Beautiful pieces at reasonable prices…read more This is not a Goodwill, so don't expect the pieces to be cheap. What's funny is we were just at Goodwill so I saw a glass jar that was similar to one I found at Goodwill, it was $8 at Goodwill and $34 there. However, that was the only piece I found at Goodwill, whereas here there were so many beautiful pieces. You really can't compare the two, so I'll stop here, but I just wanted to make that clear. I've been into helping the environment recently, so I want to buy secondhand pieces when I can. We were looking for a vase. I ended up finding a gorgeous shell shaped vase. They actually had two, but one had a crack on one side, which is why it was discounted by $50. I decided to go for the non cracked one, which was $140. I think this is reasonable for the quality and it's a statement piece. I saw tons of other items that I loved. There was a standing desk for around $350 and a lot of benches and tables all in the couple of hundred dollar range. Again, not cheap, but definitely less expensive than they probably were when they were new. The guy working there was really nice and helpful. Parking was easy on both sides of the building. They pack this place full of such beautiful finds. I will definitely be back.

On my last visit, I found an extra-large bar shaker, which was such a win. It's perfect for making cocktails for a group instead of having to mix multiple rounds. It was a great find, and I knew it would get picked up immediately, so I wanted to make sure that they held them for me while I shopped around as they were too big to fit in a cart. I urged the associate to do more than just place a sticky note on it that says "CSS" (customer still shopping) and at minimum take my name if she's unwilling to place behind the 2 ottomans behind the counter like I had requested. She assured me not to worry, and that both will be available to purchase when I go to checkout. Well guess what?! They ended up selling both of the ottomans I had put on hold while I was shopping! The associate didn't even apologize and the manager wasn't willing to lift a finger to make it better. I was so upset I ended up cancelling my transaction for the other items I had shopped for and left. Do NOT trust these associates to actually hold your items, even when you urge them to take more info/action. The least that should've been done was offering a discount on the other products I was planning to purchase (I even asked the manager, and she said "no" and was equally as unapologetic as the associate who was supposed to hold my items). Purely infuriating & dissappointing, will be avoiding returning to this store at all costs.

I decided to stop in at Dwell to see if anything felt like a good fit. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for this time around - though they had plenty of great pieces and they get new items in all the time - but I have to share how wonderful and helpful their team is. Not only is the store well designed and easy to navigate, but while I searched, I was asked by a few team members during my walk around if I needed any help. They weren't pushy and didn't stop me from what I was doing - just gently reminding me they were there if I needed them. Eventually, I realized I could use their help with some design choices I wasn't sure about. They happily walked around and showed me items like what I was looking for, and they were so helpful in honestly replying to my questions about whether certain items would look right with my furniture, which I showed them a photo of. They were honest and weren't just trying to make a sale - letting me know that my hesitation was right and the certain item didn't quite fit. But they showed me some other items that might. Super helpful and I truly appreciate their time and friendly demeanor. Now, to the gem I found along the way! Last holiday season, I badly wanted to purchase this adorable golden bear decor, as it reminded me of the giant golden bears out on Water Street. However, they sold out quickly and had to be purchased as a pair with a second panda decor that I didn't want, so I never purchased it. Imagine my surprise when I walked in to the Interbay Dwell location today and found it! I'm so excited to display it for this holiday season. Once I finish up with my move, I'm excited to go back to Dwell and figure out the finishing touches. And I know the friendly team there will be there to help!

We first saw dining tables, plates, chargers, etc. Everything was laid out in dinner party designer style. They also had a variety of deco and accessories on tables and in cabinets. Beyond that was a bedding section. Laundry and mirrors were up next. From there we headed atriums to the left side of the store and into the patio and garden area. The patio furniture was a personal fave. I enjoyed the setups they had and options. The prices were lower than we anticipated them being for the location and style of the shop. If you're looking to shop early for a holiday at full price they have it (Easter, 4th of July, St Patrick's day) I suggest waiting for the clearance prices. It's also a great place for holiday décor sales. The Halloween & Thanksgiving items are 75% off, and the Christmas items are 50% off as of January 2024. Unfortunately, this last visit was a mixture of the good and the ugly. The good was that they are stocking even more items than ever before. If you can't find it anywhere else for a good price, then you'll definitely find it here. The employees are always very nice & helpful. The ugly was the restroom situation. I should have known right away when I saw the dirty door leading into the restroom. I'm not exaggerating when I say it is absolutely atrocious. I certainly hope that the employees have their own private bathroom. To add insult to injury, they had no paper towels or toilet paper in the dispensers. Most likely because they were all rusted and falling apart. The toilet paper roll was just sitting on top of the toilet tank lid. The paper towel roll was by the sink. How many hands have touched these paper product rolls? It was horrifying! I had to use my own hand sanitizer after touching that towel roll. The only thing operational in that restroom was the soap dispenser on the wall. Honestly, I don't remember it ever being this unsanitary. I hope management can get with their corporate office to get a total renovation. It's very sad.

I went in expecting something a little more elevated, maybe even a little more unique, something that justified all that visual hype. Instead, the second I walked in, I had instant déjà vu. It felt like I had just walked into Pottery Barn and West Elm at the same time. Same look, same layout, same safe choices. You could swap the store signs and I genuinely don't think anyone would notice. After a few minutes, it stops feeling like browsing and starts feeling like you're looping the same store over and over again. It is still nice to walk through, I will give it that, but this is your reminder not to believe everything you see online. A lot of this feels like basic furniture dressed up to look amazing, different, and higher end when it really is not. And since this mall operates like a full price only environment, expect to pay two or three times what any of this should realistically cost.
