 1 pm. We got there a little early (the location is horrible in factory like settings) and the door was locked. We texted Santa letting her know we were there for the 1 pm appointment. A few minutes later, she called and said she COMPLETELY FORGOT about our appointment and that she would be late. She did say someone would open the doors for us to begin looking at arrangements. We agreed to wait since she said the doors would be opened and that she would be 10 minutes. We got out of the car and waited an additional 10 minutes and NO ONE OPENED THE DOORS. This was wholly unacceptable and unprofessional. We are mourning and she completely "forgot". Stay away from this irresponsible woman and business!!! UPDATE: After we left after no one opened the doors, Santa had the nerve to text and say we were not there when her employee arrived (cause no one was even in the building!!) to open the doors. She never said during the phone call that someone was not inside. Still, we waited 10 minutes and no one opened. The bad attitude and level of disrespect is astounding. Horrible business!!!!

So this is literally some people who sell flowers out of a van right off the 805 freeway if you take the palm or 47th street exit. This van has been showing up here for years and years as long as I can remember, I can definitely say over 10 years. They're here at this spot everyday usually from early in the morning (I'm gonna say 7ish or earlier) til about when the sun starts to set. Sometimes if it's raining bad I won't see them there or they'll close early. I use to come here since they had $5 bouquets, which last time my friend went they still did. Good price for the budget friendly shopper. Very convenient for me since it's near the freeway entrance too. I also once got a cute basket of roses with assorted flowers for $15 too. I remember when I was staring at a basket a couple of the roses had that old look on the petals, without even asking the lady said she'll change the roses for me. I thought that was nice. They usually bumped the rose bouquets to $10 on Valentines and Mothers day but it doesn't stop the line of cars from showing up, but yea if you're ever in the area and wanna buy something simple for someone special stop by.

This wholesale flower market was such a discouraging experience. All of the flowers were sad and dying and brown and it is pricey for a "wholesale pricing" business. I ended up having to go to Trader Joe's for three of the flower varieties I was looking for and not only did Trader Joes have them but they were vibrant and lively and, far less expensive. I can see from the comments above that they have done this same mistake many times. Then when I complained they agreed to refund my order. They charged me $124 for dead mini shriveled up roses a shit ton of white carnations that hadn't barely bloomed yet. And brown tipped ugly sad gloomy dead supposed to be white orchids. All the flowers were mini and there was string showing already! The Lei was shoved in a bag in a box wrapped with an ice pack. I had to sadly compost it. It was that sad. After all that. Only gave me a partial refund and won't respond anymore to me. Please Don't give this place anymore chances to screw up and scam you into buying dead flowers with carnations as fillers. (the other pics of them doing the exact same thing to other customers!)

I visited this shop on Valentine's Day to buy flowers for my girlfriend. After paying for the flowers, the owner chased me out of the store, accused me of stealing, and threatened to check security cameras and involve law enforcement. He claimed he was being cautious because someone had stolen from him before. However, he refused to ask his employee who took my payment for the flowers. To make matters worse, he used racial slurs, and said that I must be a democrat since I was so defensive. This baseless accusation and the owner's offensive behavior were both humiliating and completely unfounded, especially since it all happened in front of other customers. He even came up to my vehicle, grabbed my window, and yelled at me. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this shop to anyone. Response to business manager's comment: The comment suggesting I 'must be a Democrat' and that I 'look like someone who steals' carries a racial undertone that I find concerning. It's disappointing when people judge others based on stereotypes, and I don't believe that's right. As a Republican, I may not agree with Democratic beliefs, but I still respect them as fellow people. To clarify, the lady I paid asked if I wanted to grab my items immediately or after, and I chose after. I also asked the owner to speak with her at that moment, but he declined, saying he was too busy. I was willing to stay for him to address it, but he refused. My girlfriend, who was on the phone and overheard the conversation, suggested reporting the incident to the BBB. Instead, I decided to leave a review to address my concerns directly and constructively. I was recommended this shop by a few different family members who live in the area and frequent the business, but after this experience, none of us will be supporting it going forward. read more

Wow! The flowers for my wedding were so beautiful from this shop! The manager was so professional and helpful! My bridesmaids had to come in and do a lot of my planning for me since I live out of state, and they received excellent service. My maid of honor lives in TJ and doesn't speak slot of English but the girls at Angel Petals were very accommodating to her as well. It's hard to plan a wedding when you live out of state but they really made it happen and I can tell you since I'm moving to San Diego I will ONLY use this flower shop from now on!
